Chapter 443

Owen was surprised, “Mr. Reed, at least wait for the first three days.”

Liam said, “I’ll go back alone, and you’ll stay here to take care of Coco. Once she’s past the critical period, arrange for someone to take over, and you can leave.” He hadn’t been sleeping well these past two nights, always thinking about the situation in J City and feeling a bit uneasy.

He wanted to get back as soon as possible.

In J City.

Upon hearing the doctor’s suggestion for a full body check–up, Trisha got busy. With Mason’s help, the two worked well together, and the check–up went smoothly. Besides the blood test, basically everything that could be done was done.

After Celeste was admitted to the general ward, she didn’t wake up, but her complexion was better than before.

By the time everything was done, it was late at night.

Celeste was a married woman, so it wasn’t appropriate for Mason to stay here. Trisha told him, “Mr. Fletcher, you should go back first. I’ll take care of Letti.”

Mason agreed to leave but reminded her to notify him immediately if anything happened to Celeste.

Trisha stayed by Celeste’s bedside for most of the night and finally fell asleep around 3 am.

Early the next morning, the nurse came to draw blood for the test.

Celeste didn’t wake up until after 9 am.

She turned her head and saw Trisha’s coat on the bedside chair, probably gone to wash up or buy breakfast.

Celeste sat up, hesitated for a moment, and then went to the bathroom.

When she came out, the nurse came to the ward to inform her that the test results were out and there was a problem. She asked her to see the

doctor.

Celeste went to see the doctor.

The doctor was a woman in her fifties, very kind in her speech.

She looked at the report in her hand and asked Celeste, “Are you married?”

Celeste nodded.

“Do you have children?”

Celeste shook her head.

The doctor frowned, remained silent for a while, and then asked, “Have you ever had a severe blow to your abdomen before that injured your

uterus?”

Celeste replied, “I had a car accident a few years ago. The doctor said my uterus was slightly damaged, didn’t prescribe any medicine, and suggested to rest more and have regular check–ups. When I went for a check–up the next year, it was already normal.”

The doctor asked again, “Have you been taking any medication for a long time?”

Celeste shook her head, “No, I have a good physical constitution and rarely get sick.”

Seeing the doctor’s serious expression, Celeste’s voice unconsciously lowered, “Doctor, what’s the problem with me?”

The doctor looked up, with a hint of pity in her eyes. After a while, she said, “I suspect you may have signs of premature ovarian failure.”

Celeste’s face changed, “Premature ovarian failure… what will happen?”

“Premature ovarian failure has many symptoms, including hormonal imbalances and irregular periods. The most severe case may lead to infertility.”

Celeste turned pale, unable to accept the doctor’s words, “But I’ve always had a regular schedule, exercised frequently, and had regular check–ups. How could I have a premature ovarian failure Have you made a mistake?”

“The data won’t be wrong,” the doctor said. “Maybe after your period ends this time, you can come to the hospital for a hormone test and an ultrasound, but I don’t think the results will be much different.”

Celeste became at a loss for what to do, not knowing how to react.
