Chapter 188 Little Mandron Soldier 11
Chapter 188 Little Mandron Soldier 11
?After ending the call, He Yuan rubbed his chin lightly. It turned out that the research had produced results quicker than he'd initially planned and according to the specialist, it was possible to extract both the magnetic energies of the first and second Xor queens, separate their components and then condense the energy into liquid form.
The only problem here was, the entire process would take a really long time. For example, extracting for a period of three to four months would produce an amount that would just be enough to fill up to half of a 10x75mm test tube. He had no idea if that miniscule amount would be able to have any effect on Ding Weimin.
He Yuan thought for a while more before shrugging the issue off. If the amount wasn't enough then he could just look for a way to supplement it with additional acupuncture. After all, his goal wasn't to seriously harm or kill Ding Weimin.
His goal was just to cause a massive scare and push the Dings into acting against themselves.
Next, He Yuan selected different online shopping malls and got to work buying ingredients for a human skin mask. Since this was his first time in an interstellar era, many ingredients he was originally used to were unavailable but as someone who had completely studied the medicinal ingredients for each kind of realm in existence, he had no problem finding alternatives or close substitutes.
The purpose of the human skin mask was for back up. If he couldn't find a good opportunity to mess with Ding Weimin's body outside the Ding home, he planned to sneak into the Ding home but then... The Dings had one of the best security systems in all of Plexar so he planned to disguise as one of their workers.
The exact person wasn't decided on yet so the making of the skin mask would have to wait until he returned to Earth and extensively scoped out the Ding home.
With his plans for special one number one laid out, He Yuan relaxed and decided to put all his focus on properly merging with his new limb in anticipation for rehabilitation.
To do this, he adjusted his posture to the best possible way he could without pressuring his nicely healing limb and tried to draw qi from the surroundings into his body.
After several minutes... nothing happened.
He tried again but the same thing happened. In fact, this wasn't the first time he was noticing this strange phenomenon. Right from the first day he'd transferred to this realm, he'd tried to draw qi but realized that he actually couldn't.
This realm seemed to not have even the tiniest drop of qi in its atmosphere which was the strangest thing He Yuan had ever encountered since he began his job as a tasker.
He'd previously been of the belief that the fabric of a realm's existence was made up of luck and sewn with threads of pure energy also known as qi. This energy could be so rich that one could practically taste it or so thin that it could feel like an illusion but from his experience, it was always present in a task realm.
The complete lack of qi in this realm weirded him out very much.
888 watched as different shades of confusion permeated He Yuan's features before letting out an exasperated breath and stepping forward from the wall he'd been leaning against. "I have a conjecture."
He Yuan immediately relaxed his posture and turned his attention to his system. "Hm?"
888 titled his head to the side a little bit. "I think this might have something to do with this particular Planetary system."
He Yuan frowned. Thinking about it, that made a lot of sense. The problem might really be the Planetary system. Back when he was on Earth, the only natural light source was the plex and billions of stars. During the day, the plex stood bright and at night, the light of the plex dimmed considerably and was complimented by the many different stars.
In this minor Planet he was currently in, the light of the Plex was a lot dimmer due to the great distance but the Planet had a giant cluster of stars compressed into a ball by gravity that served the same purpose as the plex -although a little less efficiently.
What both the Planets in the Plexar system and the Planets farther from the core of the Plexar system had in common was the absence of a sun as in the Solar system and moons.
This turned out to be a big problem to his absorption of qi because the sun and moon played a major role in cultivation. This was because both light sources not only represented the Yin and Yang balance but also nourished and enhanced the balance constantly.
He Yuan ran a hand over his face and gave up on cultivating for the time being. In the absence of qi, he was certain that there was something else that served as the energy string for this realm but he had no idea what that was.
With nothing else to do, he laid down properly and decided to get a good rest. The effects of the drugs had worn off completely by now and he was feeling a stinging pain from his right knee. Might as well go to sleep.
888 stood still by the bed, lost in thought as He Yuan fell into deep sleep. As soon as he recovered himself, his eyes trailed to Yang Xue's face and he frowned slightly before dematerializing.
