Chapter 32: Nagoya-Osaka Operation - King of Destruction (5)

Shuu

Godzilla opens its mouth, and a purple beam sweeps across the mountains in front of it, causing the ridges of the mountains to shatter.

It fires upon the human forces, not only targeting the weaponry but also bombarding some innocent mountain ranges.

Moreover, Godzilla exerts even more power in its breath towards these mountains.

As for why it does so.

It is because behind those mountains lies the true core of the human operation this time.

Through human radar, Godzilla can see behind the ridges, the human mobile command bases located in the foothills.

These command bases are essentially giant, small-scale mobile fortresses.

They are parked in the deepest valleys between the mountains, nestled among the thickest ridges, clearly distinguishable from the disposable unmanned vehicles they brought out.

Destroying them is the key to inflicting a real blow to humanity. Just destroying the disposable cannon fodder is pointless.

Sizzle-!!!

Emerging from Godzillas mouth, the purple beams continuously strike the ridges or foothills where the human bases or combat vehicles are deployed.

Each time it hits a ridge, the struck ridge explodes directly, spewing forth countless high-temperature lava and giving rise to a new sun.

Tens of thousands of tons, even more massive lava rains down from the sky, while Godzilla continues to spew in the midst of this lava shower.

Sweeping across a sharp mountain peak, the concentrated plasma beam directly cleaves the tall mountain in half, along with the unmanned combat vehicles behind it.

The hundreds of meters tall mountain is severed in the middle, experiencing a massive explosion that launches the entire mountaintop and the vehicles thousands of kilometers away, forming an immensely large meteorite crater upon impact.

The lava rain and rock vapors dye the sky red, and the swarm of drones attempting to drop heavy bombs at close range is shredded by the flying molten debris.

Numerous drones are shot down in the air, crashing into the ground and exploding. They fall alongside the lava rain, resembling the most massive meteor shower in history, descending with flames.

Sizzle

The breath continues.

Eight kilometers away, fifty heavy tanks equipped with medium electromagnetic cannons fire upon Godzilla from the mountain ridges. A single breath melts both the ridge and the tanks, propelling the wreckage hundreds of meters high into the sky.

Thirty kilometers away, personnel in seven mobile base vehicles control remotely operated artillery, firing scatter grenades to bombard Godzillas back from a long distance.

Then comes a continuous breath, melting the entire mountain range and directly hitting the base vehicles.

The scorching plasma instantly sublimates the entire vehicle within a fraction of a second, turning the mountainside into glass while unleashing a sun-like fireball.

Boom

The terrifying shockwave spreads outward, but before it has a chance to expand far.

Seven more breaths are fired from Godzillas mouth, destroying seven mountain peaks and the human weapons behind them, giving rise to seven identical suns.

Mountain peaks of four to five hundred meters in height and nearly a kilometer in width are pierced in an instant. Explosions occur behind them, propelling the surrounding burning forests higher into the sky with the shockwave.

The previously azure sky is now dyed a fiery red by the flames of the breath, resembling a sunsets fiery clouds visible hundreds of kilometers away.

Equally visible are the suns created by the dozen or so breaths.

Twenty kilometers away, the tanks continue to launch rocket projectiles to bombard Godzilla, only to receive an even more formidable breath in return.

A kilometer-long mountain range is severed in the middle, as a single breath slices it into two, obliterating the unmanned combat vehicles behind it.

The plasma disperses upon impact, and Godzilla once again creates a wall of fire, coloring the sky crimson.

The surrounding atmosphere has been heated to nearly a hundred degrees Celsius, and the surface of the lake where Godzilla once swam has begun to boil.

In the distance, the forest ignites into charcoal under the intense heat, and some unexploded bombs in the wreckage of unmanned drones explode again after being impacted.

The sounds of rumbling, explosions, collapsing mountain peaks, and the impact of molten lava falling from the sky.

And countless shockwaves spreading outward, surpassing the speed of sound.

Dozens, hundreds of mountain ridges pierced, severed, and melted by Godzillas breath, and then a high-temperature fireball rises from the impact point, glassifying the surface of the rupture.

The sky is now blood red, with masses of melting rocks falling from the sky, resembling a volcanic eruption or a doomsday meteor shower.

Each strike takes away numerous lives.

Each strike takes away countless war machines.

Destroying the earth, turning the sky into crimson.

This is Godzilla, the King of Destruction.

Today, at this moment, the entire Far East can witness the havoc caused by the King of Destruction.

Ten, twenty, or even thirty suns rise over the island nation in the Far East.

After Godzilla destroys all its enemies in front of it by decimating the mountain ranges, the sun sets, replaced by dozens of enormous mushroom clouds, towering over ten kilometers, shrouding the entire sky.

Within the envelopment of these mushroom clouds, Godzilla strides forward after annihilating everything in its path.

It looks at the devastated land and lets out a roar to the sky.

Roaaarrrr!!!

The sound echoes between the mountains, revealing the raw power of Godzilla.

Truly the King of Destruction.

In the Osaka Far East Command Headquarters, several military officers from around the world watched Godzilla standing among the remnants of the mountains, and a sense of absurdity filled their hearts.

Is it fear? No.

Is it despair? None.

Could it be awe? Perhaps thats closer to it.

If one were to carefully consider, this emotion could be called reverence, right?

Wanting to join hands and kneel before it

Such a ridiculous thought.

The officers present couldnt help but feel ashamed of their absurd thoughts. What they should lament now is the loss of their compatriots in the recent battle, not worshiping such a beast!

It is not merely a simple beast.

As the Commander-in-Chief, Hirozo Sato seemed to grasp the thoughts of everyone here.

Sato glanced at the expressions of everyone around him, then continued with a joking tone, Gentlemen, you need not feel ashamed of your thoughts. It is human nature to fold their hands together and kneel down in prayer in the face of the great forces of nature, love, and compassion. All regions of the world are the same.

Although Godzilla lacks love and compassion, it is indeed a great force of nature. It is natural for people to feel awe and worship in the face of it.

However, it is ironic that we, as natures offspring, are now engaged in a battle against the highest masterpiece of natures power.

Now that we have expressed our admiration, let us calm our emotions. Godzilla has also exhausted its energy.

Everyone, what comes next is the most crucial step, and it determines the true success or failure of our operation against Godzilla!

The Nagoya-Osaka Operation is now officially underway!
