Chapter 1222: Sangsang, You’re Spoiling My Brother

Jiang Yuning nodded and said, “You’re right, Father.”

Looking at his innocent face, Nian Qingyun wanted to vomit blood. “I’ve told you not to call me father.”

“Sure, Uncle Nian.” Jiang Yuning nodded again.

The mild-mannered and obedient Jiang Yuning even gave Grandma Nian heartburn. She turned and scolded her son, “Qingyun, be nice to my future grandson-in-law. Look at him. He is so polite. He is tender and honest, but that doesn’t mean you can bully him. You are taking advantage of your seniority.”

“...Look who’s talking,” Nian Qingyun muttered under his breath.

“Who are you talking about?” said Grandma Nian, looking daggers at him.

“No one. Mom, try this. It’s delicious.” Nian Qingyun offered his mom some prawns.

...

On the other side of the room, Nian Junting was dragged into the hallway after making a toast celebrating his son’s 100 days.

“What? he said coolly. “Make it quick. I’m busy.”

“Look at your petty face.” Luosang held his arm, shaking him. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know Jiang Yuning’s age. I thought he was younger than you. It that such a big deal?”

“It’s because he looks so much younger than I do, right?” said Nian Junting sourly. “You all think that way. I don’t care what other people think. After all, I am a generous person. But you... Luo, I am disappointed in you.”

“Junting. You misunderstood. Jiang Yuning does look like a twenty-year-old boy, but he’s also very immature. To be honest, I don’t like the boys who look like him. They’re not as tall and strong as you, and they don’t have the manly vibe you have. Normally, men in their thirties are at the peak of their maturity and charm,” said Luosang with a poker face. “You are a perfect guy. As for Jiang Yuning, he still needs to be sharpened by time. Only when he grows into a mature man like you can he be considered as a real man.”

“I get it. I get it.” Nian Junting curved his lips in a smile, “You think he’s too immature, right?”

“I do.” Luosang lied. “But Junting, this is only between you and me. Don’t say anything like that in front of him. He’s Nian Xi’s boyfriend after all.”

“I understand.” Nian Junting playfully put a lock of her hair behind her ear and said happily and sheepishly, “I wouldn’t have been angry if you’d told me this earlier.”

“Well, how could I have? You stormed off in a huff. ” Luosang pouted, “I couldn’t even stop you.”

“Yeah...I lost my cool. Nian Junting took her in his arms, lowered his head and kissed her.

There were some other people in the hallway, so Luosang felt a little embarrassed. She pushed him back inside the banquet hall and said enthusiastically, “Let’s eat! I’m starving.”

Back at the table, Nian Xi was still holding Apple while Jiang Yuning deftly picked conch meat for her. The prawns were served, so he promptly started to focus on removing the shells for her. He even removed some fish bones, too.

Observing him, Luosang sighed. Nian Junting did that for her too, but he wasn’t as careful as Jiang Yuning was.

“Xi, I’ll take Apple now. Thanks for watching him..” Luosang took the cooing baby into her arms.

“Did you make peace?” asked Nian Xi with a conspiratorial wink.

“Yep, I did.” Luosang nodded.

Nian Xi glanced at her brother who had a big grin on his face. She clicked her tongue and said, “Sangsang, you’re spoiling my brother.”

“Isn’t this nice?” Luosang chuckled. “No other woman can stand him now.”

Nian Xi paused briefly with surprise. That made sense.

“Oh, what is this?” Nian Junting found his son wearing a tiny watch.
