The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 76 - The Wedding Dance

Chapter 76 - The Wedding Dance

The wedding ended not like it began-- with vigor and spree. After Zhenyi was almost shot at the altar, Xin Yichen and Long Shaoming did everything to keep the matter under their control. They knew there would be gossips, but they'd also do their best to bury them – as they always did.

Soon after, Long Jie left with Zhenyi. But Zhenyi felt something was wrong. They were supposed to reside in the Long Mansion after marriage but he insisted on taking her to his home -- Rose Villa. Obviously, Long Shaoming was displeased with his son's decision but he chose not to say anything.

Someone tried to kill his newly bride, his hostility was justified.

A thought flashed into her mind. His mother and grandfather.

They wore long faces throughout the wedding. Zhenyi was aware of the fact that her mother-in-law didn't like her, given her history with Zhenyi's mother. Not that her estranged relationship with her mother-in-law mattered to her.

But what surprised her, was Long Yuhan's attitude towards Long Jie. They didn't see each other eye to eye. No wonder, her grandfather never liked the old man.

They could grumble and judge all they wanted to. But if they dared to belittle her position in his life, they would suffer her wrath.

She was Long Jie's wife. Her position as the madam of the house was not to be trifled with.

But one thing was sure-- her marital life wouldn't be as bland as she thought.

Long Jie saw his wife lying on the couch; deep in her thoughts. She was mentally and physically exhausted, her feet were aching more than ever, her head was killing and the wedding gown was almost suffocating her.

The wedding had tired her out. It was exhausting to plan the wedding in such a short time. Moreover, he had requested not to question him about it. So, she didn't ask him anything regarding the wedding date.

Long Jie saw her feet and sighed. He kneeled on the floor to take off her sandals. Stupid girl. Her feet were swollen.

"Mmmmmm..."She groaned as he gently massaged her feet. " It feels so good now."

"Then why are you torturing yourself with these heels?" He asked as she squinted her eyes. "Besides, you don't need heels."

She was a tall woman and didn't need such high heels. As he said, she was stupid and crazy. She kept surprising him with her stupidity.

"Beauty comes at a price, husband." She replied back. "Apparently my throbbing feet are the price. "

Ouch. They hurt like hell.

"Don't wear them more often." He rubbed her feet.

"Already ordering?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

Huh...

No doubt, she was crazy.

He massaged her feet for few minutes.

After few minutes, music began playing. She looked towards the source of the music and then he appeared before her; put his hand before her.

"I owe you a dance, wife." He whispered, a smile blooming on his lips.

She narrowed her eyes at him. What was he planning now?

"I do?" She decided to play along and leaned ahead. Two could play a game.

"Dance with me," he said in a low voice in her ear. She swallowed, his lips almost brushing her ear.

'Fine you win. Bloody seducer.'

"May I have this dance, wife?" He asked again.

"Sure, husband." She answered him by giving her hand to him.

John Legend's beautiful voice was ringing in the room. He curled his hand around her waist and her left hand came to his shoulder. He guided her through the rhythm.

''Cause all of me

Loves all of you

Love your curves and all your edges

All your perfect imperfections."

His hand wandered around her back; almost caressing it. She could feel his touch through the lace.

She hitched in a breath when she heard his raspy voice. "You looked so beautiful today."

"Just beautiful?" She managed to appear calm even when ripples were surging in the pit of her stomach.

"Hmmm?" He smiled into her hair. Someone was fishing for compliments.

"Miser. Hmmmph." She huffed as swayed in his arms. "I was poked, pricked, and waxed for hours and all I get to hear is ' beautiful '. I almost regret marrying you."

Twirl.

"How many times do I have to tell you

Even when you're crying you're beautiful too

The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood.

You're my downfall, you're my muse

My worst distraction, my rhythm, and blues

I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you."

"Nice song." She grumbled and he laughed.

Seemed like heaven was on his side.

"Look at you, so cute when you are sulking." He teased her.

"Ouch." She stomped on his foot. "Thank God, you are not wearing those heels."

"You dared to call me cute?" She glared at him."I should have stomped on your feet with my heels."

Dip.

He leaned over and kissed her nose.

And then the song changed.

Perfect.
