Chapter 2566  Obsessed With Each Other

'Is Daoist Kunyan betraying the Withered Spirit Daoist, perhaps?' Lin Mu wondered as he watched on.

"She did just what you said she would," Daoist Kunyan spoke.

~SIGH~

"Senior Sister is still the same," Celestial Pyung let out a sigh. "Looks like I'll have to help get rid of her obsession this time," he added.

"Why are you going this far?" Daoist Kunyan asked. "You have no reason nor benefit to do this. Plus, she's someone who wishes ill for you, and even our liege is not on good terms with your faction." The man was certainly as confused as Lin Mu.

"It's complicated," Celestial Pyung replied with a slight smile. "Perhaps I would not have been here if it were not for Senior Sister. If we had not competed all those years, and I was alone, I would have taken the spot she did and come under the servitude of your liege as well.

It would have severely limited my path. But Senior Sister chose to take that in order to not offend him and let me have my own path. It is her choices that allowed me to become a True Celestial," he explained.

"You… to go this far." Daoist Kunyan couldn't help but feel that the man was almost as crazy as the Withered Spirit Daoist. 'He is also dumb. How does it make sense that you became a Celestial because she was being selfish?' the man thought.

Even Lin Mu could tell that there was some major misunderstanding at play here.

But he watched further before making any conclusions about it.

"I'll do what I must. If Senior Sister wants to become a True Celestial, I'll help her," Celestial Pyung stated.

"Fine. If you want to be insane, who am I to stop you?" Daoist Kunyan couldn't help but laugh at the man.

But at the same time, he felt amused and wondered if the man could really do anything. He had heard the Withered Spirit Daoist's plan and knew she wished to split her soul multiple times so that she could bypass the restriction of the Immortal Realm.

It was an insane plan that wouldn't work if not for the fact that her true soul was being safeguarded by their liege.

If this were any other Celestial doing this, they would likely die.

They would simply be wasting all they had gained in their life in order to attempt this. But the Withered Spirit Daoist's obsession was simply on another level. It made Daoist Kunyan amused, and he wondered how far she would be able to go and how much the Celestial would be able to help her with.

With that done, the man helped the Celestial and informed him where her soul fragments would be going.

Celestial Pyung then seemingly went to the Immortal Realm after obtaining permission.

But by the time he actually reached there, it had already been several thousand years, and the Withered Spirit Daoist had already failed twice.

Daoist Pyung got to know of her horrible actions and started to feel a bit of regret. He didn't like what she had become and how she had killed so many beings for her own greed.

He changed his original plan a bit, hoping that he might be able to bring the Withered Spirit Daoist back on track. He went to the Bridge Plane, which had long since been abandoned, and took control over it. He refined it into a Celestial Treasure and put everything that he had on him as a reward.

But he didn't stop at that. He went even further and connected the Bridge Plane's arrays with another storage space that was located in an unknown location.

Lin Mu, who saw this, was intrigued as it was a level of Spatial Array he had never seen before.

"Is that where the other rewards such as the Heaven Silencing Seal came from?" Lin Mu wondered.

There was also the Immortal Paragon Ring, the ownership of which was still unknown. At first, Lin Mu had wondered if it belonged to Celestial Pyung, but it was clear that he had never been its original owner.

He continued to observe as the man set up the rewards until he saw something that caught his eye.

"I hope that whoever finds it next will be fortunate, just like me," Celestial Pyung muttered as he put in a familiar ring among the rewards.

"That's the Immortal Paragon Ring!" Lin Mu spotted it directly this time.

He also listened to the man's words and realized that while the ring didn't belong to him, it had certainly been used by him once.

'Was that his fortunate encounter?' Lin Mu wondered if the Immortal Paragon Ring was how Pyung had managed to become a Celestial.

Of course, Lin Mu didn't know what kind of True Celestial the man was, but his words seemed to indicate that he was not an Ordained Celestial but rather a Nurtured Celestial.

'Did the man make use of the resources that one could obtain with the Immortal Paragon Ring? And if so, how was there a Celestial Fruit in it?' Lin Mu couldn't help but wonder.

After all, if there was a Celestial Treasure, it made sense for the owner to use it for themselves rather than let someone else obtain it. And even if they didn't need it, they could very well keep it for their friends or family.

The stream of memories came to an end there, and Lin Mu found himself feeling both amazed and rather surprised about the events of the past.

"To think both of them were involved this much," Lin Mu muttered to himself. "But why did Celestial Pyung add the link to another spatial storage? Did someone tell him to add the Heaven Silencing Seal to it?" This was the part that made Lin Mu the most confused.

The Heaven Silencing Seal's value and power were great and almost unthinkable. Thus, whoever could have given it to the man was certainly not simple.
