59 Have You Taken Your Medicine?
Gu Xici glanced at her and didn’t say anything. On the other hand, Lu Qinshang smiled. “If you’re so concerned about your Director Jiang, why don’t you go up yourself, Warrior Song!”
The word ‘warrior’ was filled with mockery.
Song Qin looked upstairs again and immediately admitted defeat. “I’ll get you some water.”
She suddenly realized that it wasn’t so easy to be Director Jiang’s assistant!
!!
Fifteen minutes later, Shen Zhiwei walked into the Jiang family’s villa. She was not surprised to see the mess on the ground.
Song Qin immediately went forward. “Doctor Shen?”
Shen Zhiwei nodded. “How is Director Jiang?”
“He is in his study upstairs.” Song Qin pointed up.
“Thank you.” Shen Zhiwei stepped on her high heels, avoiding the debris on the ground, and went upstairs.
Although she saw the two men sitting in the living room from the corner of her eye, she was worried about Jiang Yanshen’s condition and wasn’t in the mood to greet them.
Lu Qinshang saw Shen Zhiwei’s face clearly and could not help but praise her looks. “I heard from Lu Yuan that Ah Yan’s psychiatrist is beautiful. I didn’t expect her to be so beautiful. It’s just that she’s dressed too old-fashioned…”
He liked to see women wearing dresses that revealed their enchanting figures.
Gu Xici retracted his attention from the staircase and glanced back. “Superficial…”
Lu Qinshang’s smile was annoying. “Yes, yes, yes. I’m shallow and you’re noble! Captain Gu is the noblest in the world.”
Gu Xici couldn’t be bothered with him and looked at the staircase again…
Shen Zhiwei walked to the door of the study and knocked on the wooden door with her fair fingers. “Director Jiang, it’s me.”
The study was silent. No one responded to her.
She knocked twice more, but there was still no response. “Director Jiang, I’m coming in.”
The door was unlocked. She slowly pushed it open and was greeted by a mess.
Books were scattered on the floor, the coffee table was overturned, the desk fell apart, and the computer was shattered. The man was sitting in a corner of the wall, his hands covered in blood, and his eyes were bloodshot. His face was pale, and his forehead was covered in sweat. His expression was painful and terrifying.
Shen Zhiwei closed the door and walked forward with a serious expression. “Have you taken your medicine?”
The man raised his long eyelashes and glanced at her coldly without saying anything.
Shen Zhiwei’s sharp eyes saw the medicine bottle beside her. She picked it up and realized that it was empty. “Why didn’t you tell me when you finished the medicine?”
She frowned, her tone filled with dissatisfaction. “Don’t you know that your situation is very special?”
Fortunately, she had brought more of the medicine before she came.
Shen Zhiwei took out a medicine bottle from her handbag, poured out a white pill, and handed it to him.
Jiang Yanshen raised his arm, his hand trembling uncontrollably as he took the medicine. His Adam’s apple bobbed a few times, and he swallowed the pill without drinking any water. His long eyelashes, which were wet with sweat, drooped, and his eyes closed, like an exhausted beast.
Shen Zhiwei said, “The medicine can only suppress it for the time being. You won’t be able to suppress it for long.”
Jiang Yanshen closed his eyes as if he didn’t hear her and Shen Zhiwei didn’t say anything else. The room was terrifyingly quiet for a moment, and only the sound of his breathing could be heard.
After an unknown period of time, when Shen Zhiwei’s legs were numb from squatting, Jiang Yanshen slowly opened his eyes. Most of the red blood vessels in his eyes had faded, and his deep voice sounded indifferent. “Go and make the arrangements.”
“Okay.” Shen Zhiwei said as she left the medicine bottle to him. She then rubbed her numb leg, got up, and limped out like a cripple.
Jiang Yanshen slowly spread out his left hand. In his palm lay a silver ring that was stained with mottled blood. The sparkle reflecting from it was almost strange.
His thin lips slowly curled up, and his cold smile was filled with deep meaning.
