Chapter 12: Ravenwood Magic Academy [2]
Chapter 12: Ravenwood Magic Academy [2]
The light from the massive windows beamed at Noah and Maya almost blinding them.
Noah lifted up his hand to shield his eyes and when he finally adapted to the light in the room, the noise finally got to him.
Different students were busy talking or even demonstrating their abilities.
"See that, that's how you form a perfect wind sphere," one student, of the male gender to be precise said as the wind sphere he had made rotated and then dissapearing as he clenched his hands smiling.
"Hehe.."
"Holy...you have to teach me that some time," another stated his eyes twinkling.
"What's your name again?..."
On another corner of the room a group of students were around a guy who was floating upside down.
"Hey, put me down..."
The suspended guy cried out.
"Relax...it's not that deep," another guy whose hands were glowing blue said.
He was the one using his ability of telekenisis.
"Hey dipshit, put my brother down...if he stays upside down for too long blood will rush to his brains..."
A girl said, she had the same hair and eye color as the guy upside down concluding that they were siblings.
"Then aren't I helping him, he probably needs it..."
The guy using his ability was disrupted by the girl who had materialized a blade made of fire.
"I won't say it again..."
"Okay, okay...people can't jokes sheesh..."
The guy with the telekenisis muttered as he withdrew it walking away with the group.
"Wow...that looked hella cool," a female in the group said hugging his arm.
"It's the first day and people are already close...and showing off at that,"
Noah muttered to himself.
"I wouldn't recommend it...showcasing abilities this early.
They're forgetting they just met and don't know each other that well."
Noah concluded his thoughts as he was momentarily cut off by Maya.
"Ummm...should we look for seats somewhere?"
"Sure, we got nothing to do, might as well professor Sharon gets here," Noah responded.
Just as Noah said that, the door swang open and professor Sharon stepped in.
"Okay, I think we are a big number now..."
She began.
"Everyone take a seat."
There was commotion with soft murmurs that could still be heard...
"Hey I was sitted there earlier..."
"So what, I don't see your name on it..."
"You don't even know my name..."
"Whatever, I'm not switching seats, so move on kid..."
"..."
"Yoo bro...can I sit next to her?...I'll send some coins your way..."
"Hey, quiet down..."
"Shshsh!!!..."
But the commotion soon came to an end.
"Okay, we'll start now," professor Sharon stated.
"You can ask your questions once I'm done..."
"Now the place that you're currently in is called the Welcoming Hall.
It is where new individuals get to lounge and sit awaiting their matters to get addressed...this is also where meetings with other schools or organizations affiliated with the Academy take place.
"Now if you look to your write you'll see the school cafeteria, teachers and students take their meals in there.
Moving on to the left moving forward up to the building connecting the cafeteria, forming what looks like a box is called the Tuition Cube, classes and lectures take place there."
Professor Sharon paused as if waiting for the information to sink in.
The students looked out the windows in different directions and alternating.
"Wait where's the cafeteria again?.."
"To your right dummy...YOUR OTHER RIGHT!"
"Ohhh...looks nice.."
"..."
Professor Sharon cut the chatter and continued.
"After that is the school field and following is the Academy's Town Centre...
Contains shops, and other market related activities where you can buy your stuff...foodstuffs as well if the cafeteria's cuisines don't fit your taste."
'Explains why the Academy covers an area that it's even considered a town or city all on it's own,' Noah thought.
"And now lastly, the Dormitories...located after the Town Centre...right boys, left girls..."
"Still not keeping me out of the girl's dorms...hehe."
Noah had a guy whisper to someone else.
"There are other buildings and as you stay in the academy, you'll get to be familiar with them."
"One more information before I take the questions. Each and every one of you will recieve devices known as the Student watches, each comes with a holographic screen similar to the status windows everyone has...It contains your information as students of Ravenwood, your ID number, full names, dorm room...and most importantly Raven coins."
'The coins that are only valid in Ravenwood Academy...'
Noah thought.
"Now before you ask, Raven coins is the currency the school uses and can only be used in here, they can purchase anything within this walls and each student is granted a specific amount monthly...other additional income will be received according to the conduct and contributions of the students."
"The opposite is true as well...receive bad conduct, you don't get the coins the following month."
'Called it...'Noah mumbled.
"Now, are there any questions?"
Professor Sharon asked.
Everyone looked around at each other but noone seemed to lift their hands.
But then a guy lifted his hand. His body shape alone already predicted what type of question he would ask.
"Uhh...excuse me Professor Sharon, but when you said cuisines, does the cafeteria have all kinds?"
The guy asked scratching his head while smiling.
The boy next to him, covered half his face as he looked out the window and then saying, "Your embarassing me...can someone switch seats with, please?!"
Some of the students near laughed a bit then getting cut by Professor Sharon.
"I haven't had all of them, but you can't miss a single dish native to not only this continent but the others as well," Professor Sharon replied as the boy sat down.
"Thank You..."
Noah on the other hand was looking around trying to look for a specific someone but soon realised.
"He won't be here until Act I is done."
Noah mumbled as a character with black hair, red eyes and a wide smile took form in his head.
Just then a figure shot up her arm as she stood up.
"Thank you Professor Albright for the important information, I'll be asking a question that everyone should as well..."
"When do the classes begin?"
Everyone's eyes shifted to the girl with blue eyes, blue hair and a beautiful body shape.
Wearing only the white shirt, red tie and a black skirt, Noah knew exactly who the girl was.
"One of the main characters...and most of all, the key player in Act I..."
