“What are you thinking about?” Adam’s voice slowly echoed in her ear.

“Nothing.” Lumma tried to disguise her embarrassment by drinking water, but she couldn’t twist

Adam took the bottle from her hands, naturally helped her open it, and handed it back to her.

“Thank you, Mr. Hills!” Lumma took a few sips of water. Her throat, which had been parched all afternoon, was instantly relieved by the water. “Why haven’t you left yet? It’s getting so late?”

“The house inspection took longer than expected, and then I had to meet with a designer for

renovation ideas, so I’ve been busy until now.” In reality, Adam didn’t need to deal with these

tedious details personally. With his command, there were people who could handle things

beautifully for him. The reason he stayed was because of Lumma.

“I see.” Lumma didn’t know what else to talk about. She looked back and said, “Mr. Hills, my friend

is waiting for me to bring back water, I need to go now.”

“Okay.” Adam didn’t try to keep her. He watched her leave and then went to the property management office to handle the related procedures.

So, when Lumma and her two friends went to the property management office to handle the house receiving procedures, they unsurprisingly ran into Adam.

Harry was the first to notice him, grumbling discontentedly. “Why is that guy still around. We run into him everywhere.”

Lumma gave Harry a light punch. “Harry, watch your words. This isn’t just your territory, and

others are allowed to be here too. He also bought a house her. We might run into him more in the

future.”

Harry replied, “A big shot who lives in a hundred-million-dollar mansion suddenly buying this kind of house, so tell me he doesn’t have a hidden agenda.’

Lumma countered. “Is it that men are always envious of men who are more handsome and richer

than themselves?”

“I was just joking, so why so serious?” Ruby checked her makeup in her phone, confirming it was still perfect, then sauntered over to Adam. “Mr. Hills, what a coincidence, we meet again.”

When a woman approached him, Adam’s first reaction was disgust. He didn’t even bother to look up at first, wanting to dismiss her.

Luckily, he looked up in time to see it was Lumma’s friend, and he politely greeted Ruby, “Hello!”

Ruby responded with a smile, “Mr. Hills, are you receiving a house too? We’ve been so busy we haven’t had dinner yet, would you like to join us later?”
