Chapter 407: One Choice
Chapter 407: One Choice
Everyone began internal discussions at hearing the number of slaves and the power of slaves they wanted!
"What is their stance and determination to complete their job here?" Yelwon asked with a frown.
"And did you find their number of force or such a thing?" James asked, his expression thoughtful. "We can make some plans if we have that information."
"Nope. They have a complete disregard for us," Rin wryly smiled. "That bastard that came here just told us what they were going to do and that if we obstruct them, even Sanctuary Areas will not be able to save us."
"They have a force of over 1000 Empyrean-order and two Reverend-order powerhouses, so forget about fighting back," Lilith stated as she shook her head. "They have the power to break Sanctuary Area, so nobody is safe."
Everyone's expression changed again, becoming graver. Even if they wanted to stand against their atrocities, it would be the same as courting death!
"But they will not target Unfettered Kingdom's citizens because they don't want to waste time against needless resistance and increase their work. There is enough public outside our kingdom, so they will focus on them," Erix said.
These words changed everyone's expression again like a roller-coaster. Most of them looked relieved.
"Cultivating one million Royal-order powerhouses doesn't seem to be an easy and quick task," Gabriel furrowed his thick eyebrows.
"First of all, what you all heard from us was the same thing he told us," Erix said, his eyes narrowed. "We don't know what they will do, so we can't rule out the possibility that they will also target us."
"If they do that, it's game over," Rin said with a sigh. "This pirate group urgently came here to take slaves, and I figure it's better for them if they bring more."
"Slaves are resources that can be a very valuable and expendable workforce with considerable output, and…they want Royal-order slaves," Amir frowned. "I doubt they will hesitate about adding more slaves if they can."
"So we are not safe, but they will not target us initially."
"Actually," Erix coughed, squashing the internal discussion that began as everyone put their attention on him. "We are not in much danger. If they do anything, then you all and the rest will have to face problems.
Everyone was confused.
"What do you mean?" Jason jerked his head in doubt and confusion as he asked loudly.
"We have the means to leave this planet. They won't even stop us few from leaving," Rin said with a plain, indifferent smile.

Everyone's expression changed while murmurs began.
The clans were completely dependent on the Unfettered Kingdom, and the rest of the clans spread over the world didn't even have the protection of the Sanctuary Area as they were not natives. They were in the most trouble as they were likely the first targets for the Blue Maw pirate group.
"Will you abandon us if the situation forces that?" Leiro, the leader of the Zerian demon clan asked. His expression was laced with concern. He had sworn complete allegiance to the Unfetered Kingdom, and their progress and survival depended on them.
The other clan leaders were also concerned because Blue Maw Pirate Kingdom would definitely target the various clans that were not part of the Unfettered Kingdom. If Erix and others left, they would lose protection and become slaves.
This one question of Leiro caused complete silence as everyone looked at Erix, Rin, and others.
The guild leaders were also troubled. Nobody wanted to become a slave, so Erix and others leaving was a worst-case scenario for them.
"That is, my dear folks of the kingdom, for you to decide," Erix wryly smiled and swept his glance at everyone. "We have some tasks to complete. If we complete these tasks as soon as possible, then we will have a happy ending."
"If not, then you all will have a sad ending."
"Tasks?" Yelwon raised her eyebrows.
"Yes. We shall begin the meeting to discuss what we will be doing from now on. We have clear objectives to complete. If you want to have a happy ending to this event and not become slaves, then I want everyone's full focus on them," Rin sharply said.
"But before that, I want all of you to swear a spiritual oath that you will not talk about anything of this meeting with others, not even your guild members or clan members."
Erix snapped his finger and completely shut off the Island. Nobody would be able to escape even if they tried.
"Take a spiritual oath that if you reveal anything of this meeting to others, then your mind and body will die, and your spirit will shatter into nothingness," Erix said. "This must be in effect until we finish the so-called tasks."
"Must we take that oath?" Leishun asked with a weak smile.
"True, we all want to survive, and you are our only way. Betraying you is digging our own grave."
However, Erix's powerful aura suddenly bore down on everyone as they experienced suffocation and turned silent.
Erix stepped forward and floated as he looked at the group of leaders. His expression turned indifferent and utterly cold as his overwhelming aura caused everyone's expression to become difficult.
"To prevent even a whiff of suspicion from getting out, I want all of you to take this oath about not revealing anything that you will see and her or even mention of this meeting to anyone."
"You became part of this kingdom and received benefits. You are hopeless without us, and you know that. So…" Erix narrowed his eyes before he continued, his next words causing a dreadful chill to suffuse everyone.
"I will only accept your leave from this…if you accept death."
In short, nobody had any say in this matter. Either take the oath or die.
A burst of light released from Koshal for a brief moment before he smiled. "I will not reveal anything that I hear or see in this meeting or even the mention of this meeting to anyone."
"If I do, then may my mind and body die and spirit scatter into nothingness."
A black spiritual chain manifested and wrapped around Koshal for a moment before disappearing.
Yelwon also finished her oath as she uttered it in a clear and cut voice.
It wasn't long before everyone took the oath, with no one missing out.
"Good. Now, let's start."
....
The meeting finished after an hour while Bill and Rani had already started working. They were bored traveling for the past month, so they didn't waste time.
Rani ordered Bill's subordinates and her subordinates to find the clans and people that were not under the protection of the Sanctuary Area.
She then started working on other things while Bill soon returned.
"I talked with the strongest group here. They already knew about us from the clan we used, so it seems they knew our terror, haha."
Bill said with a laugh as he arrived beside Rani and looked at the various screens.
"Good. Now, go and release our Empyrean-order slaves," Rani said while looking at the various scenery of the planet. "We have to collect resources and create formations."
"If possible, let's complete our task within the next three to six months. Mystic Root will continue to bring out events and dungeons, so we have to make sure the native slaves go through them and collect the resources."
"With your specialty, they will gladly do that," Bill grinned. "Alright, let's begin."
