Chapter 2891 Arrival in Uzira
The departure from Oqia went smoothly for Minos' group. Traveling across the continent was no problem for a group like his. With the help of the level 124 Divine Dragon, it only took them a few weeks to reach the west coast, from where they would set off for Uzira.
The days of travel served for Minos and his wives to experience a little of the continent's current reality, marked by much more stability than they had ever seen before. They were also able to see some of the great respect that the local forces now showed for Armhands.
Even though many didn't know Minos, the entire continent now knew the guild and hardly anyone would stand in the way of a group of Armhands. They sensed this by not even having to identify themselves for groups and conflicts to move out of their way, making room for them to complete their journey more quickly.
So they reached the west coast, where they found one of the region's port cities and acquired an ordinary ship to make their journey across the Violent Sea.
Previously, anyone would have feared traveling through the Violent Sea, even more so in an ordinary vessel. Even with the Hell Lifelings on the group's side for the past few years, voyages across the Violent Sea were still feared by guild members.
Some simply still lived in Oqia because they were unwilling to leave and face the risks of naval voyages across the most dangerous of seas.
But with Minos among them, those most worried about the journey were reassured, even in an ordinary vessel like the one they had obtained before leaving the continent. As for the Hell Lifelings, most of them stayed behind, some to serve their sentences for having acted against some of the family's commands, while others were given the opportunity to stay and return to Uzira on the guild's next voyages between continents.
So began Minos' sea journey on his return to Uzira, a journey that they couldn't get too far ahead of and that would take them at least a few months to complete, even with all the possibilities he now had.
In the meantime, however, he would learn more about. Uzira's situation!
In the middle of the sea voyage to Uzira, Minos' group was eventually met by minions of the Sea Serpent, Minos, and Abby's subordinate, revived from the dead and transformed into a Hell Lifeling.
Since being left behind to serve the interests of the Stuart family and Armhands, the Sea Serpent had been acting in the Violent Sea, on the lookout for news of Minos' return. After a few weeks just traveling around the area, Minos' group was found by one of the Sea Serpent's underlings, who brought him into contact with the group soon after.
Now Minos was traveling under the escort of the Sea Serpent's group, with the 12th stage's own high-level creature accompanying them to Uzira.
Unlike the Armhands' forces in Oqia, the Sea Serpent had access to more information about Uzira, faster and more detailed information vehicles. While Minos' people in Oqia only knew about the return of Mylecent and the intensification of the rebel confrontation in Uzira, the Sea Serpent knew much more.
The contest between the rebels and the royal forces in Uzira seemed to have reached its climax not long ago. Mylecent was commanding his forces aggressively against the Eternal Death group, bringing fighting and chaos to the entire continent.
According to the Sea Serpent, things could end with either side of the war winning before too long.
The good news was that Armhands was doing relatively well amid all this. Although the guild was allied with the rebels, they had been acting more as support and getting less directly involved in the fighting. Apart from the Hell Lifelings that Minos had left on the side of the rebels, they were practically acting with only their own forces. Minos was very interested in ending the conflict in Uzira and stabilizing the continent with someone of his control in charge, so the timing for him was perfect.
Just as he had only stayed a few days in Oqia, he didn't want to stay much longer in Uzira before setting off on his journey to Forfex.
After the last few trips, he had finished calibrating Devdar's pendant and now knew exactly how to make his way to the first of the target planets he intended to stop at to investigate his old ally's whereabouts. With this ready to allow him to reach information and opportunities that would lead him to the last phase of Devdar's inheritance, he didn't want to linger too long on Zocarro.
Minos was just settling his last affairs in this world so as not to leave any unfinished business for his relatives before focusing entirely on the Upper Realm and the problems with Hell.
So, while sailing to Uzira, now better informed about the situation on the continent, Minos was quietly meditating in one of the cabins of his ship.
Meanwhile, his wives took care of the vehicle's routine for him, with the Sea Serpent on hand, to deal with natural phenomena and shorten the group's journey through quieter areas.
In the meantime, Hollie and the others on that ship heading for Uzira could relax and enjoy the journey to the stronger continent of Zocarro, where Lily, Oswald and several of their other relatives were already.
At the end of the voyage, Minos' ship and his group were practically intact when the crew spotted the coast of Uzira ahead, just a few months after leaving Oqia-a record travel time between the two continents.
Feeling the spiritual aura of Uzira, Minos opened his eyes, leaving his final meditation after observing where his group's destination was heading.
Seeing in front of him the place he had arrived at several decades ago, in a totally different situation, he waved to his group and said, "Let's go. There are no mysteries ahead. Let's go to the local guild headquarters before we get involved in local problems.
With that said, he left the ship followed by each of his companions, traveling among the trees and undergrowth of this coastal area, heading for the Armhands headquarters in Uzira.
The guild's headquarters on the mainland were not far away. With the group's speed, they would be there in just two days!
