Chapter 126: Chapter 126 – Another New Game, Midnight Heist!

Chapter 126: Chapter 126 – Another New Game, Midnight Heist!

In just a few hours after Max uploaded the announcement, many videos with #BreezeContest and #EditorBreeze began to pop up on Punchtube. Some already had a hundred thousand views, while some only had hundreds.

"That's a lot," Max commented as he scrolled down the videos. His lips curled up into a smile. "I will get good content in 3 days. I should not watch them so my reaction will be genuine. For now… Let's find a multiplayer game I can play."

The first thing that came to mind was Bikes Are Girls, a racing game where the player becomes a bike girl and races the others. Contrary to its name, the bike here referred only to the name of the character's skill, not an actual bike.

'But the player will become a female character. This game's target market is… well, people who don't mind about that or like it. It sounds fun, but some men don't want to use female characters. While that's not a problem for me, maybe I should not play it alone. I will wait for Nina to play this game first.'

If possible, he wanted to find a game that he could play with his viewers. He had already prepared himself for a stream sniper and had enough confidence to win against them.

He wanted something that he could enjoy and show his specialty this time, which meant something involving movement and not just pure action like Knight's Journey or V-Shelter Survival.

Because he was already an affiliated streamer of Biozone Entertainment, he tried to find a game they released. There was no prohibition of him playing games released by another company, but it was just something he wanted to do.

And because they had over a hundred games under their name, he could easily find what suited him.

Midnight Heist. That was the game's name.

"Hoo?" Max got interested in the name and looked at its video introduction.

Upbeat music played as the camera spanned from above the sky, showing a city view filled with various neon lights. The POV closed in on a certain dance club, which was the source of the upbeat music.

Inside the basement of said building, a group of four people were talking in a hushed manner. All of them were wearing fancy clothes. Their faces were covered in shadow, making their gender obscure.

(Let's do it tonight.)

(Our target is 1 KM away. The time of the heist is…)

(Midnight.)

The scene suddenly changed into a police chase. The four people were wearing masks made from cardboard, a ski mask, a ghost mask, and one even wore a stocking to deform his head.

They were running on the roof, jumping with inhuman agility. One person's shoes glowed brightly, and he suddenly ran faster than the others. The others' shoes began to glow too, and they caught up to the first person.

A police officer followed them from behind. He held a large pistol that shot a beam. The ghost-masked person was hit, and his movement slowed down for a few seconds, allowing the police to catch up to him.

He took out a glowing rope and threw it, but it missed. The masked person suddenly disappeared after his mask glowed, and he appeared a few meters ahead.

The upbeat music turned into a cheerful one, and the video showed four people celebrating their victory while surrounding a bag filled with jewelry and gold. The game's title, 'Midnight Heist,' was put on the screen in an obvious manner, with colorful neon lights running on the edge.

After watching the preview, Max had already decided this would be the next game he played. It was a perfect one for him.

"The matchmaking will have 8 people in each room, 4 as the thieves and 4 as the police." He read the description out loud while lying on his bed.

"The thieves' goal is to steal jewelry or an important item and run away without getting caught. And the police's goal is to stop them. It's so simple yet interesting."

There was also the fact the thieves could use an ability originating from what they wore, such as the shoes and masks. It wasn't just a normal taking and running game.

'I can also make use of my specialty here. The maps are designed with a lot of obstacles. I bet they serve to slow the thieves down and to hinder the police's gun, but this place is actually perfect for parkour use.'

After watching another preview video, Max bought the game without hesitation. He would be able to play with his viewers in this game if they were lucky.

The price was only $100, as it was a large multiplayer game with a small map. It was designed to get money from the in-game costumes the players bought and not really the game itself.

Looking at the time, Max realized that it was already 7 PM. He was already an hour late, but that didn't matter because he had announced it yesterday.

However, as he already got the new game he wanted to play, he might as well start this livestream. The download only took a few minutes, and he entered Midnight Heist's loading screen right after.

Because it was an online game where he could match with other people, he appeared in the Lobby instead of straight up inside the game.

His character had used his real face, and his clothes had changed into simple black pants and a black shirt with white sneakers. It was the Midnight Heist's starting equipment.

The Lobby looked like a midnight city, filled with colorful lights and fun buildings, such as dancing clubs and bars.

Max gulped when he looked at them.

'No, I won't drink any alcohol again, not even in VR. That damn bastard Flexy gave me trauma.' He thought as he dismissed his plan to get some beers or wine.

To combat that urge, he decided to just start streaming. He set the title to announce his new game and started it.

[Livestream Starts!]

The loading screen played clips of him soloing Turret while waiting for the viewers to come. While that happened, Max moved to find a perfect place to be shown in a stream, preferably something fancy.

While doing that, he didn't look at the chat that exploded after they saw Biozone Entertainment's logo beside his channel's name.

— Midnight Heist? Breeze is doing something bad!

— Holy moly guacamole! This dude has become Biozone's affiliated streamer!

— I just checked the website! He's on the list number 25!

— So that's why he needs an editor. He's officially a great streamer!

— This is big news! Why didn't he say anything about this?!

[FreakingNoob has donated 5,000 diamonds!]

[Congratulations on your contract! Can you tell us more about it? We are curious!]

[BloodSucker has donated 1,000 diamonds!]

[Motherlicker! How can you keep this a secret? Tell us! Will this affect your contest?! This noble me joined, and it won't be funny if you]

Only when Max reached a nice bar and sat on the chair to read the chat did he realize that he hadn't told his viewers yet. He thought that the verification icon would take time to appear.

'It seems that I still underestimate how fast anything gets processed in this world.' He thought. 'Well, I will just tell them before playing the tutorial.'

Having thought that, he changed the stream screen into a 3rd PoV camera and greeted the viewers.

"Hello, guys! Hahaha, I have big news today! I have signed with Biozone Entertainment. Suppose you ask me how then the answer is clear. It's because I am a humble streamer who has 2 world records."

The chat immediately mocked and congratulated him simultaneously right after he said that.
