Chapter 741 Alliance Formed, Alliance Broken [Part 1]
Clark wasn't the only one completely shaken by what they had experienced. Vincent and Char naturally felt the same.
But unlike him, the two kept what they saw and heard a secret, and didn't tell anyone.
After a restless night, they got ready for the event.
This time, the participants no longer gathered in the Colosseum. Instead, they headed to the locations where the Special GANDAM CAPSULES were waiting for them.
Each group would be sent to a deserted island, where they would battle it out to get as many points as possible.
The top two of each respective group would advance to the final battle, which would head to the Semi-finals.
Each island would have twelve participants in it, except for the fourth group which had fourteen people.
The losers and the winners would spawn randomly on the map.
If the losers got eliminated once, they would be kicked out of the island.
The winners still had some leeway. After their first elimination, they would respawn on the island with their points still intact.
The only time they would be kicked off the island was when they were eliminated a second time.
This event would last for ten hours, and after that, the two Wanderers with the highest score would advance, leaving everyone behind.
The Monarch Clans and the Prestigious Families liked this compromise and dropped their plans to sneakily sabotage the tournament.
In short, Thirteen had made this move not only to pacify them but to also protect the other contestants who managed to win the first rounds of the competition.
Since the venue was no longer the Colosseum, the spectators were watching the special live coverage of the event in their homes.
They could freely tune in to the live broadcast of any candidate they wanted to watch, allowing them to see everything that was happening in real time.
The GANDAM Capsules were special editions, allowing each Wanderer to retain their ranks and use all of the abilities they possess without restrictions.
Clark, who had just laid down on his own capsule, had a solemn look on his face.
For the time being, he put aside the experience he had a day ago in the corner of his mind and focused on the last opportunity given to him.
Once everyone was inside the Capsule, Thirteen's voice reached their ears.
"Two minutes from now, all of you will be teleported to your respective deserted islands," Thirteen said. "Good luck, and may fortune shine upon the bold."
Two minutes later, Clark found himself inside a forest.
Each Wanderer would be teleported at least a mile away from each other, so they wouldn't clash right away.
Thirteen had explained the rules of the tournament beforehand.
Every ten minutes, the map would be scanned, allowing the Wanderers to know the location of the other Wanderers.
Of course, they wouldn't know who that Wanderer was.
At the same time, the island would also slowly sink due to the high tide, which would make the battlefield smaller, ensuring that the Wanderers would have no choice but to fight against each other.
Regardless of the outcome of this event, everyone would need to accept it.
In Island Number 1, the Candidate of the Leventis Family, Terence Leventis, eyed his surroundings.
He was Cristopher's previous Master and had once tried to antagonize Thirteen during his Grandfather's birthday party.
Many years had passed since then, and he was no longer the arrogant and spoiled child of the Leventis Family.
The reason?
Three names—Mikhail, Shasha, and Zion.
During the past years, Mikhail and Shasha had become Rising Stars, and Arthur even commented on several meetings that he was in the process of making them return to the Main Branch of the family.
This caused the other teenagers within the family to feel pressure, for they all knew that if that were to really happen, none of them would be able to contend against them.
Not to mention, there was also another anomaly, who was none other than Zion.
If Mikhail and Shasha were Rising Stars, then Zion was definitely a Supernova.
He was like the blinding sun that towered above all Wanderers.
No one in the current and older generation had accomplished any of the things he did.
Even the Monarchs weren't able to do it. All of these facts sobered up the young geniuses of the Leventis Family, motivating them to be more serious in their training.
'The greatest threats are Clark and Roland,' Terrence thought. 'But since the Ashford Clan reached out to form an alliance to defeat the Hero Party first, I will follow along for now.'
The members of the young generation had agreed that they would all team up to eliminate the members of the Hero Party and Thirteen's Squad first before they fought against each other.
Naturally, Mikhail and Shasha were also at the top of the list of people that needed to be eliminated.
Frankly, Terrence felt a little conflicted on this part.
Truth be told, he wasn't confident that he would be able to bring glory to the Leventis Family and qualify for the Semi Finals of the tournament.
But unlike him, Mikhail and Shasha might actually achieve that.
If it were them, Terrence was certain that they had the ability to secure the Championship.
'Fortunately, Mikhail and Shasha are in a different group.' Terrence sighed in his heart. 'Now, I just need to focus on eliminating Roland and the others.'
Terrence knew that, if by chance, Mikhail and Shasha were in the same group as him, the moment he attacked them, he would be disowned by Arthur and be kicked out of the Leventis Family.
Currently, he and the others didn't move from their spot and simply waited for the ten-minute mark.
After ten minutes, a scan enveloped the entire island, and the location of the other Wanderers appeared in the projection in front of him.
'The nearest person to me is in the North.' Terrence eyed the map one more time before moving towards the North. 'I hope they are part of the Anti-Hero Coalition.'
Just like Terrence, the other Wanderers also made their moves, heading to the nearest Wanderers in their location.
Those who were watching in their homes watched with excitement as the first battles within the deserted islands loomed, which they reckoned would happen as soon as the Wanderers encountered each other on their respective battlefields.
