Chapter 2604  Brothers And Choice Of Sword Dao Embryo

Lin Mu didn't mind the Crown Prince's teasing as he knew it was just all in good faith. Though he did wonder a bit about why the Mei Clan's people had come to the Crown Prince for this.

"Did they ask you to give them the hall?" Lin Mu wondered if their standing was high enough to demand that especially for the Crown Prince's personally palace too.

Even if the Mei clan was highly ranked, there was still a difference between them and the Imperial Clan.

"Well yeah, I can't really reject her." Crown Prince Feng Shun replied. "The Matriarch Mei's younger sister is also one of the concubines of my father." He explained.

"Ah, no wonder." Lin Mu remembered that the Imperial Feng Clan often married with other major clans and powers to further their position.

Plus the other clans were also looking to make connections with them and thus the demand was actually quite high.

"Additionally I'm supposed to marry someone from the Mei clan in the future too." Crown Prince Feng Shun added.

"Really, Who?" Lin Mu asked.

"Well I don't know yet. But we'll probably pick in a few years, they've offered a marriage alliance to me a while back when it was discovered that I had the Lightning elemental affinity." Crown Prince Feng Shun answered.

With the requirements for the Mei clan needing a Yang elemental male Crown Prince Feng Shun was the most ideal choice.

"Well, hey if you get a wife from the Mei clan as well, we'll be brothers-in-law." Crown Prince Feng Shun laughed.

"Aren't we brother's already?" Lin Mu said with a smile.

"Of course!" Crown Prince Feng Shun said while hugging Lin Mu's shoulder.

With how the tribulations they had gone through together, their relationship was already close enough. In fact, now that Lin Mu thought of it, he had spent more time with this group of friends than his entire life in the Xiaofan world.

Though it was a place he still missed and wished to visit it sometime.

'Wonder how much energy the Four Faceted Nebula will need to do it.' Lin Mu thought to himself.

He had learned that the Four Faceted Nebula could accumulate Spatial energy on its own over time, but it was a slow process. Lin Mo had only been able to activate it forcefully due to the sheer number of souls he had absorbed.

Lin Mu later returned to his courtyard to rest for a while and cultivate till Ziran and Monk Hushu were to arrive. The two had pretty much finished their work and were just heading back with the Teleportation array.

Thankfully now that the world had stabilized and the Spatial Lock was lifted, they didn't have to take the long route through the ocean.

The time passed rather quickly for Lin Mu and he simply spent it training more with the Saintess.

His Cloud Dragon Stride had improved and finally reached a point where only steady accumulation would allow him to progress. But this was still a massive thing for him since most took centuries to reach this point or more.

But with the Saintess's expert guidance it had been cut short by 99%.

"At this point you might have to form a Cloud Dao Embryo to progress." The Saintess advised.

"Another Dao Embryo… Hmm, this will need to come later. I still have other Dao Embryo's I haven't formed yet." Lin Mu had quite a few in his list.

"Which ones do you wish to form?" The Saintess inquired.

"Well, I want to make a Sword Dao Embryo next. It has been a long time pending and I think I am finally at that point where I can form it. Though I don't know why I feel like there is something missing." Lin Mu expressed his doubts.

"The Sword Dao is a bit of a complex Dao even if it is one of the more common one's that cultivators pursue. Your compression of the Sword Intent is already very high and you've been using the Sword for a long time too.

As such the only thing I can think of that is restraining you is the Form of your Sword Dao Embryo." The Saintess replied. "Have you thought of what you wish to make?" she inquired.

"Not exactly… I have certainly researched the different ones but picking from them is hard." Lin Mu had several that he found attractive, but picking from one of them was hard.

This was one of the caveats of making a Dao Embryo. While a cultivator could have multiple Dao Embryos, they were still limited to one for each Dao maximum.

A Dao Embryo was ultimately a connection between the cultivator and the Dao it belonged to. Trying to add another Dao Embryo of the same type was similar to trying to jam a plug into a socket that was already occupied.

Forcing it would only lead to damage.

As such one had to be careful in choosing what to make.

Of course this was a very privileged thing to be worried about, as the majority would only be able to make a single type of Dao Embryo and they almost never had a choice.

"Perhaps you have to leave it to fate. Somethings go better when you let them happen naturally." The Saintess suggested.

"I'll keep that in mind." Lin Mu nodded.

~SCREAMS~

But just as he was talking about this, a mix of screams could be heard coming from the distance. This made Lin Mu alert as the courtyard was away from the streets and other residential area.

As such for the screams to reach this far meant that it was from a lot of people screaming at once.

"What's happening?" Lin Mu stood up as he spread his Immortal Sense.

The Saintess furrowed her brows and honed her senses, hearing all that was happening in the distance.

"Oh? Looks like you should go take a look." The Saintess spoke. "Your half elf friend seems to be in a bit of a trouble." She added.
