Chapter 224 Conquering the Floor Boss, Overpowered Skills
Chapter 224 Conquering the Floor Boss, Overpowered Skills
Arrow Black Hole!
The instant Alice's [Space Arrow] pierced Infernos, reality itself seemed to shatter.
The arrow trembled mid-flight, distorting as its glowing form grew unstable.
Then, with a sound like grinding metal and ripping fabric, space around the arrow twisted violently.
A swirling vortex of darkness erupted from its tip, growing larger with each passing second.
The black hole formed in a heartbeat, expanding like a blooming flower of destruction.
It started small, no bigger than a human head, but its pull was immediate, but the very fabric of space distorted as the black hole grew rapidly to the size of a car.
Its edges pulsed with a strange, otherworldly energy, shadows writhing like living tendrils.
It began drawing everything toward its center with an almost cruel determination.
Rocks cracked and broke free from the walls, chunks of molten magma flew through the air, and Infernos, the mighty Magma Warden, was caught at the heart of its wrath.
"GRAAAAHHHH-"
Infernos roared, his massive wings beating furiously as he tried to escape.
Streams of molten fire spewed from his mouth, but the black hole absorbed everything.
His colossal frame was dragged closer and closer, and despite his immense strength, the vortex's pull was inescapable.
Damage notifications exploded above his head, each one signaling his inevitable doom:
-37,847,822!
-38,272,849!
-47,839,950!
The damage wasn't just from the black hole's gravitational force; massive boulders and jagged debris slammed into his body, dealing additional hits.
His health bar plummeted with every second.
Infernos wasn't the only one struggling.
The cavern itself seemed to groan under the force of the black hole.
Cracks spread across the floor like spiderwebs, and molten rivers were redirected toward the vortex.
But there was a problem with that: as they were in a cave, which means a closed space, Alex and Aurelia were also being pulled toward the black hole.
Not even Alice, it's caster, was immune.
Alex braced himself, digging his claws into the rocky ground to avoid being dragged.
"Alice!" he shouted over the howling winds, "This thing's insane! Can you control it?"
Alice's face was pale as she clung to a jagged outcrop, her hair whipping around wildly.
"Not... really!" she yelled back. "I didn't think it'd be this powerful!"
Even Aurelia, with her agility, struggled to maintain her footing.
She managed to latch onto a nearby pillar and pierce the rock with her dagger, her teeth clenched as the pull grew stronger.
'I'll need to be far away next time,' Alice thought, mentally noting the sheer destructive power of her skill.
She hadn't expected her own creation to be this uncontrollable.
The black hole persisted for what felt like an eternity, but in reality, only twenty seconds passed.
Twenty long, grueling seconds of chaos, destruction, and the desperate fight to resist its pull.
Finally, the black hole began to collapse.

It shrank rapidly, folding in on itself before vanishing with a low hum, leaving behind an eerie silence.
Everything that was sucked inside of it had disappeared too.
Infernos stood, or rather, what was left of him did.
His once-majestic wings were gone, one torn to shreds and the other completely sucked into the void.
His molten armor was cracked, and his towering frame trembled.
He was barely alive, his health bar reduced to a sliver.
There were many things that needed to be understood about this black hole.
First of all, how was the damage calculated? Was it based on Alice's current level or power or was it proportional to the enemies' health?
If it was the second option, then this became one of the game's strongest spells ever.
Just imagine a level 1,500 NPC like Lord X getting sucked into the black hole and instantly dying from it.
Though the cooldown was of one hour, it was still nothing when such an ability was at play.
Alex didn't hesitate.
With lightning speed, he dashed forward, his claws glowing ominously as he activated [Bleeding Claws].
"This ends now!" he declared, slashing twice in quick succession.
Slash! Slash!
Infernos let out a final, guttural roar before collapsing.
His massive body crumbled into a heap of molten rock and ash, and the cavern fell silent once more.
Ding!
[You have slain "Infernos the Magma Warden" and gained 1.3 billion experience points.]
Ding! Ding! Ding!
[You have reached level 378, gaining 4 stat points for every attributes and 5 free points to assign.]
[You have reached level 379, gaining 4 stat points for every attributes and 5 free points to assign.]
[You have reached level 380...]
[You have reached level 381...]
[You have reached level 382...]
Alex smirked as he read through the system notifications.
His progress was accelerating faster than he'd anticipated.
Alice and Aurelia weren't far behind.
Alice's level jumped from 329 to 336, while Aurelia surged from 272 to 284.
By how easily they defeated this level 800 boss, it seemed like it wouldn't be a problem to them at all to go even higher, right?
"Tier 6 is just around the corner," Alex said, his voice filled with anticipation. "Once we hit that, we'll become even stronger."
The system chimed again, but for Alex only this time, confirming their victory:
[You have defeated the Floor 7 Boss.]
[Floor Bosses Defeated: 7/10.]
[Only three remain.]
He was also getting close to reaching the top of the tower and thus defeating every single floor boss to see what he would get from it.
Alex approached Infernos' remains, his eyes gleaming with focus.
He crouched down and activated [Extraction].
A golden light erupted from his palm, illuminating the cavern as the boss's essence was drawn forth.
When the light faded, an item materialized in Alex's hand.
His eyes widened in shock and excitement.
[Legendary Attribute Points Pack (Artifact)]
[Description: Permanently increases all your attributes by 100.]
"This…" Alex murmured, holding the pack as though it were the most precious thing in the world.
The [Attribute Points Packs] from the [Shadow Dire Wolves] or the [Superior Attributes Points Pack] of the [Scorpions of Oblivions] in the [Cave of Oblivion] were useful, but they only granted 20 points and 30 points.
This superior version was leagues above and even classified as an artifact.
Without hesitation, Alex activated the pack.
Ding!
[You have used "Legendary Attribute Points Pack."]
[All attributes increased by 100!]
A surge of energy flooded his body, the power so overwhelming that he briefly glowed.
Even Alice and Aurelia noticed the change.
"That's one hell of a boost," Alice said, raising an eyebrow.
Alex nodded, flexing his hands as he felt his newfound strength.
"Too bad this seems to be a one-time drop. I'll have to defeat this boss in NG+ for another."
With their business on the seventh floor complete, the trio headed toward the [Exit Pillar], a swirling column of light that would take them to the next floor.
The moment they stepped inside, they were transported to the eighth floor, the atmosphere shifted dramatically.
As this one is an open-space, Alice, Alex and Aurelia were teleported to different sides of the level though.
Regardless, they found themselves in an open expanse, a massive citadel looming under a darkened sky.
Towering spires jutted into the heavens, their silhouettes stark against the dim glow of an eternal twilight.
The entire structure was surrounded by a dense, impenetrable fog.
Alex stood atop one of the citadel's many towers, the wind howling around him.
Below, he could see dozens of monstrous creatures locked in brutal combat, their roars filling the air as they tore into each other with savage ferocity.
A system message appeared before him:
[Welcome to the eighth floor: Citadel of Eternal Dusk.]
