Chapter 90 - Dreadful Encounter.

/N: I made a mistake on the creatures' grades, From now on, the grades will be changed. The bear's grade has been changed from Rare to B in the previous chapter. The grades of creatures are based on their inborn talent and bloodline. Higher grade creatures are more powerful even if they are lower level. The lowest grade is D.]

[Frost Plated Bear killed. 850 Exp gained.]

After killing the bear, Aren threw a seed of the <Demonic Grasp> skill towards the Hare.

Since he had mastered the skill by manually executing it many times when he attacked that Blood Hexa Entity and also reached max level in the skill, he had pretty high control over it. So he skipped some steps and removed the blast effect when he executed the skill and only kept the vine effect.

The seed flew towards the Hare, but before hitting the Hare, it released a vine, which rapidly snared the Hare.

The Hare looks exquisite because of the four crystal feathers behind its back and a single frost horn on its forehead. Those four crystal feathers shone with beautiful dark blue luster and blue ocean patterns on them.

The Hare was weak and couldn't do anything while trapped by the vine.

Aren took out a sickle-like tool and cut off its four crystal feathered carefully before sending them inside his inventory.

After doing that, he went inside the cave, and to his pleasant surprise, he found three more Hares there.

Aren hurridly trapped them before they could run away and collected their feathers as well.

"Now, I only need to collect feathers from one Hare. Well, this went faster than I expected," Aren muttered as he left the cave and used his skill, the <Chemo Mask> before moving up on the mountain again while wondering if that Bear and Hares lived together in that cave.

Aren continued to move carefully and bypassed some beasts because they couldn't sense his presence.

After ten minutes, he found another cave and decided to go in there.

"There might be Hares inside," Aren muttered as he slowly made his way towards the cave from the side and peeked inside the cave. The cave was spacious, and it had an additional path to the left inside.

Seeing that there was no one inside the cave, Aren entered the cave without making any sound since he wasn't sure if there was anyone deeper in the cave.

When he arrived at the point where the new path inside the cave began, he stopped and peeked inside again, only getting startled.

There was a pond inside, and four Hares were moving around the pond and eating some flowers and plants beside the pond.

However, the thing that startled Aren was a creature swimming in the pond.

It was a two-headed snake. It was quite big and had dark blue icy scales on its body.

Its thickness was at least forty centimeters, and its length was seven to eight meters long. It was swimming in the pond while raising its head, so Aren instantly saw it when he peeked there.

'Its level is lower than that bear, but it's more powerful than the bear. I guess it's related to their grades.' Aren thought as he looked at the creature's information.

Aren didn't know what those grades were based off, but according to his guess, It should be related to their bloodline and their innate powers.

These creatures might also experience fortuitous encounters, making them stronger. The prime example is this mountain. All of these creatures' ancestors received a powerful boost and mutated because of the Legendary Frost Devil that died here.

Looking at the dangerous attack power of this creature, Aren really didn't want to mess with it.

'If even one of its attacks hit me, I am dead,' Aren thought with a frown as he went back as he didn't want to continue looking at the snake lest he attracts its attention by mistake.

'Its defense is not much, but I can't kill it in one shot even if I attack it by layering multiple powers on one attack, just like how I killed the bear. Hmmm...'

After thinking for a few moments, Aren decided to leave the cave and search for a Hare in other places.

He didn't want to take unnecessary risks here since there were be sure Hares in other places on this mountain.

He continued using the <Chemo Mask> skill every five minutes and spent twenty minutes searching the mountain while being cautious before he finally found a pair of Hares.

'Phew...finally,' Aren thought as he hurridly released a seed of <Demonic Grasp> and trapped the Hare.

He was feeling unknown pressure since ten minutes ago and just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. So he hurriedly collected the crystal feathers of the Hare before controlling his sword and flew up with full speed.

*boom..*

A sonic boom resounded as he broke the sound barrier, but he said fuck it in his mind as he just wanted to leave.

After flying at his full speed and leaving the range of the legendary mountain, he looked back and instantly felt cold sweat trickling down on his back.

'What the fuck...,' Aren thought as he saw that a hazy dark blue fog surrounded the top of the mountain, and he could see an outline of a strange giant creature in that fog.

Two big bright lanterns burning with grey-blue flames were clearly visible to Aren from the outline of that creature...which he guessed were the eyes of the strange creature.

He focused a bit and found its information, but it was most of the ???.

[Nether Reaper Ghost]

-Grade: ???

-Lifeform: Legendary-2

-???

-???

-???

...

'Damn...A legendary being?' Aren was speechless to have encountered such a strange creature, a Ghost no less, on this mountain.

The ghost was hovering on the mountain and wasn't seem to be attacking anyone. It just hovered there.

'I wonder what it is doing there?' Aren wondered but didn't waste time thinking about it since it was none of his business. He just turned his head to the front and continued flying at full speed for two minutes before stopping on a giant tall tree.

He took out the map to look at the location of the 2nd quest before he resumed his flight in a specific direction.
