He extended his hand and said. “Hello, I’m Jarred, a 2015 graduate from The High School of J City.”
Before Celeste could respond, her best friend Trisha chimed in, The High School of J City? Letti, isn’t that your school too? 2015? We graduated the same year!”

Celeste could only force herself to remain calm and continue, “Oh, so we’re schoolmates. Nice to meet you”

Jarred lightly touched his fingertips, smiling slightly.
A nearby assistant whispered something in his ear. He nodded, then turned to Celeste and said, “I'll go say hi to Mr. Campbell. I’ll come find you later”
Celeste quickly said, “No need, you go do your thing”
Jarred didn’t seem to hear. He turned and walked towards the crowd with his assistant
Celeste breathed a sigh of relief, only to see Liam staring at her blankly
Her scalp tingled
Nicolas immediately asked, “Celeste, is Jarred your high school classmate?”
Celeste simply answered, “I guess so.”
“Guess?” Nicolas looked doubtful, Jarred is so handsome. How can you not remember him?”
As soon as Nicolas finished speaking, he felt Liam’s gaze intensify
Celeste said awkwardly, “Who had time to notice handsome guys in high school? I was too busy studying.”
