The Third-Gen Chaebol Becomes a Genius Actor

Chapter 13.1

Chapter 13.1

Chapter 13.1

Yoo Yeon Seo got into the flashy sports car that even the passers-by stopped to admire.

[Sigh.]

Was this car the third? Kang Jin Hoo who was observing the memory, watched as the current Yoo Yeon Seo thought about the car's worth and remembered what his past self had done.

[Damn it… damn it!]

Yoo Yeon Seo suddenly slammed the steering wheel with his fist whilst staring intently ahead. The horn blared, and people nearby turned to the car.

[No one understands me!]

But Yoo Yeon Seo, who never cared about other people's gazes, continued to hit the steering wheel even harder. The bull emblem in the centre of the wheel looked particularly dull.

<Sensing danger to the body, ending memory synchronization.>

"What's wrong with this madman…"

Blood trickled from Yoo Yeon Seo's mouth as he spoke.

<Random memory synchronization completed, synchronization rate 7.38%>

And then he lost consciousness.

"This damn memory synchronization keeps showing me weirder memories as time goes on. Beta, did you collect only useless memories?"

<No.>

"Can't I just sync only the memories I need from the past, Beta?"

<Sorry. It is not yet possible to selectively sync specific memories. The ‘human' learning of complex emotions and vast memories is not yet complete.>

"Ah, so that's why the memory synchronization showed me a third-person perspective instead of a first-person perspective. " Yoo Yeon Seo nodded along.

When Beta's learning is complete, it will be able to search and synchronize only the useful memories. Until then, he would have to endure.

<I will try harder. Master.>

"Well, then, it can't be helped."

He had already adapted somewhat to the pain and blood. If he continued to synchronize his memories, he might be able to retrieve some relevant ones. As long as he didn't die from excessive bleeding…

Yoo Yeon Seo tried to stay optimistic as he opened the door to the practice room.

"Hello, teacher."

"Welcome, come in."

Park Hyun Jeong was sitting in the centre of the practice room, waiting for him.

Yoo Yeon Seo glanced at his wristwatch. He arrived ten minutes early, but Park Hyun Jeong had arrived even earlier.

"I came a little early. It seems like it will take quite a while to teach you, Yoo Yeon Seo."

Yoo Yeon Seo sat opposite Park Hyun Jeong,. When he offered her a vitamin drink he had bought from a vending machine, Park Hyun Jeong looked at him bewildered.

"Before we start the acting lesson… Do you know what's wrong with your acting, Yoo Yeon Seo?"

"What do you mean?"

"It's everything"

"Everything?"

Yoo Yeon Seo who had been taking a sip began to cough.

"Yes. I have chosen the worst acting you have done so far in that sense."

"Uh, Teacher, you don't have to do that…"

‘Weren't the previous Yoo Yeon Seo and the current Yoo Yeon Seo inherently different ?‘ He frantically waved his hands.

But Park Hyun Jeong thought Yoo Yeon Seo was doing this to avoid an embarrassing situation.

Park Hyun Jeong brought out the tablet pad she had prepared in advance. Yoo Yeon Seo pulled his head back but didn't look away from the screen.

(What are you doing now?)

(Do you want me to come to you? I'll do well.)

Wow, was this really a human dialogue? Yoo Yeon Seo felt some empathy, even though he was aware that he was now Yoo Yeon Seo. He watched Park Hyun Jeong's video to the end, trying to feel some connection with it.

It was as if he had a camera phobia. The acting was so stiff that he thought they must have been different works, but they were all performance for the same role.

Furthermore, the video itself was uploaded and edited by someone on MyTube. It was even called [Yoo Yeon-seo's Bad Acting Compilation Vol. 1]. That means there must be Volume 2 and Volume 3, right?

“Now, what do you think the problem is?”

‘Can't you see that my hand is trembling right now?' Yoo Yeon Seo let out a deep sigh.

"It's everything."

"Yes, that's right. Your breathing, your diction… even the post-production seems like a disaster, right?"

Based on the character she knew, she didn't think Yoo Yeon Seo had participated much in post-production. Yoo Yeon Seo silently lowered his head.

"Anyway, whether it's the physical movements or just the basics… It's just not there."

"…"

"Your vocalization is somewhat forgivable, but it's still not up to par with our expectations."

Despite being a former idol main vocalist, she had thought that Yoo Yeon Seo could do breath control. It's a relief that he can pick up at least one thing. Yoo Yeon Seo felt ashamed for something he didn't even do.

When Park Hyun Jeong abruptly stood up, Yoo Yeon Seo stood up as well. He fixed his gaze on Park Hyun Jeong as they stood in front of a huge mirror as if they were in a dance practice room.

"Alright, let's start the class in earnest. First, let's do some stretching."

"Stretching?"

Yeon Seo dumbfoundedly echoed.

"You've never taken an acting lesson before?"

Park Hyun Jeong's eyes sharpened. Although her tone was somewhat critical, she didn't think badly of him. Despite rumours of his poor personality, she knew that Yeon Seo was giving new opportunities to rookie writers, directors, and actors ever since Yeon Seo started his acting career.

"Well… no."

"Before we start physical training, we need to warm up. Walking is a basic skill in acting."

Park Hyun Jeong felt that the road ahead was bleak, but valued Yeon Seo's determination to learn.

‘I see. It's not just about reading the script and practising.'

The acting lesson was different from what Yeon Seo had imagined. He realized that there was a lot of training needed in stretching, walking, and even breathing.

‘I have to work hard.'

He followed Park Hyun Jeong and stretched his hand upwards. They still had plenty of time before the project started.

The man who received the phone call with a triumphant gesture shouted loudly as soon as he hung up.

"Woo hoo! It worked! We got him!"

"What?!"

"Yoo Yeon Seo agreed to star in our movie!"

"Really?!"

The two burly men hugged each other and cheered loudly. They were classmates from the same university who were still struggling to make their debut in the film industry.

Having sent their script to production companies and waited around for a breakthrough, they gladly accepted the lifeline that Yoo Yeon Seo had thrown their way.
