Chapter 170 - Wrong Decision
Chapter 170: Wrong Decision
Noah suddenly felt as if someone was trying to stretch him from all directions after the tip of his finger lightly brushed the green crack.
The next moment, the uncomfortable feeling disappeared as he found himself in unfamiliar surroundings.
Before he could look at his surroundings, the pain he had been holding on, while running for his life erupted at the same time.
He couldn't help but release a scream since his physique was only ordinary. He sat down since with every moment he spent standing on made his injury worse.
After sitting, he looked at the burn on his foot. He couldn't help but feel shocked seeing the extent to which his foot had gotten burned.
The skin of his foot had already burnt away, and he was currently looking at his charred muscles.
He decided to let the injury heal before thinking of doing anything since the event would at least take decades to clear.
But somehow, his bad luck didn't give up on him, and suddenly the environment in the dungeon turned cold, and the chillier wind started flowing.
When the wind brushed the burnt foot, Noah felt as if countless needles were poking his wound. Unaware, a drop of tear streamed through his cheeks, feeling the painful torture.
The weather stayed the same for a few days, and those few days turned out to be hell for him, but he didn't want to give up, so he persisted with the torture and didn't give up.
After the weather returned to normal, it only took a few days for his wound to heal. After it finally healed and stopped creating any form of trouble for Noah, he decided to start the hunt.
Since he was in an open jungle, with the density of trees very low, Noah randomly chose a direction and proceeded in search of the enemy.
It didn't take long for him to come across the enemy. Only after walking for a few Kms. he found an Elf creating arrows using the branches of the trees of the jungle.
Time flew by, and several days passed.
While hiding on one of the tree branches in the jungle, Noah was looking at something on his front with complete concentration.
Several meters in front of Noah were an Elf male and a female. It seemed they were a couple since they both were kissing.
Noah aimed at the couple by the bow he had made during these past several days.
He took a deep breath and shot the arrow, aiming for the female's head since she was in front.
"Whoosh!"
The couple heard the sound of something tearing through the air while involved in their moment. They tried to move away, sensing some danger.
The female easily moved away, but the male couldn't, so the arrow pierced his throat.
Noah couldn't let the Elves make a scene, so he shot another aiming at the girl, but unfortunately for him, he missed it since the arrow was a few meters out of bound.
He didn't give up, knocked another arrow, and shot it once again while the girl had gotten frozen, seeing her lover struggling to survive.
His shot again missed the aim of hitting the girl's head, but fortunately for him, it was successful in piercing her left shoulder.
The pain from the piercing finally woke the girl up. Her eyes turned red from rage as she rushed in the direction of the arrow since she didn't have a weapon in her hands.
Noah didn't get flustered and shot another arrow. The girl tried to dodge it, but she didn't have enough time to, so she took the brunt of the strike on her hands and increased her speed.
Noah finally had a change of reaction, seeing the savageness of the girl Elf. He tried to shoot another arrow, but it missed by quite a distance due to his flustered mind.
The girl Elf had come very close where Noah couldn't use archery anymore, so he rushed while holding one arrow in his hands.
While rushing at her, he suddenly felt a stream of strange yet familiar energy engulfing him. He tried to calm his mind as he was in a life-and-death situation.
The girl, in her rage, tried to punch Noah to knock him down, but the addition of the energy after the Elf's growth made him slightly stronger than the girl, so he dodged it by turning his entire body to the left.
The next moment, the punch passed through where his body was a moment earlier. He got hold of the girl's hand and pulled her.
The girl lost her balance by the sudden situation and easily got pulled into Noah's embrace.
But instead of Noah's chest, an arrow to her heart welcomed her. She coughed out blood in response when Noah took out the arrow from her heart and thrust it again and again until she lost her life.
Another stream of strange energy welcomed him after the death of the female Elf.
He took a deep breath after the feeling ended. "Two gone," He then murmured, looking at the corpse of the couple.
After finding the Elf for the first time, he didn't take a fight and instead started training in archery after making a bow from the tree branches. Today was the first day when he decided to start his hunt, and these were his first kills of the dungeon.
Time flew by, and years passed. Noah found himself getting stronger with each clear.
In a blue dungeon, he obtained a quiver with an unlimited number of arrows and a bow that would never miss its target. Using the bow, he easily cleared the dungeons.
He didn't even know when he started clearing white dungeons. He even became favorites for many in the crowd seeing his awe-inspiring performances in the dungeons.
After clearing many white dungeons, he had gotten bored of them, so he decided to clear one more white dungeon, and then he would search for the black.
He only found how wrong he was in choosing one more dungeon when he saw the enemies.
They were none other than Hygars, the strongest beings of the Primal dimension.
Since the participants couldn't leave the dungeon midway and go for another, Noah had no choice but to clear it if he wanted to go forward.
Unfortunately for him, he lost the battle badly, and his opponent killed him.. His journey in the event came to an end due to one wrong decision.
