Chapter 306: Report
"Brat, who is the sponsor behind you?" Liu Qiang knew that he wouldn't get an answer to this question. But he couldn't help but ask to get rid of all those anxiousness deep inside him.
He can't help but keep getting amazed by Zhang Qin Feng's resourcefulness. Looking at the state of the art of this behemoth, Liu Qiang knew that even if he were to save all the money earned until now, he would still be unable to make half of it.
This means… Zhang Qin Feng's abilities were above him in many ways, especially in all of these matters.
Zhang Qin Feng simply smiled at the senior to answer his question. Even if he were telling Liu Qiang the truth, the latter might not be able to accept it. If that case, he might as well just sweep the matter aside and pay attention to what is in his mind right now.
"Shall we talk about business, Uncle Liu?" Zhang Qin Feng asked as he invited the senior, Han-Sung, and a few of his trusted partners to the control bridge.
Once again, this gesture made them had a different view of Zhang Qin Feng.
No matter how influential is a person, the military's discipline and the secret are highly confidential. Even if Zhang Qin Feng were the shipbuilder or honored guest on this ship, simply inviting people into the operation room is an impossible feat.
Unless…
"Don't tell me that this kid isn't just a businessman but their superior as well?" Liu Qiang suspected this at least. It seems that he was overestimating himself too much back in Han Country. As for his business partners, all of them were speechless the moment they stepped on top of this behemoth.
"Uncle Liu, shall we get back to the freight business we're talking about?" Zhang Qin Feng asked the moment everyone was seated inside a comfortable meeting room.
It was a room for approximately ten individuals surrounding a round table. In front of each individual was a paper-thin film capable of displaying and recording each word they said in this meeting. Other than that, the device is also capable of high-speed internet that connects them securely to the worldwide web.
To have such a feature while they're on the sea shows how powerful is their communication system. In a world where information was the most expensive resource, having unrestricted access to all information effortlessly was the key to win the battle.
"You have me captured by all of this. Why bother to ask? Just go ahead and tell me what you're planning for. You already know my answer the moment we got onto your ship anyway." Liu Qiang sourly smiled.
As a businessman, he was prepared to get the bigger slice of cake in this discussion. But all of that was his one-sided thinking.
What Zhang Qin Feng lacked was the manpower to help him make everything happen. With the ability to construct a few of these ships, even the worst businessman would be monopolizing the business with sheer number alone.
The cake that he had in mind was already cut long ago. Zhang Qin Feng was just choosing a few people to give them a slice in exchange for their support and favor.
"Thank you, Uncle Liu." Zhang Qin Feng smiled and tapped on the digital screen before him. In that instant, the one in front of Liu Qiang's went active with a few documents ready to be opened.
The latter simply tapped on the display to see what it was all about and noticed that Zhang Qin Feng had planned to use this freight business.
"Kid, what do you mean by this?" Liu Qiang was stunned for a while. There's only a list of purchases on Zhang Qin Feng's memo and nothing else.
"It's simple. I'll be getting a small percentage from all the trades everyone here will be doing. And you'll be profiting from providing what Marianna needs. Would this be a good offer to all of you?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.
…
…
…
The meeting was concluded a few hours later. They were flabbergasted by Zhang Qin Feng's eccentric decision. Since there's nothing to lose by cooperating with Zhang Qin Feng, they simply agreed to his demand before leaving.
If nothing goes wrong, the first ship for the freight business will begin a month later.
During this one month, Liu Qiang and the others would have to start hiring people to work on the first ship, estimated to be a 300m long cargo ship. As for now, there's no name nor training program is available for them to use, but the module is likely coming in next week.
As for now, Zhang Qin Feng has something else more urgent to do.
After Liu Qiang and the others had left, Jason Deng's memo came into his hand. The latter had ordered that the Marianna Fleet, including the Jiaolong-01, would escort the Joint Fleet when they entered the Marianna Strait until they left their water territory.
All the weapon systems would be on standby during the escorting mission. If they were asked, the soldier could simply answer with "the presidential office receive no memo regarding the Joint Fleet's application to use this waterway passage."
This was a blatant rejection and return of favor towards the Joint Fleet's haughtiness before this. And with Jiaolong-01 accompanying the fleet, Jason Deng felt like he was eating more than just a single leopard gut to have that bravery to go against them.
"This fellow… If one Jiaolong already made him so haughty about it, what happened if I bring nine more? Perhaps he would be eager to control the world more than I do!" Zhang Qin Feng chuckled and spoke loudly. He was not afraid to let the sailors pass by to hear what he was saying.
…
"L-Look at that!" the sailors positioned inside a few vanguards ship screamed. They were shocked by the arrival of Jiaolong-01, a few miles away from their location. What was scarier to them was that a vessel of this size did not appear in their latest radar system.
"Do - Do we attack or keep going?" a few sailors immediately pointed their machine gun towards the Jiaolong-01. Even when they knew that the weapon on their hard could hardly harm that vessel.
"Report to the leading ship, you idiot! Report the damn thing to the carrier!" the captain yelled.
