Chapter 119 - 90: Death Match Under the Sea

Chapter 119: Chapter 90: Death Match Under the Sea

Hideo Oogawa was struck by Heavenly Thunder, but it did not slow their descent into the plight of falling. Then a “thud” was heard as both men plunged into the churning sea below.

The mighty Hideo Oogawa, who had been struck by lightning and seemed as lifeless as charred wood, suddenly regained consciousness under the immense impact as he found himself falling into the seawater, and then noticed Yan Fei had also fallen in. With a strong effort of his arms, he immediately shattered the deformed iron rings that had been electrified by the lightning on his body, regaining his freedom.

Yan Fei was also severely injured under the tremendous impact, but he was used to sustaining severe injuries and had an incredibly strong will, so he was still able to control his body. Although Hideo Oogawa had just been struck by lightning and was seriously injured, the impact of the fall from a high altitude had compounded his injuries. He, who had become successful at a young age and had reached the pinnacle of his Kung Fu, had not sustained such serious injuries for a long time, and was less experienced in handling them, which put him in a more critical situation than Yan Fei.

As soon as the two men hit the water, they began sinking toward the deep sea. Hideo Oogawa, brave and fearless even with grave injuries, immediately grabbed Yan Fei and pulled him deeper into the depths. Yan Fei struck back at once, entangling Hideo Oogawa tightly, and they both continued to wrestle each other as they sank toward the seabed.

While Yan Fei and Hideo Oogawa were locked in a life-or-death struggle under the sea, the Drone Avatar was undergoing a concentrated Deepwater Bomb attack by the US Navy guided missile destroyer, leaving it no room to hide. The Drone had no choice but to resurface, stopping less than two meters from the sea surface.

The two remaining F-15 Fighters in the sky breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing their Escort Ship arrive and attack the Drone with Deepwater Bombs below the sea surface. They approached the area, hoping to witness the final fate of the Drone that had put them in such fear. But as they drew near, they saw the Drone suddenly burst through the surface and head straight for them.

The Drone, having observed the fighter planes above the water, broke through the surface and collided directly with one of them. The F-15 Fighter pilot was stunned; he had never faced an attack launched from beneath the sea before, and in an instant, his plane collided with the Drone. The Drone’s wing sliced through the F-15 Fighter’s wing, and a flash of fire was seen as the fighter’s wing was severed, while the Drone’s wing was completely unscathed.

The F-15 Fighter, having lost its wing, plunged straight into the ocean and crashed into the waves. The other fighter plane, seeing the Drone re-emerge and destroy its comrade, was so frightened that it climbed rapidly, keeping its distance. The Drone took this opportunity to fly quickly towards the distance; by the time the other fighter plane reacted and began firing Missiles at the Drone,

the Drone had reached 10 kilometers away from the US Navy guided missile destroyer and had finally run out of Energy Points, immediately going into standby mode and crashing into the sea, slowly sinking to the bottom. The pursuing missile, having lost its target, detonated by itself.

The two US Navy guided missile destroyers, upon seeing the Drone suddenly leave the sea surface and fly away, had not yet reacted when they observed the Drone crash into the sea after destroying a fighter jet. Subsequently, they moved towards the sea area 10 kilometers away.

Yan Fei’s main body was amidst a fierce battle with Hideo Oogawa at the bottom of the sea, already in grave danger, and he had to divide his attention to care for his Drone Avatar. This gave Hideo Oogawa the chance to pin Yan Fei with several brutal hits, nearly knocking him unconscious. Hideo Oogawa indeed had immense strength; despite being hit by lightning, he still possessed formidable combat power, facing Yan Fei head-on without falling behind and managing to land several heavy blows.

Yan Fei gritted his teeth and endured Hideo Oogawa’s heavy hits. His body had been dosed with an anesthetic, and with the violent movements, the anesthetic began to spread throughout his body, numbing it. It was this numbness that allowed Yan Fei to withstand Hideo Oogawa’s fierce attacks.

As the two men sank to the bottom of the sea, engaged in a deadly fight while also enduring the terrifying water pressure, they slowly began to falter. Hideo Oogawa was already severely injured before the hasty plunge into the sea and had been fighting with Yan Fei all along, consuming a large amount of Oxygen. After the violent assault, he had reached his limit, wanting to ascend to gasp for breath above the surface.

But Yan Fei, whose body had been modified by Mysterious Power and had some amazing features, now discovered that his consumption of Oxygen at the bottom of the sea was greatly reduced compared to normal people. His skin could even absorb the free Oxygen from the seawater. So although he had plunged into the sea with Hideo Oogawa, he had not yet experienced any breathing difficulties.

Seeing Hideo Oogawa trying to surface for air, Yan Fei immediately began to swim, tightly grasping Hideo Oogawa’s legs and dragging him into the deeper water. Hideo Oogawa was taken aback and struggled fiercely, but with the shift in power, Yan Fei’s Strength was not much less than his. With this effort, Hideo Oogawa found himself unable to break free and was dragged down by Yan Fei toward the seabed.

This struggle consumed even more of Hideo Oogawa’s Oxygen, causing him to faint from severe oxygen deficiency, weakening his arms and legs. Suddenly, Yan Fei felt the struggling force in his hands intensify, and Hideo Oogawa broke free, swimming upwards. Yan Fei knew that if Hideo Oogawa escaped, it would be his doom. He gathered all his remaining strength and chased after Hideo Oogawa, catching his feet just as he was about to surface and dragging him back down to the seabed.