Meanwhile...
SMASH!
Yang Zhi angrily slammed his table with a fist. That idiot mandron! Two weeks ago, he'd meticulously laid out his plan to bring General Ding and Yang Xue together. Who knew that the idiot would disappear the very next day?!
What angered him the most was that this was a very crucial period. Due to the current peace, General Ding had applied for a vacation for the first time in forever. One which would last for a total of three months and was scheduled to take effect in about two months. Neitizens speculated that this was to accompany his girlfriend, Lieutenant Jin but all that was irrelevant to Yang Zhi.
He had already gone through hell to obtain several invites to the banquets that the General was scheduled to attend in company of that Jin girl and had planned several 'accidental meetings' between General Ding and Yang Xue.
Everything was going well. Perfectly well but Yang Xue decided to suddenly disappear! After weeks of mobilizing his limited information network, he finally found the wastrel.... In a minor Planet so faraway from the big three!
Full surgery and rehabilitation would take about four to six months. Naturally, he didn't have that much time. The plan was to begin taking Yang Xue to the banquets in a wheelchair immediately after surgery. Rehabilitation could, of course, wait until General Ding's vacation was over.
Seeing Yang Xue look so weak and pitiful would've surely aroused General Ding's protective instincts and repressed feelings would slowly spark to life. From there, the two would no longer be able to stay away from each other but now... How was that going to happen?!
Yang Zhi pulled at the stubble on his chin and groaned in rage. He was staring at his beautiful future but this pig teammate called a son was preventing him from it!
No.
He had to think of a way to transport Yang Xue back! But after contacting the hospital severally, he was prevented access to Yang Xue. The minor planet wasn't Earth or Andron and no one had any idea who Yang Zhi was over there. It wasn't like he was the widely known Ding Weimin.
Right outside the room, Yang Liu, Yang Teng and Yang Xiang eyed each other in confusion. What was going on with their father? After hesitating for a moment, Yang Teng slowly lifted a hand and knocked on the door. "Father?"
Inside the room, Yang Zhi froze before tiredly rubbing a hand over his face. He looked at the mess of papers all over the floor but he really couldn't be bothered to care. "Come in."
The door opened and in came three of his children. Yang Liqin, at this time, had already returned to her college. The eyes of the three widened when they took in the mess.
"What's wrong?" Yang Liu asked hesitantly. The last time she'd seen her father this angry was when the Dings had sent Yang Xue back and informed them that the Yangs would stop receiving benefits from them. Her heart shook.
The Dings couldn't have done something in the army this time... Right?
Yang Teng was also thinking along this direction and his eyes were a little uneasy. He knew better than his sisters how bad things would be if the Ding family began to give them trouble at work.
Yang Zhi's eyes moved between his three grown up children and then he sighed. Why couldn't the mandron be a little more sensible? If the boy had even a tenth of Yang Liu's sensibility then he wouldn't have been kicked out of the Ding home like a fool in the first place!
Yang Xiang was right beside her siblings, looking at her father in concern when her eyes caught sight of the exquisitely calligraphed items on the desk. She froze. "Are those elite banquet invites?"
Yang Zhi looked at her and waved dismissively. "Yes."
Yang Xiang felt excitement course through her veins. Elite invites and there were even so many of them! Just how many of those banquets would Jin Yusheng be invited to? This was her chance! "So," She began casually. "Who do you plan on taking?" A lot of the invitations had specifications for just two people.
Yang Zhi looked at his second daughter once more. How could he not know what she was thinking? He had repeatedly encouraged her pursuit of the number one business guru, Jin Yusheng, but now... He couldn't afford to let her attend. He needed to be there with Yang Xue in order to push the mandron and General Ding in the right direction.
He sighed and waved again. "Let's talk about it later. You may all leave."
As soon as the three left, Yang Zhi looked at the invites on his desk and felt his rage build up once more. He'd spent a fortune and a lot of favours to get these prepared in advance.
That stupid mandron!
