Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 245

Seeing Lumma’s attitude was resolute, Ruby had to give in. “Okay, then, I need you to accompany me. I want to buy two sets of expensive clothes to wear back home for Christmas. This year, I must surpass that snobbish Estella Baldwin.”

Lumma smiled, “Oh, you still remember that thing?”

“It’s only been less than a year since it happened. How could I forget? She married a nouveau riche husband. When we had a class reunion, she carried a bag worth a few hundred dollars and boasted about it over ten times. She said her husband owned several shops in our city and had millions of savings. I don’t care about her boasting, but she even insulted us intentionally. She knew why you didn’t return to Soothy City and still asked if you didn’t make money or couldn’t find a boyfriend, so you didn’t come back to Soothy City for Christmas. Every time I think of it, I’m so angry.” Ruby got angrier as she spoke and decided, “Worm, let’s go to the high-end shopping mall.”

“Why bother with that kind of person? We just need to live our own comfortable lives.” Lumma wanted to persuade Ruby, but once Ruby made up her mind, she couldn’t be stopped.

Lumma had no choice but to drive Ruby to a famous luxury shopping mall in Red Pine City brands for some

Due to her job, Lumma would prepare some clothes and bags of clients during holidays. Therefore, she had dealt with the people in charge of these famous brands often, so she naturally had a comprehensive understanding of these brands.

Some people bought these branded clothes just for their labels and design. Some of these clothes. couldn’t even be washed. They weren’t suitable for ordinary workers but for rich people.

Lumma still wanted to persuade Ruby. “Ruby, you can buy a big brand bag, but let’s skip the clothes, okay?”

Ruby was determined today, “I’m buying both branded bags and clothes. If I don’t go back and show off, those snobbish people will think that the three of us really don’t have a good life outside and look down on us.”

Since they wanted to buy expensive ones, the first shop they went to was Celestial, which had several classic bags that were versatile and looked good when carried. However, the customer usually had to queue to buy a bag and even needed to wait for two to three months.

It was late now, but customers were lining up at the entrance of Celestial, waiting for staff to let them in.

Lumma and Ruby were at the end of the line. When they entered the store, the salesperson impolitely looked them up and down. “Did you make an appointment?”

Before they could answer, the salesperson continued, “If you don’t have an appointment, you can take a look. Let me know if you find something you like.”

Ruby and Lumma looked around and found a small bag they liked. “Can you let me see this bag?”

The salesperson glanced at Ruby impatiently. “We don’t have it in stock.”

Ruby said, “The bag is right there. How can you say it’s out of stock?”

The salesperson replied, “We only have a display model. If you’re sure you want to buy it, I can take it out for you.”

Ruby retorted, “I haven’t even looked carefully at it yet. How can I be sure?”

“If you can’t afford it, don’t bother coming here. You should already know about our brand before you come to our store. Our bags are costly and not affordable for ordinary people.” The salesperson’s tone was sharp and sarcastic, which completely shattered Lumma’s understanding of salespeople service attitude.
