Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 413

Chapter 413

The next three days passed me on mostly doing nothing. I got the cash, that got delivered to me in a nice suitcase the day after the hunt. I ended up just putting it in my vault. Then somehow I got the opportunity to tag along with Ki'rai and her crew. I was mostly watching, though.

Tam was kinda pissed at me since I completely forgot about him when Jayadeva came to me and asked to go hunting with the soldiers, so he spent the whole day alone in my room.

He made a mess in the room, but I was more concerned about the fact, that he was a whole day without food and water. PETA would hunt me down if they would ever find out. Fortunately, he was a chicken, and couldn't snitch on me.

Things got more interesting when on the fourth day I found out that we will be joined by the US military force, which was supposed to undergo the same training that India's soldiers already did, and later join the ranks of hunters.

This was just an appetizer to a bomb that Aisha dropped on me a bit later when she found me playing with Tam in the city center.

- I need to talk to you - she started.

- About?

- Me and Will... We have been invited to fly to the United States and appear on a talk show together, but I want you to also tag along.

- What? - I snorted, and almost ridiculed her, but then I thought that there has to be a reason for her to ask me that.

- I need you to have an eye on Will, and if something happens, you are the only one who can stop him, or help him. Not to mention, that if something is able to get through to him, it's you.

- He is pissed off at me, I doubt he would listen to anything I would say to him.

- He might be angry, but trust me, he always listens to you. Not always do what you tell him, but always listens.

I sighed.

- Fine, fine, fine... I'll go with you, but I'm not appearing on any TV show.

- Are you sure? It's Late Night Show with Jason King. The whole of America will be watching - she said not really hiding her excitement.

- In case you forgot, I don't really care.

- You have no idea who Jason King is, do you? He is the funniest guy ever! You are going to love him!

- Yeah, I doubt that.

- Why are you always so pessimistic? Anyway... We will get rooms in a five-star hotel. Limousine, and a private driver.

- Ok. I'm starting to think that I don't need to worry about Will, but I should really be concerned about you.

She winked at me in response.

- We are leaving tomorrow. Pack some nice clothes, Peter - she said, turned around on her heel, and walked off.

- Hey! Are you telling me my clothes are not nice?!

- Yes, you wannabe punk!

- How dare you! - I shouted and sighed.

Part of me was excited that I'm gonna get the hell out of Ark, the other part was concerned about publicity.

I went to really buy some clothes, and Tam followed me. I couldn't take him with me, so I needed to leave him with somebody. The first person that came to my mind was Jayadeva since he owed me one.

So after getting two sets of the stuff I was wearing and throwing it into the vault, I want to visit him in his workshop. He was busy making weapons with a bunch of his workers. The power hammers and electric tools were all on. The noise was so loud, that all of the people were wearing protective earpieces.

Rishi was also enhancing stuff with his magic in his corner.

- Hey! - I shouted, to pass through the noise of that place.

- Peter? How can I help you?! Let's step outside! - he shouted, and immediately started walking towards the door.

I got outside faster than him since I was closer to the door.

- What's going on? - he asked me when he got out.

- I need somebody to take care of my chicken for a while. Can you do it for me? - I said, pointing at Tam, walking on the ground around me.

- Are you leaving somewhere?

- Yes. So? Can you do that for me?

- Sure. Do you want to leave him here now?

- Yeah, it would be nice.

- Ok...

- Don't worry, Ke is smart. If you tell him to stay somewhere, he will. You just need to feed him.

- Ok, Ok... - he nodded.

- And don't keep him in your workshop. It's too loud there.

- I'll find some good place for him - he promised.

Then we shook hands, and I left. Tam didn't need to be informed that he was staying with Jayadeva, since he was listening to us talking, and he understood it without any specific order.

? With that taken care of, I didn't really have anything more to do. Still, I needed to let know Ki'rai that I will be gone for a few days since she would get upset again if I didn't.

I killed the time by roaming around, then had a beer in the pub with Amit, and by the time we finisher, the hunters started coming back, so I went outside to wait for her.

She returned pretty fast, and while the lizards were occupying one of the access points, I approached her.

- Hey Ki'rai.

She turned around, twisting her head to the side.

- Hello, Peter.

- I'm leaving for a couple of days, tomorrow.

- Whare are you going? Back to the wastelands? Then I'm going with you!

- No, no, no! I'm not going to wastelands. I'm going with Aisha and Will. They have been invited to one of the countries on earth, and want me to tag along.

- On earth?

- Yes, why?

- I won't be able to go with you then. It's too early. Hatta told me, that we need to be introduced to humans from earth slowly. He wants us to hand around with soldiers, but others don't want to slow our progress - she explained.

- I'm sure one day we will travel together all around the planet, and you will visit all the countries out there.

- I'm not sad Peter.

I nodded. Maybe she wasn't sad, but I was at least a little bit.

- Have fun, Peter - she said.

We spent a moment looking at each other, and then she ran towards me and hugged me. I petted her on the head.

- I'll bring you something nice, from my trip. Ok?

- Ok.

And then we went our separate ways. The sadness I was feeling, only got worse, as I left her.

That period of time came to an end with 3 541 029 points remaining on my account, and 20 class points.
