Chapter 696 - Blasting Spatial rune equipment

Chapter 696: Blasting Spatial rune equipment

Of course, none of them knew that the sand had to be first contained using the special element. They directly loaded the Gold Sand into their spatial equipment and the result was conceivable.

Boom!

A spatial rune equipment blasted and created a spatial rift that opened up to a hundred-meter long.

Herbs and fruits inside the spatial rune equipment dropped out from it, while the A-tier user was killed on the spot by the rift’s ripping force.

The rift came and went rapidly. All that was left were the items in it, as well as ample power credits.

Based on its volume, one cubic meter power credit was equivalent to one hundred thousand power credits, which translated to ten billion in cash.

That person’s spatial equipment contained at least 30 trillion power credits. The explosion blasted the power credits the size of two to three hundred cubic meters high into the air.

The unexpected development caught the eyes of everyone on the island.

It was unusual to see a spatial rune equipment go off like this. The credits burst out from the equipment refracted the light and resulted in glimmers all over the sky above the center peak. Everyone realized that something huge must be going on up there.

Qin Feng was at the shore near the foot of the Divine Mountain. About a hundred meters from them was another group of people. They were five B-tiers from the Huaxia Alliance.

They watched the anomaly excitedly but immediately dropped their heads down.

“There must be treasure up there.”

“I believe those are power credits. Don’t tell me there is a power credit mine inside the mountain!?”

“Who knows? Everything happening here is unreal.”

“Unfortunately, that’s beyond our reach. We are barely staying alive at this perimeter.”

“Be careful, beasts are coming our way. We can no longer fall back. The beast in the ocean is far scarier. Come, over here.”

The party left in a hurry with tails in between their legs.

Truth be told, only A tiers were qualified to join the war in the center region.

Qin Feng looked up toward the explosion site. Someone must have stored the sand directly into his/her spatial equipment. The blast petrified Qin Feng. If not because of Bai Li, he might have faced the same terrible fate. It would be silly to die in such a way in this second life.

The A-tiers loitering around the Divine Mountain had gathered at the center region because of the explosion. Tung Yang was one of them.

Tung Yang met two other A-tier ability users there who Qin Feng knew from before.

They were the group leader of the north and west region at the Dragon Capital Prodigy Tournament, respectively—A3-tier water ability user Nangong Shi and A3-tier ancient warrior Ge Lang.

At the moment, Nangong Shi was still not the regent of the north, while Ge Lang had always been a general.

Since Nangong Shi was a water ability user, he was the first who answered the SOS call when the danger occurred in the east. He used a spatial waymark to first travel to East Sea City, then departed to the Divine Mountain in a deep-sea vessel. Thus, he reached the island only a few hours later than Tung Yang and Qin Feng.

Ge Lang arrived a little later than Nangong Shi. They scattered around the island and had not met each other until now.

In fact, Ge Lang was the first batch that had reached the center peak. He was one of them who wished to kill Kounsat badly.

Besides the giant pit, one of the first six users there was dead. The other five had long split the belongings left behind by the dead A-tier. Tung Yang and Nangong Shi did not ask about the dead man or his possessions. Instead, they both looked at Ge Lang.

“Hi, Ge Lang!” Nangong Shi greeted him.

“General Ge, you are here too!” Tung Yang waved hi to Ge Lang too.

“Hi, there! I didn’t see you earlier. Nangong is here too.” Ge Lang greeted back.

“What happened just now? Such a big commotion,” Nangong Shi asked. Tung Yang listened attentively beside him.

Ge Lang answered gratingly, “Earlier, it was Kounsat, the dark puppeteer from the Western American Alliance that shrouded this area with a dark ability. Not only that but he also had hundreds of beasts surrounding the region. I gathered a party and tried to break through but he ran before we reached him...”

Ge Lang then spoke about the sand inside the pit. He believed that “Kounsat” must have taken away a substantial amount after hogging the place for two full days. Apparently, the dark puppeteer knew how to transfer the sand safely. The five of them became more cautious with the sand now that an A-tier had paid his life for it.

Tung Yang found something odd in Ge Lang’s description.

‘Hundreds of monsters? Dark ability? That sounds a lot like Qin Feng. Have they seen him around here?’

Qin Feng had killed so many monsters that he had single-handedly reduced one-fifth of the beasts on the island.

Meanwhile, A-tier beasts that were untouchable had been detected by the human adventurers and were consciously avoided.

With more and more A-tiers joining the expedition, even the A-tier beasts were being hunted now. So currently, the island was not as dangerous as it was in the beginning.

Tung Yang was busy collecting herbs and got further and further away from Qin Feng. He was unable to keep track of Qin Feng’s whereabouts constantly since the latter could conceal himself with dark ability.

Since the danger level of the island had gone down drastically, there was no reason for Tung Yang to keep following Qin Feng.

Tung Yang immediately suspected Qin Feng after he heard Ge Lang’s story.

‘If Qin Feng really was behind this...’ Tung Yang could not begin to fathom how strong Qin Feng actually was, or how far he would go in the future.

“General, are you sure you the person you saw was Kounsat?”

“I am pretty certain. If not because of the S-tier puppet he controls, I would have long killed him and need not ask for help from the others.”

Though Ge Lang was boasting, the S-tier puppet he mentioned cleared Tung Yang’s doubt.

‘S-tier? Then it’s probably not Qin Feng...’

Tung Yang shook away the idea.

“Whatever it is, he is lucky to get away this time. The more pressing issue we have now is how the hell do we move this thing? I only managed to put in a handful of this sand into my spatial rune equipment. One spatial rune equipment can only hold that much?”

“How much spatial rune equipment do we need then to empty this pit?”

“It irks me more now thinking about that bastard Kounsat.”

Right now, none of the A-tier dared to touch the Glittering Gold Sand recklessly. They were busy studying how to bring the sand home.

This was when Tung Yang switched on the small device Qin Feng gave him before.

“Qin Feng, where are you now?” Tung Yang asked.

Qin Feng received the call and wondered, ‘Has he found out?’

“I am at the east side of the mountain. What’s wrong?”

“I suppose you are aware of the situation here at the center.”

“Yea, I did see it. What happened over there?”

“There’s some good stuff here. You should come join us. But leave your puppets behind. This place was barricaded by a dark ability user earlier, he had hindered others for two days. You may raise suspicion and hostility from others if you carry the puppets along.” Tung Yang paused for a while, then continued, “However, worry not. I have another two A-tiers on my side too. I am confident that A-tiers from other regions won’t harm you under our watch.”
