Chapter 2905 Farewells I
After returning to Armhands' base in Uzira, Minos, and his wives met up with the rest of their family, as well as the main names in the post. They announced their departure time, giving those who were still uncertain about staying or leaving the last few hours to make up their minds.
Some members of the family were already determined to stay in Uzira and continue working to transform the continent and the entire planet into a home for the development of the family and fellow Spiritual World natives. Even with the risk of problems with members of the Hell, they wanted to stay and help, confident in their progress speed, but also in the means that Minos had built to help them.
Mylecent was going to stay on the continent for a while before returning to the Hell and at the level she was at, she could become as important an influence as Minos in not too long. At the same time, the Stuart family already had enough protection and escape mechanisms for them to spread out over several planets in the universe in the middle of a problematic situation. If everything went wrong for them, there would still be a chance for them to retreat, hide and wait for Minos to return on his last mission across the universe.
Because of all this, the last night of Minos and his women in Zocarro was a farewell for them, taking advantage of their last hours in this place to talk to the leaders and pillars that would be left behind.
Minos would take some time to talk to each of the Elders and the most important Hell Lifelings, securing some promises for those he thought deserved later opportunities. He didn't say that he would take them to the Upper Realm, as he had promised the Divine Dragon-who was accompanying him-and Jalai, who was in Oqia helping Kendrick. But he promised tips on how to reach the Upper Realm once he had succeeded, which was enough for the vast majority of cultivators in this universe.
For the rest, he and his wives focused on guiding them for one last time, giving them freedom on how to act, as long as they maintained the common goal of keeping Zocarro as the Stuart family's safe haven.
There was much to be done and Minos heard some of these plans, which would have the direct participation of those of his family who would be left behind.
At the end of the farewell event, he took his last hours in Zocarro to have some quality time with his four wives, but also some long-time 'friends' he would be leaving behind.
The next morning, while news of Mylecent's rise would still need time to finish spreading across the continent, he, his wives, the Divine Dragon, and a group of nine people said goodbye to those who would be left behind.
Of Minos' children, only Lily would follow him on this journey, along with some of his wives' relatives and the only one of his relatives to come on this journey, his aunt Angelica.
Looking at Hollie, his mother, and his grandfather, one of the many who had decided to stay, Minos smiled and gestured with one of his hands, standing near one of the cliffs in the area where his headquarters were. "Well, that's it. I'll see you again when it's time to open the way for those who choose to come to the Upper Realm with us. I wish you good luck with your cultivation journeys and plans. Whatever you choose, I will stand by you, always."
As they listened to him, looking at the group standing in the shape of a half-moon, with him in the center, the group felt the morning breeze blow against them, making them sigh in a strange feeling of tranquility. Not a cloud was in the sky at the moment, while the ambient temperature was pleasant, with small animals scurrying in the distance on the horizon.
No one said anything more than they already had when Minos raised one of his fists in the air and the surrounding energy and laws changed, reacting to the power of him and the item in his possession.
This time, the journey for them wouldn't have to be via the old route to Gunaway Refuge, followed by a passage through the Artificial Moon and then months or years of travel by spaceship. Having already calibrated and learned how to use the item Devdar had given him, Minos connected himself to it, manipulating the paths of the universe while defining his destiny.
Thinking of the world of the Divine Dragons, he identified the path, a journey that wouldn't be instantaneous, but instead of years of spaceship travel, would only cost him a few hours.
From the power of the artifact, beams of light appeared around the group, forming a distinguishable sphere until no one in the surrounding area could see what was inside this zone of space. The energy surrounding it increased tenfold, soon reaching a level where the pressure of itself made the group of onlookers recoil.
What was inside that sphere of light disappeared, leaving that position and moving on with its special path to the world of dragons. As soon as this was over, the distortions in the space-time fabric began to repair themselves, with the energy around the area losing what was keeping it concentrated in that zone, gradually reverting the surroundings to a normal state.
"They've gone." Hollie murmured as she felt all of her parents' auras disappear, while the space in front of her returned to normal.
"Impressive... And to think that Minos has reached the level of being able to travel between worlds without needing spaceships."
"He's now as strong as True Celestials."
"Still..."
"What now?" asked someone still not used to the idea that Minos would no longer be available to them.
First Elder Juma looked up at the stars in the pink sky of this world and said, "The guild's goal has always been to reach the Upper Realm. Supreme Leader Minos is close to achieving it, but we're still a long way off... Some of us are very far away, I'd say." He looked at the Sovereigns in the group. "Go back to your positions and duties. If you want to achieve the same as Supreme Leader Minos, work hard!"
After his words, Juma was one of the first to move, as determined or more so than most to strengthen himself and get his chance at immortality. For someone who had already died, as was his case, his sense of appreciation for what Minos was starting was even sharper than that of almost everyone else there.
But like him, most of these people wanted power. They wanted to see Minos again and not depend solely on the achievements of their Supreme Leader. With this farewell over, it was time for them to get back to hard work!
