Chapter 97 - Overwhelming Auras! And A New Test?!

Chapter 97 - Overwhelming Auras! And A New Test?!

-----

As Noah and the rest went back to the Military School, Noah checked his System Notifications.

Ding!

[You have successfully evolved into a [Level III: Noble-Born Vampire Viscount]

[Attribute Value Bonus Earned]

[Skill Proficiency Level Bonus Earned]

[The [Vampiric Eyes of Hypnosis: 100 (C)] Skill has awakened into the [Vampiric Evil Eyes of Hypnosis and Stupefaction: 1 (B)] Skill!]

Noah had gained a good amount of bonus stats, alongside one of his Skills reaching max proficiency and awakening!

The new version of Vampiric Eyes of Hypnosis was Vampiric Evil Eyes of Hypnosis and Stupefaction, which had an even greater power of hypnotizing, confusing, or attacking the minds of his enemies.

Perhaps now he could finally be capable of affecting people with strong wills, albeit the Skill was still not all-powerful, and held its limitations to what it could do.

It was not as if he would be able to win every fight using the Skill now, but the Skill served as good support.

After checking the new Awakened Skill, Noah glanced at his Current Attribute Panel.

"This evolution brought me a good amount of Attribute Values and Bonus Skill Proficiency. I am rather satisfied… Perhaps Dungeon Diving will become swifter as I gather Blood Servants from now on… Despite that, I still believe that fighting Bosses will not be completely easy…" thought Noah.

Noah's group entered the school and got into the second classes, as they were not able to attend the first ones.

The moment they entered nothing seemed out of the ordinary, although some people noticed that they had not come in the morning, no one seemed to say anything.

However, that was merely on the surface.

Most of the students…

Noticed it.

Noah…

No, not only Noah but his entire group.

The presence they indirectly let out of their bodies, the very residual presence of the true power they were suppressing to not awake suspiciousness…

The various student felt it.

The power of sleeping beasts.

If Emerald were here, he would have been yelling at Noah that he was a monster and trying to tell everyone thanks to his Danger Detection Skill going crazy.

But these people did not have such a power, and although they could feel that something deep within them was slumbering… it was not as if they had proof or anything.

But even then.

It was certainly frightening.

Even Fernand Firebrand and his thugs glanced at Noah with awe…

Even the teacher, who was D-Rank, noticed it.

Noah and his group were indeed… something different.

Their presence, and the power exuding from them…

An Aura of Scarlet Red.

Of beastly and insatiable bloodlust.

Not only this was produced by their C-Rank power, but also due to their evolutions and incredibly high ranked Skills, which they had in high numbers.

Were these people even needed to stay in school anymore?

Certainly, Noah planned to leave it whenever he had the chance, at B-Rank.

But for now, he and his group remained silent as they glanced at the teacher start the classes…

Fernand and his thugs began to consider that perhaps… they should not mess around with Noah anymore.

An instinctual fear arose in their very existence.

Something deep and abyssal came from Noah and his group…

Noah noticed that some of the students were glaring at him and his group.

"Indeed. Being C-Rank and having evolved had made our power too big, even by suppressing it, others can still see its residual aura…" sighed Noah through telepathy.

"Isn't this bad? We might get caught!" said Arthur.

"…Or it could be a good thing too. They seem afraid. If they are afraid, they might not mess up with us anymore. Unlike Emerald, no one here has such a convenient skill as Danger Detection to have some kind of foresight over the power we have…" said Iris.

"True… This might benefit us instead of being a bad thing…" said Timassa.

As Noah's group chatted freely through their telepathy, the teacher began to talk about a new test…

"Ahem, as I mentioned yesterday, today there will be a new test inside a Dungeon, similar to the one we had previously. However, there are new rules that the director had made… as he wanted everyone to get a bit more… competitive…" said the teacher, glaring at Noah as he swallowed saliva, he could not even understand what was making him so afraid, yet he felt fear for his mere presence in the classroom…

"New rules?"

"What does that mean?"

"More competitive…"

"More competitive?! Do they want us to kill each other or something?"

"Fufu, that sounds fun!"

"Oi, don't joke around that…!"

"Well, we can always beat up each other to decide who wins, right?"

"I don't like the sound of that…"

"But rules are rules! Do not worry, haha. You're part of my party!"

"I don't know… I don't want to participate…"

"I am… strangely… I don't know… afraid?"

"Hm…"

"Y-Yeah… there is something weird in the air today…"

The classroom was filled with students talking about many things, some were excited while others are afraid.

Many of them did not understand where that strange feeling of dread came from within the classroom, some of the weaker students were even quivering.

"To incentivize your growth and also competitiveness. There are new rules. One of the first ones is that there will be a certain limited amount of "Treasures" that you need to collect and fight to acquire. Any group that manages to obtain five Treasures and escapes the Dungeon will receive the highest Grade… There are only 15 Treasures, and groups can only be up to 6 people. These Treasures are high Ranked Gear, which you can keep," said the teacher, as all the students began to chat and to show their complaints.

This test was indeed very unfair!

There were over 30 students, how all groups could get the highest score?

Indeed, it was incredibly unfair!

Only three groups could get a perfect score!

And that was if actually, they were able to collect all five treasures…

Conflict and fights were imminent.

This entire test was made for students to fight against each other!

Noah released a mild smile.

All the students were now weaker than him, and if he wanted, he could literally crush them like ants.

Oh, how the tables have turned…

He was incredibly excited…

And all of his party were a bit afraid of his excitement…

"N-Noah is about to do something crazy again…" sighed Arthur.

"Make sure to not kill that many people… You said that we had to lay low, didn't you?" asked Iris.

Then, Noah calmed down and suppressed his feelings of bloodlust, which had the whole classroom quivering!

"Right. I had forgotten. We have to lay low. Let's just gather 5 treasures and then we are done," said Noah, he didn't want any conflicts…

But if they were inside a dungeon where no teachers were around…

Like many times before, he could… perhaps kill some…

And then… raise them as Blood Servants.

However, this malicious thought was suppressed, and Noah would result in violence only when the students came directly to harm him or his subordinates.

There were also a few students from prestigious Families similar to the Crystal Family, and he thought that it might be better to not kill those IF possible… as he did not want to add more threats to his future.

For example, if Fernand Firebrand showed up, he would probably knock him out, steal everything he had, and then leave him alive.

Thankfully, Noah had investigated several of his student's families before even becoming a Vampire, and knew which ones should not be killed and which others were free to slaughter…
