Celest replied in a hushed tone. “That’s why we split after just two weeks I was afraid it’d mess up my future.”
Liam grudgingly accepted this reasoning, then continued to grill her. ‘Did you go after him, or did he come after you?”
Celeste lowered her voice, “Can we continue this at home?”
