I Killed The Main Characters

Chapter 3: Let's See If You Can Do Better

Chapter 3: Let's See If You Can Do Better

A young maid probably in her early twenties had been hurrying to a specific room carrying what seemed to be a laundry basket.

She had striking features, black shoulder length hair, brown bright eyes that sparkled with every exposure to light.

She wore the average black and white maid attire that complimented her features and hugged her wide hips.

She held the basket tightly and took a breath before going into the room.

"Okay Alice...you've done this countless times...you got this."

Alice who was the maid said to herself as she twisted the door knob gently.

The room was spacious, neither too big nor too small, and it exuded a noble charm without being overly rich.

It had a bed with a red cover and white sheets.

A desk sat in one corner, adorned with books and a pen.

There was a balcony with a small table and two chairs.

The balcony featured small plant pots with beautiful roses and other colorful flowers.

A vine wound around the circular balcony, which overlooked a town or city in the distance.

The room also had a large window with red curtains.

Alice proceeded to open the curtains as the room was bathed in golden sun rays, brightening everything in its path.

"Hmm...the young master must be in the bath, I'll wait here..."

She knew this because she could hear the shower just the next room.

In the bathroom small water streams made their way to the drainage on the ceramic floor as a figure stood in the shower.

The water wetting his hair made it silky and even covered his eyes.

He had a lean average build for a teenager.

The boy moved his hands to push back his black silky hair, revealing his yellow eyes.

His eyes were golden, and black eye lashes that were considered long for someone of the male gender.

Overall he had striking eyes that were more feminine that masculine.

He was lost in thought, almost as if he had been in the shower for more than an hour simply just thinking about something.

"I didn't want to believe it at first but this is real..."

He said folding his hand in and out continuously.

"I tried sleeping and waking up, taking continuous naps for the last 3 days...but each time it dawned on me more heavier than the last."

"Beyond Horizons..."

"An RPG game that launched nearly 5 years ago. It was an open world type game with many different quests to take on and different stories to explore."

"But as the game progressed it began to bend, its story developing more around a certain academy..."

"People didn't complain, it was rare to find games based on Academies after all..."

"Ravenwood Magic Academy, the best of the best...

That was where the main story and plot revolved around."

It was situated on the Western Continent, In a city going by the name Elderwood..."

*sigh...

"Looking through the window, I'm certain the city in the distance with peering buildings is definitely Elderwood."

The boy said then proceeded to put a hand on his chin.

"It's obvious I am no longer in my original body..."

"Was it the game's head developer's doing?"

He pondered.

"Getting transmigrated into a game isn't a new concept, something I've read about in Webnovels and webcomics alike...

But to think it would happen to me..."

"It was that message..."

He continued his thoughts.

[Very well, let's see if you can do better...]

The message he saw on his phone's screen before a flashing light blinded him.

Somehow he ended up in a bed that wasn't his or familiar with.

"Tsk...who knew a bad review could get you transmigrated into a game..."

"Though if I think about it, the review was a bit harsh...my thoughts still stand, that ending was ass..."

"The story writer must have gotten pissed by it...and put me inside the game."

He proceeded to turn the shower knob off and put on a towel.

He closed the door behind him and step foot into the room where he found a maid standing with a pile of clothes on her hand.

The maid looked up and smiled warmly greeting him.

"Good morning young master Ashbourne."

"Oh...Alice, how are you?"

"I'm doing well, thank you for asking..." Alice replied.

'Alice, the loyal maid to the family of Ashbourne...'

'For the last 3 days, she has been in my care more times than I can count. From asking questions and getting things around the family,' the boy thought.

'I would only ask things concerning the Ashbourne family, since I already know the outside world in and out...there was no need.'

'This family is the only thing I am completely new and unfamiliar with...'

"Will I be dressing you today?"

Alice asked.

"No, I'll be dressing myself from now on..."

The boy stated.

To him he found it weird being dressed depsite being sixteen.

But to Alice it was weird, at first she thought nothing of it 3 days ago when he wanted to dress himself.

Even so, she respected it, the young master was growing after all. At that age he was basically considered an adult.

"Okay, I'm sorry for asking again."

"No worries Alice, thank you for bringing the clothes though," the boy said.

"It's nothing young master, dress up, your father and the rest of the family members will meet you downstairs."

With that Alice left, shutting the door behind her.

Putting on his clothes he began talking to himself trying to gather his thoughts.

"Okay, now to break things down..."

"I'm in the game I played for half a decade...western continent, in the city of Elderwood..."

"I've taken over the body of a teenage boy named Noah Ashbourne, from the family of Ashbourne..."

"Hmmm...if I'm being honest, I don't remember such a character in the game..."

"So that means I'm insignificant to the plot and story..."

He paused thinking for a moment as he looked at the desk a few metres from him.

'What's that?...'

Noah moved to the desk and saw a letter with a large red stamp on it. The letter screamed of elegance and nobility.

"Wait, that symbol..."

He proceeded to open the letter and the address confirmed his earlier thoughts.

Noah then began reading the letter aloud.

After reading it finally dawned on Noah.

"First to join?

Official opening of the Academy?"

"Wait...that means I've transmigrated to before everything happened..."

"The beginning peaceful moments of the game when everyone was doing all they could to get in the Academy..."

"When the story was fresh...and most of all...

Before the Main Characters were introduced..."
