Chapter 2404  A Surprise to Come Back To

By the time Alex was ready to return to the Trueflame Continent, he had already planned what five of his Creations were going to be, with a few more potential ideas floating around in his head that he needed to decide upon.

The first Creation was, without a doubt, going to be a Sun. He had already planned how he would go to space and absorb the aura from there.

The second Creation was going to be some form of Sword. Alex had more or less decided on this being a Dependent Creation now, as he did not want another sword.

The third Creation was going to be the Nine Yang Divine Tree. He needed to figure out how he was going to bring out the tree's aura. Creating it from scratch would require a lot of time, as Alex would have to understand the aura to recreate it. Extracting the aura directly from the tree would be faster, but that wasn't something he could do on his own. This was where he planned on using Pearl or Whisker for their help.

The fourth Creation was going to be the Void. Whether it would be exactly a Void or an object that contained the Void, Alex wasn't sure just yet. For now, he needed to learn more Space and Time Dao to even begin with.

The fifth and final Creation Alex had made any plans for at the moment was the Blank Canvas Pill.

Alex had known from the start that he needed to make a Creation that would aid him in Alchemy. He had decided on the Sun and Sword due to not seeing any other Creations that would be particularly helpful to him. But now that he had more options to consider, he settled on the pill.

It was also the most exotic pill left behind by the first Alchemy God, so making a Creation out of it felt right for Alex. How he was going to turn a pill into aura, though, was something he still needed to think about. He had learned of artifacts that could convert materials into aura, so perhaps he needed to obtain one of those when he had the chance.

For his sixth Creation, Alex now wanted flames. An alchemist without a special flame was indeed quite strange. Almost everyone else had one, so it was time he did too. Phoenix Fire was no alchemy flame, but it was the best flame currently available.

The only issue was that it would be difficult for him to wait 800 years before going to meet Scarlet. Spending 800 years without advancing beyond the Immortal Transcendent 1st Realm was not something he liked to imagine for his future.

Would he perhaps have to find other ways to obtain Phoenix Fire?

Alex didn't know what he wanted for the final two Creations. He considered making some sort of pen for formations and scripting, or a strong hammer for crafting artifacts—all of which he wanted to explore at some point.

There were also options such as a strong puppet for him to control or some kind of metal armor for him to wear. Something defensive would certainly be a great idea, but he would need to give it more thought.

If nothing else, he could create something to help Memory become a much better cauldron.

Whatever he chose, he would have to decide after the tournament was over, when he was freer than he was now.

Alex arrived back at the court. Having been gone for a couple of years, it felt good to return. A sense tugged at him as soon as he entered, and a smile formed on his face.

He followed the tug through the large hall, out the back of the gigantic structure, down the stairs that led to the base of the mountain, and right to a house at the foot of one of the other peaks.

Alex pushed open the door and saw Pearl sitting inside. He could sense from the emotions Pearl sent through their bond that he had broken through, but being in front of him and feeling his aura made it real.

"Congratulations, Pearl. This is a nice surprise to come back to," Alex said, a wide smile spreading across his face. He turned his palm upward, and Whisker appeared upon it. Whisker looked around, momentarily confused at being summoned without warning.

"Are we in trouble?" Whisker asked, scanning the calm surroundings.

"Pearl broke through," Alex told him. "He's now in the Immortal Origin Realm."

"Woah!" Whisker exclaimed, turning to look at Pearl. "Really? Congratulations!" He jumped onto Pearl's shoulders, cheering enthusiastically.

Alex joined in on the cheering, congratulating Pearl. Pearl grinned, happy that he had finally achieved this milestone. Unlike Alex, he had been much slower in cultivating this time. This was partly because Alex had access to high-quality pills from Silvermist, while he only used the ones Alex could make for him beforehand. Pearl had also used his blood essence during a duel long ago, which had ruined his cultivation speed for a while.

Pearl had worried that the gap between him and Alex would continue to widen, but thankfully, it wasn't as vast as he had feared.

"Brother, can you cultivate your physique more?" Whisker asked. "I want to break through more times too. At this rate, it might take me forever."

"I'm sorry, Whisker, but I'm doing what I can for now," Alex said. He could understand that Whisker felt left out between the three of them. His cultivation speed was so slow in comparison that it was a surprise he had reached the Immortal Realm as quickly as he did.

This disparity had always bothered Alex, but the weight of it hit harder now. Unfortunately, he couldn't afford to spend most of his time cultivating his physique. Between the two of them, his own cultivation was undeniably more important.

However, just then, Alex thought of something that he hadn't considered before.

"Maybe…" Alex said slowly. "Maybe there is something that can be done."
