Chapter 1272 Unexpected Surprise (Part 1)
Above the Central Hall of the Closed World of Drayds, a void rift opened, and Evan and Anastasia emerged from it.
"What is the level of your current understanding of the conceptual energy of void?" Anastasia asked, a look of interest lighting up her face as she glanced at him.
"It's seventy-five percent," Evan replied with a faint smile. "I have a few void crystals in my possession, and they are enough to raise it to one hundred percent."
"That means you just have to increase the rank of your core to the peak of Rank Three, and after using the void crystals to enhance your understanding of void energy, you can immediately create your law seal and break through to Rank Four," Anastasia said, her expression thoughtful. "With the high potential of your core, it shouldn't take you more than three months to reach the peak of Rank Three, right?"
Evan's lips arched upward in a mysterious smile as he shook his head.
"You are wrong this time. From this point onward, my advancement speed will be something that would make everyone's scalps tingle."
"Hmm?" Anastasia looked at him in confusion, her brows furrowing slightly as she tried to understand his meaning. Suddenly, a realization struck her, and her eyes narrowed.
'Is it because of the second Primordial Rune he gained after breaking the soul seal?'
Evan had explained to her before that after breaking the soul seal; he had received the knowledge of many normal runes and two Primordial Runes.
One of the Primordial Runes was the Rune of Sealing, but he hadn't revealed anything about the second one and just said that she would be surprised after learning about it in the future.
'By the way, I can ask him to seal the powers of that Rank Six Water Dragon using his Primordial Rune of Sealing.' Anastasia suddenly thought, recalling the Rank Six Water Dragon she had captured in the Boundless Ocean.
Because she couldn't maintain her full power continuously due to the limited duration of her Soul Resonance skill, she was unable to keep the Rank Six Water Dragon sealed within her Core World indefinitely.
When she initially captured him, she had used her full strength to seal him inside her Core World.
But now, without the Soul Resonance skill, the seal had started weakening. If the dragon broke free and began wreaking havoc within her Core World, it would undoubtedly cause severe damage to her.
'Although it's difficult for him to seal a Rank Six Core Evolver with his current abilities, he should manage it if I completely suppress the Water Dragon in advance,' She thought and decided to ask him once they went back.
"What are you thinking?" Evan's voice broke her train of thought.
"It's nothing," She replied with a slight shake of her head and a small smile. "Remember when I went to the Boundless Ocean?"
Evan raised an eyebrow when he heard Anastasia. He had planned to ask her about her journey after dealing with Carla's matters and returning home.
But since she had brought it up on her own, his curiosity deepened, and he waited silently for her to continue.
"I found something very good in that place, but you will need to increase your rank before you can use it. Once you acquire it, your combat power will increase by leaps and bounds." She said as she thought of the Universal Spring she had discovered.
Additionally, she had come across many rare herbs and plants in the place where the Universal Spring was located, which she intended to give to Octavius to craft potions for Evan and others.
With so many rare resources, she was confident they could train numerous powerful combatants.
On top of that, she had gotten many Dragon Blood Flowers from the hidden dimension where she had killed the Rank Four Vampire.
With so many Dragon Blood Flowers, she was sure that even if Evan didn't do anything, his strength would increase tremendously.
Evan's curiosity was fully piqued when Anastasia mentioned something capable of exponentially enhancing his strength and he looked at her intently, waiting for her to elaborate further.
But to his frustration, Anastasia merely smiled and began descending from the sky.
"If you want to get good things from me, you will have to give me something in return," She teased.
Evan followed her and asked, "What do you want?"
Anastasia shrugged as she landed in front of the Central Hall.
"Think about it yourself."
Evan paused for a moment, then nodded thoughtfully.
"I see," He said, his gaze distant as he pondered.
Anastasia noticed his expression and asked curiously, "Have you thought of something you can exchange for an item that would even make Progenitors jealous?"
Evan nodded, his expression calm but confident as he replied, "Yup, I have something in mind."
Anastasia's eyes lit up with interest.
"What do you have in mind?" She asked eagerly.
Evan, however, didn't answer. Instead, he continued walking deeper into the Central Hall with a relaxed expression on his face.
Anastasia's face twitched in annoyance at his silence, but she suppressed her irritation and followed him quietly.
Soon, they reached the meeting room of the Central Hall. When Evan opened the door, he saw that other than Sylvan and Ashley, Alaric was also there.
The expressions of all three were serious, especially Sylvan, who appeared both nervous and excited.
Gone was his usual sluggish demeanour; he sat upright, entirely silent.
Evan glanced at Ashley, who nodded at him.
'It seems she has already told him everything,' Evan thought as he stepped into the room with Anastasia.
He took a seat opposite Sylvan and looked at him seriously.
"Ashley has already told you about what I am planning to do, right?"
Sylvan nodded, remaining quiet, clearly waiting for Evan to continue.
"Since you already know, I won't beat around the bush," Evan said. "There are two negative effects of this skill, and they can turn a person's life into a living hell."
