“Yeah, I am not really someone gallant, nor heroic at all. I only fought for my people, for my family and everything… B ut at some point, I lost my way.” Sighed Sol. “I used to be a shy farm boy, my dream was just to rise a lot of animals in my farm, have a lot of crops, and live peacefully.”
“O h, that’s quite noble. I guess.” I said.
“Ye ah… But the world didn’t wanted us to do that. The monsters being a constant threat was a big thing back then, then my whole family being threated by the nobles when they discovered I was a Hero… They dragged me to the capital after I accepted their proposal in exchange for them helping and protecting my family.” Sa id Sol.
“I see… Must have been pretty hard and unjust back then. I never truly experienced what’s living and being born as a human to be honest, being a monster and all. I just was born and was already running for my life from a common bird.” I sighed. “I had to bite, eat, and run my way through life, leveling up frantically just to stay strong enough to even stand a chance of survival against the insanity of the Grand Forest. You see, I was born right after you destroyed the civilization of the Wyvern Overlord. There were still intelligent monsters, but they formed Tribes and all.. And they were very territorial and hostile. After I was forced to kill an Emperor because my little summon messed up with him, I was thrown into fights after fights… It was stressful to no end, and to be honest, the fights never truly ended actually.”
“I see… So that’s how a monster lives… Even though you were intelligent, fights after fights… I guess we are not so different in such a perspective, I also had to fight so much… That I barely remember the soothing breeze back in the farm, the little animals, the laughter of my little siblings… It is all so distant it feels like recalling a dream, not memories.” Sighed Sol. “I guess my truest desire might be to just go back to those times. But I know that’s impossible.”
“Huh, I can understand that. I also love the family I built. After so many fights I was finally able to get some well-deserved free time to develop with my surroundings and my people. I have tons of kids, you know? I miss all my little babies…” I sighed.
“Oh… I didn’t knew you were a mother.” He said with surprise.
“Haha, I am an ugly monster so its hard to guess.” I sighed.
“Well, sorry for talking so much about myself, I had asked you how you died… But I ended talking all about myself, I know that was rude, so I apologize…” Sol said.
“Ah no, don’t sweat it. I am quite interested about your past to be honest. I feel like I am finally learning more about the Genesis I’ve spent so little time in mostly fighting. I never truly stopped to explore the lore and the people in full detail, the history, the past, everything… And well, I died in a similar way. I got myself involved in things of tremendously big scale; I was a Supreme Goddess.” I said.
“Y-You were a Supreme Goddess?! And you died?!” He asked. “But no Supreme God had died before…!”
“Then I am the first! It was not an easy path towards that title. So don’t talk like it was easy for me or something. Anyways, I was a weak Supreme Goddess, even though I had a lot of cheats and stuff. I ended eating a strong attack, too strong for me to handle. It blew me up from the inside. But I kind of saw through that future, it was inevitable to die in that moment. I knew I would find a way back, so I just transferred all my powers to someone dear to me, who is also another new Supreme Goddess. I hope she’s handling fine; I’ll go back to her soon.” I said.
“I-I see… Just thinking about all of that makes me dizzy, with all due respect… But it seems you sacrificed yourself for others, didn’t you?” He wondered. “It feels like everything was a bit too much for you?”
“It was! It was surprising even when I saw through it with my future seeing abilities. A real pain in the ass, that damn Hel really got me there. But I’ll get back to her as soon as possible.” I said with a smirk.
“As soon as possible? Is there a way to go back to Genesis?” Asked Sol intrigued.
“You don’t know? …Oh, the stew is almost ready…” I said, looking at the boiling stew, it smelled delicious.
“No? What is it?” He wondered.
“Luminous is a God of this world. He might look like a dragon, but he’s actually the last god. He says he’s still young and weak, but he got great potential for the future. He knows a lot about this world by visiting a place named Akashic Records. In there he found out about a place named Cosmic Staircase or something. It is located in the Demon King’s Castle, so I am going to get there to go back to Genesis.” I said.
“T-There’s such a thing?! And a God?!” He asked in shock.
“Yep…” I sighed. “Let me guess, you want to come back to Genesis as well? About your family, right?”
“Yes, I want to know if they’re alright…” He sighed.
“Sigh… I guess I’ll have to tell you the truth about that as well, Sol.” I said.
“The truth?” Asked Sol. I calmly looked at the boiling stew while slowly moving it with a large wooden spoon.
“Yeah, the truth… Let’s go to the main point, I invaded Athetosea and converted it into my Kingdom.” I said with an honest tone of voice.
“Eh?!”
