Chapter 1538: Ancient Glorious City(9)
"If you attack me one more time, I will get angry," The creature growled, seeing Aakesh having no intention to stop.
Even though the first two attacks failed to cause any harm to it, it could feel danger from the attack Aakesh was preparing. It had no evil intention behind coming here.
It was an inhabitant of the city who was free to move from one building to another. It was getting bored, so it was looking for ways to pass the time, and coincidentally, it came to the building where the three were battling.
Aakesh stopped his attack upon listening to the creature's reason for coming there. He still didn't let his guard down and focused on the battle on the stage.
Lily and Khaval had both become injured due to the battle.
"I win," Lily stated, stopping her claw one cm away from Khaval's head. One little movement and his head would disappear.
"I lose," With a helpless sigh, Khaval accepted his defeat.
The next moment, Aakesh reappeared in the battle arena, with their sequence number floating above their heads. Since 2 and 3 had already battled, the line connecting the numbers changed between '1 and 3' and '1 and 2'.
The next moment, it stopped, and a line emerged between 1 and 3, meaning it was time for Aakesh and Khaval to battle.
Sigh!
Khaval helplessly sighed since he was too injured to face the battle. There was no phenomenon of him or Lily fully recovering after their battles, carrying the numerous injuries they received on the battlefield.
Aakesh couldn't unlock the system space, or he would have already taken out items for Lily and Khaval's recovery. But he didn't have to worry since the recovery rate of Lily and Khaval wasn't short.
Since there was no time limit for battle, Aakesh told Khaval to recover first. The barrier stopping them from making any attack had long disappeared, but Aakesh silently stood there.
After around an hour, Khaval had fully recovered and was ready to battle Aakesh.
"I am coming," Khaval commented and charged.
Aakesh stood there and faced the charge head-on.
Khaval groaned as a wave of pain hit his large head. He felt as if he had hit some unbreakable wall.
Aakesh also attacked and punched Khaval. Khaval wanted to move away but seemed to have been frozen due to the pressure emanating from the attack and its creator.
Boom!
The punch hit Khaval's head, and he was knocked back hundreds of meters. He only stopped because the energy wall around the arena blocked him from going any further.
Aakesh wasn't going to be brutal to Khaval, so he only used some of his strength, but even that was powerful enough to cause a dent in Khaval's head.
"I accept defeat." Khaval didn't try to make another attack and simply accepted defeat.
From the earlier clash, it became clear to Khaval that there was no match between him and Aakesh. If Aakesh had used even fifty percent of his strength, his head would have exploded, and he would have died.
If he had his skills with him, Khaval might have tried to continue the fight. But with only his physique, there was no point in continuing the battle unless Khaval was masochistic and liked to get beaten and injured.
Lily seemed disappointed with Khaval for so easily accepting defeat, but she also understood the point of it. Unlike Aakesh, she didn't notice the strange creature, who was also watching the battle.
Since Khaval accepted defeat, a light swept Lily, and she reappeared on the battle stage. She had also recovered fully due to the long resting time.
The number 3 above Khaval's head had turned dim since he had already faced two battles and lost both of them, so he was the third of three combatants.
A line connected the number above Lily and Aakesh's heads, and soon after, an energy barrier appeared before them. Khaval got pushed to the audience seat. Like Lily, he also didn't notice the fourth person in the building.
The counter appeared in the sky and started going down. The barriers disappeared once it reached zero, and Lily made her move.
If Lily had a possibility of battling Aakesh, it had to do with agility. Using quick movement, she repeatedly slashed.
Aakesh skillfully dodged all of them, but he couldn't be casual about it. After stepping into the True God level, her agility seemed to have become equal, if not higher than that of Aakesh, and she fully used it.
Slam!
After repeatedly trying to strike Aakesh, she finally succeeded in landing one strike, but following that, a large hand came toward her and made a grabbing attempt.
Lily immediately pulled back at the last moment, surviving Aakesh's grab. Her face didn't look good since Aakesh hadn't even begun.
Aakesh pushed energy into his legs and rushed. Tearing through the air, he reached Lily and punched her. Lily moved to her left and dodged the attack. She then immediately counterattacked, trying to take Aakesh's head.
Aakesh dunked, resulting in Lily's claws hitting just empty air. She had expected it, so she bit his shoulder.
Her teeth sank in her shoulder, and when she moved backward, a wound opened up, gushing blood.
Khaval saw the scenes on the stage with a solemn face. If he had to choose one for victory, he wanted it to be Lily since Aakesh had always been undefeatable.
Aakesh smiled when he saw Lily causing injury to him. His movement suddenly became quicker, pushing to full throttle.
He appeared behind Lily and grabbed her. Lily also pushed herself to extremes and escaped, leaving Aakesh with nothing but her hair.
Bam!
Before Lily could move further, she was struck by a kick, throwing her upward in the air. Aakesh jumped with her, surpassing her knocked speed, and descended after grabbing her.
Boom!
Aakesh mercilessly pushed Lily to the battle arena, causing a cloud of dust to rise.
"Argh!" Lily groaned as a wave of pain hit her. Her bones seemed to have fallen apart with the kick and the crash.
"Do you accept defeat?" Aakesh asked and punched.
His punch stopped right before Lily's stomach. If she refused, he would knock her unconscious. If she accepted, there would be no need for that.
