"Darling, did you get any notification?"
Erix laughed in response as he appeared behind Rin with teleport and hugged her, "of course!"
Rin grinned and turned around to face him before pecking on his lips.
"Let's quickly learn to apply this concept better and create theories to test them out on our coming challengers," Rin grinned.
The duo didn't waste more time and sat down cross-legged, facing each other while consuming some Mana and turning it into various energies before finding various uses for their new concept.
The duo created a chaotic force using their energies and used it to empower their skills.
In a sense, they understood the surface essence of chaos with the inspiration from turbulence and managed to awaken the Chaos concept.
And with Chaos being a highly versatile concept, the direction they both would have when reaching the 2nd realm in the Chaos concept would be wholly different.
"Rin, I'm gonna check out the new metal I got. Hit me with your spirit force if our challengers comes."
"Alright."
Erix closed his eyes, his consciousness entering his Origin region where a mysterious dreamy orb displaying a strange scenery was floating above his Metal nexus.
That orb was his Metal world. Entering inside, he observed the tiny world that was 1000 kilometers in diameter area and filled with exotic metals that he had learned to create so far.'
He could connect this metal world to some random Metal dimension, and it was connected to a strange one at the moment.
Erix's consciousness observed the center of his Metal world where a circular hole connected to a Metal dimension. It would randomly spew metal elements and form ore veins in his Metal world.
'Interesting…this metal is completely different and attribute-less,' Erix was surprised. This new dimension was just connected today, and he wanted to add this new metal to his final product.
'Hmm, I got all primary elements mixed up in the new metal, so should I add this attribute-less one into it?'
Erix thought only for a second before he made the decision.
Without hesitation, Erix pulled out a chunk of this new completely white metal and added it into a colorful chunk of metal resting on a huge cauldron.
Erix's Metal Nexus effect activated as he scanned the new metal completely in a minute, learning to create its structure. It was a Tier-4 metal, and he was used to their structures after scanning over twenty Tier-4 metals so far.
After he was done with that part, Erix used his Devorex Metal attribute-concept to devour that Tier-4.5 metal he created from various attributed-metals and mixed it into this new attribute-less metal.
His Metal world started shaking and changing. Since everything was made of various metals in this world that Erix had learned, this new metal also caused changes to it.
After two minutes of process, Erix was surprised to see a crystal-like light blue metal with a condensed woven internal structure with different complex micro-layers.
'Is this my first Tier-5 metal?' Erix's eyes shone, and he quickly inspected it.
[Etherine Veil]
_Rank: Tier-5
_Effects:
—> Defense Structure: A metal with general defense against all magical forces but weak against attacks of pure physical medium.
—> Offense Structure: Attacks released through/with this metal have some penetration against magical defenses.
—> Quirks: The metal resonates with magical energies, giving energies channeled through it a 10% passive boost in their powers.
Erix read the effects and understood one absolute thing—this metal was so far best for his skills that would use the Chaos concept.
Its defense was also crazily powerful yet very weak. For instance, if he released the Sling Shot punch in projectile form, then this metal would display high resistance against it, even absorbing the magical energies of the projectile.
However, if Erix executed the same Sling Shot punch and physically connected his fist to hit a shield made from this metal, he would easily shatter it!
The strength and weakness of this metal was blatant and extreme on both sides.
'But if the enemies don't know its weakness, I can use this metal for a defense skill,' Erix internally nodded.
Erix immediately started scanning the new metal, and it took three minutes total before he was able to reproduce it.
Right as he finished, he also got a nudge from Rin's spirit force.
"Our first guests are here."
Two powerful auras were rapidly approaching them.
Erix opened his eyes before his entire right arm transformed from flesh into the Etherine Veil.
Rin was also ready with not one, but actually two katanas! The second one was made from pure mana as it glistened blue-white.
"Dual wielding?" Erix raised his eyebrows.
Rin grinned, "This Mana blade will make it easier for me to create more Chronace Flow and make my attack chaotic directly."
"Mhm, that's a good idea," Erix nodded. He understood what Rin wanted to do.
"You seem to have gotten a new metal," Rin looked at Erix's right arm. "It's stronger."
"Yep."
The duo turned to the forest as two presences neared and slowed.
Five hundred meters away, the two men saw Rin and Erix with their auras rising in the sky.
"They are giving us signal…" one of the Royal-order hunters muttered.
"We kill them and live," the dark elf gritted his teeth. "Go all out from the start the moment they attack us."
They resumed flying and floated fifty meters away from Rin and Erix, just in enough strange to put them into their domain.
"Wait a minute, we'll attack you soon so you can kill us," Erix deviously smiled at the duo before he took out a Mana potion and drank half of it.
Rin also did the same.
Since both of them consumed 2000 Mana to make preparation for their attacks before the fight, they chugged half a potion again to make it full.
Dark elf and the dark blond human male felt humiliation like never before.
They could see that these two Noble-order hunters were looking forward instead of feeling fear.
'I am having a bad feeling…' the dark elf thought.
"Alright, we are ready," Erix said before he and Rin consumed 2 points of Mana and attacked both Royal-order at once with just a minor hit to deactivate their protections.
Right after that, both of them felt an irresistible force enveloping them before the scenery changed.
Erix arrived in a world of colorful crystal cubes with a wobbly atmosphere and wavy space, while Rin arrived on land with various types of swords buried on the ground, facing the dark gold-haired man.
*Swoosh!*
Instantly, five swords shot toward Rin from different directions, but all of them missed her even though she didn't move as her Chronace storm started moving.
'What?!' Dilek was shocked. 'It's guaranteed hit, but…what is that power?'
Rin narrowed her eyes and said, "Stop looking down on me, or you'll die."
*Swoosh!*
Dilek felt a chill as Rin pointed her blades at him.
'Damn it.'
He didn't want to look down, but seeing that his opponent was a Noble-order hunter, he just instinctively acted like he was facing an ant.
*Swoosh!*
Rin wanted to face a few more attacks before releasing hers.
Meanwhile, Erix's chaotic whirling punch struck the Dark Elf squarely as he wasted no time.
Severely injured at once, the dark elf felt his consciousness fleeting and his domain shattering as they appeared back outside.
'Woah, that was stronger than I expected,' Erix was shocked at his own attack because it was only worth 1200 Mana as he reserved some power!
The dark elf tried to recover using potions while Erix waited and tinkered with the formation on his arm.
'Damn it, damn it! What the fuck is that power?'
'Is it a damn Exotic element?'
'My wounds..' The dark elf chugged another potion upon seeing his low recovery.
'Death and fire…it's a Super Exotic element.. the third element….space?' the Dark elf felt flabbergasted and then envious like never before.
'His metal affinity is as high as my highest element…What the fuck is this Noble-order hunter? Why is he still at such a low level?!'
"You done?" Erix asked after a minute as he finished tinkering.
*BOOM*
Suddenly, a loud cracking and boom occurred nearby as Rin emerged with minor wounds on her hands, but her opponent…
The man fell down with his body cut into meshed-up pieces.
At that moment, the dark elf felt his stomach churning and his mind blanking.
Not because his partner died at the hands of a Noble-order hunter.
No.
But because…he realized why the two of them, the weakest of the ten, were freed and given a chance to live.
They…they were being used as sharpening stones for these two crazy Noble-order hunters!