Hideo Oogawa’s desperate burst had used up all his energy, and now being dragged down again, his strength greatly diminished, unable to break free from Yan Fei’s grip, continuously dragged toward the bottom of the sea. Eventually, Hideo Oogawa stopped struggling, his limbs spread out, floating lifelessly at the bottom.

After such an extensive expenditure of energy, Yan Fei also became dizzy, falling into a state of deep oxygen deficiency, but he still clung to Hideo Oogawa, fiercely smashing his temple with sharp stones from the seabed. Blood flowed from Hideo Oogawa’s head, but there was no response.

At this point, Yan Fei used his arms and legs to ascend rapidly, and with a “thud,” he burst through the surface, breathing deeply. Fresh, moist air filled his lungs, soothing his symptoms of oxygen deficiency. Never before had Yan Fei felt that the ability to breathe freely was such a marvelous thing.

As Yan Fei breathed in bliss on the sea surface, he saw an Apache armed helicopter from Fishwoman Mountain descending toward the sea area where he was. He took a deep breath, then swiftly turned and dived back into the ocean, searching for Hideo Oogawa on the ocean floor.

Blood ceaselessly poured from the top of Hideo Oogawa’s head, and he showed no response whatsoever, clearly no longer capable of movement, but Yan Fei didn’t yet know if he was dead. After all, every expert Yan Fei had encountered before had incredibly strong vitality, and Hideo Oogawa’s strength surpassed that of any other expert he had met, so he could not be taken lightly. Therefore, he picked up the stone again and smashed it into Hideo Oogawa’s head until the brain oozed out, yet there was still no movement. It was at this time that Yan Fei finally believed that Hideo Oogawa was indeed dead.

Hideo Oogawa’s strength was formidable, and if Yan Fei were to confront him head-on, fleeing would have been his only option. However, Yan Fei managed to first strike Oogawa with lightning, then induced oxygen deficiency in the water, and after several bouts, finally killed him. It was a performance above his level, like defeating a superior monster.

Yan Fei looked around, hid Hideo Oogawa’s body between the reefs on the seabed, and placed a large stone on top to prevent it from floating to the surface. Then he surfaced once more and swam towards the distant beach.

The armed helicopter above kept circling the area of the incident, trying to find traces of both Hideo Oogawa and Yan Fei.

Yan Fei finally swam onto the beach. His body, because of the anaesthetic, had become very stiff. He just wanted to lie there motionless. However, not daring to stay in the area, he used his arms and legs to crawl toward the shore and into the dense forest. After finding a cave and hiding inside, he lay down to rest.

This rainy night death match didn’t last long in terms of time, but the thrills far surpassed any before, every second was a brush with death. Not only was Yan Fei on the threshold of life and death, but so was his opponent. In the end, he was the last to laugh, eliminating the Oogawa Family’s top enforcer. Though Yan Fei was not yet a match for Hideo Oogawa in martial force, his robust body coupled with a bit of luck still managed to grind down Oogawa.

With this, all those who came to disrupt Dream Technology headquarters were taken care of by Yan Fei, and the rage in his heart was quelled. His original purpose in coming to Japan was to eliminate Ryoko Oogawa and Jo Oogawa. Never had he anticipated being able to kill Hideo Oogawa; after all, Oogawa’s strength was formidable, not someone he could have killed at this point. However, due to a fortunate series of events, the unexpected joy was that he had indeed eliminated Hideo Oogawa.

Yan Fei hid in the cave, his entire body numb and unable to move. Meanwhile, the Drone on the ocean floor, having exhausted its Energy Points, was in standby mode, as the US Navy guided missile destroyer approached it from above. Yan Fei was in an unprecedentedly grave situation; discovery would mean the end of everything for him, but rather unusually, he wasn’t too tense, knowing that it was nearly midnight in Tokyo and the Drone Data was about to refresh.

Indeed, after hiding in the cave for two minutes, a Mysterious Power suddenly surged through Yan Fei, followed by the Drone Data refresh. The Drone was rejuvenated, regaining its Combat power. The Mysterious Power also healed Yan Fei’s body, rapidly neutralizing the anaesthetic. He regained sensation in his body, and his internal injuries rapidly healed.

Just as two US Navy escort ships were approaching the area where the Drone was lurking, they saw movement on the water’s surface, as the Drone once again burst forth, quickly flying away toward open sea. At that moment, only an F-15 Fighter and an F-35 remained in the sky. Having been bluff attacked by the Drone earlier, leading them to question their existence, they had been conducting high-altitude surveillance, staying vigilant and not giving the Drone another chance.

Now that they spotted the Drone emerging from the sea once again, they felt their caution was justified, knowing not to fall for the same trick twice. However, they immediately fired missiles at the Drone, yet to their surprise, the Vulcan Gun on the Drone’s nose fired, cleanly shooting down the two missiles. These fighter pilots had known that the Drone’s bullets and missiles had been exhausted, which is why they dared to hover nearby, ready to attack it. Upon witnessing the Drone firing again, they were so frightened they flew far away, daring not to approach it any longer.

After takeoff, the Drone used its Quantum Radar for a scan, detecting a group of over twenty aircraft advancing in its direction. Knowing that the US and Japanese support planes were coming—he had struggled even against just over a dozen fighters before—Yan Fei instantly turned and flew in the opposite direction.

Once he was sufficiently far away, the Drone turned back and plunged into the ocean, then moved swiftly underwater, far from the place it had just entered the water.
