Chapter 146: Debt Of Life.

Inside the gathering hall of the Chen family now stood Chen Qianbei, the matriarch of the family. Chen Shaoyang, the first elder of the family, Chen Moqian, the second elder of the family, Chen Longxue, the third elder of the family. Apart from them, a lady with brown hair and slightly tanned skin was also present. They all had painful expressions on their faces. Their eyes were focused on Chen Kong, who was surrounded by flying ice shards. You Zhichi took over subduing this guy as Maya was still a young beast and her power was not strong enough to be used for prolonged periods. 

You Xi Wang stood at the side with his sister. His gaze was trained at Chen Kong. Not even for a second did he take it off of him. The family elders were discussing how to deal with this guy when the space in the center of the gathering hall twisted. It twisted, and a figure walked out of it. The elders were shocked as they knew that people who can tear apart space were all Nirvana rebirth realm experts. They stood at the pinnacle of this world as the people in higher levels would not appear to deal with the mortal matters until it was necessary. 

You Xi Wang bowed to the man and said, "Disciple has seen master."

Alester Book nodded to him with a light smile on his face. He waved his hand slightly, gesturing You Xi Wang to stand up. You Xi Wang bowed to this man because of the respect he had for him. During the raid last time, he saw You Xi Wang getting hurt and immediately took action. This was a great favor for the whole family and You Xi Wang acknowledged it. 

Alester Book glanced at Chen Kong and his gaze turned cold. He waved his hand and the level-one emblem on his uniform flew off. The emblem landed straight on Alester Book's palm. He then turned to face the Chen Family elders. Before he could say anything, all five people bowed to him and said, "Junior has seen senior."

Alester Book nodded and said, "I have taken away his privilege of a level one executioner. His identity was discovered by You Xi Wang, so he is left to be dealt with by him. I understand how painful it might be to see him like this. He is still in the initial stages and for him to turn come back from this road of peril. But the risk is very great as well. You might know it, right?"

The elders nodded in understanding. You Xi Wang asked, "Master, do you mean that he can come back from the path of darkness?"

Alester Book nodded and said, "In the Imperial Sector where the Council Headquarters is located. There is a special area. It is operated by the long lost religion of our planet, the Solidarity Monks. Their ways are a mystery to us even now. They have some methods to purify the dark thoughts and allow the person to return to righteousness." 

You Xi Wang lost his calm for a second and then asked, "Master, what is this risk you speak of?"

Alester Book answered him patiently, "If the process is unsuccessful then the subject will lose himself to darkness and will be killed by the monks. But even if the process is successful, the subject will have to live in that area for his whole life without contacting the outside world."

You Xi Wang fell silent. He looked at the elders, who were confused about what to do. If they sent Chen Kong away, it would be like he is dead even if he is successful in repenting his ways. You Xi Wang glanced at his sister, who shook her head slightly. He knew now that killing Chen Kong would not be possible. He was also aware of the price this decision would cost him. He closed his eyes and sighed.

He spoke, "Big sis, put away your spell." his words attracted everyone's attention. You Xi Wang's figure flashed, and he appeared next to Chen Kong. He balled his fist and punched straight at his lower jaw. Chen Kong was not ready for this attack and his jaw broke. Though it can be cured later. The pain was unbearable. You Xi Wang moved quickly and tapped his acupressure points. This action sealed Chen Kong's cultivation. You Xi Wang took a healing pill and with a reluctant smile, he fed it to Chen Kong. This was an inferior grade pill, only capable of healing Chen Kong's injured ankle and easing the pain in his broken jaw. 

Everyone was confused by his actions. You Xi Wang spoke, "To be honest, the moment you insulted my mother I wanted to rip off your skin inch by inch. I wanted you to die so brutally that your soul would have shivered by just remembering the scene when you travel down the hell. Look at the faces of your elders standing there. Do you see the grief on their faces? Do you still think that they do not love you? Look at your grandfather, look at how you have weakened him in just a few minutes. Are you proud now? Have you ever thought about what will your parents think when they look at you from the heavens? No, you haven't because you are enjoying being the insect in the gutters of darkness. Do you think darkness gave you power? You, piece of shit, if you were sincere with your practice the result would have been twice better, but no you had to feel insecure. You called me trash. You Xi Wang was panting by the time he finished speaking. He caught his breath and looked at the man sprawled on the floor, looking at him in surprise. You look at those people there and tell me if the love in those eyes decreased even a bit? You turned into a dark insect and they still love you, then tell me why should they not love my mother who was known as the gentlest person? Are you worthy? Your life is something I give you as I gave charity. You owe me a debt of life. So you better pay it or I will come and send you to visit Yama." during the monologue You Xi Wang noticed a trace of sadness and regret flicker inside Chen Kong's eyes. That is why he emphasized the last words. He raised his head to the elders of the family and said, "You can decide what to do with him." then you looked at Alester Book and said, "Master, can I go first? I want to meet my grandma." his expression was tired, so Alester Book nodded and allowed him to leave. 

You Xi Wang walked towards the door looking exhausted and You Zhichi also caught up to him after bowing to the elders and Alester Book. She held her brother's hand as they walked out and Maya ran after them, but not before growling and Chen Kong. The door closed after the two people left the door. 

Chen Longxue spoke in a deep voice, "It was Xiao Wang's virtue that he spared this guy. I give you all ten breaths to decide what to do with him or I will first kill him and then kill myself." his words were firm and his expression was pained.josei

Kelly wanted to speak, but she was stopped by her husband. Chen Kong groaned and crawled a little towards Alester Book. The latter waved his arm and with a click sound, the broken jaw was connected. It was not perfect, but still allowed Chen Kong to speak.

"I will repent. Please give me a chance. I know that I was wrong. Grandpa, please allow me to repent for my sins." tears flowed from his eyes. Alester Book saw this and a slight smile appeared on his face. He raised his head and nodded to the Chen family elders. They all communicated with the soul sense. The content was that Chen Kong really is regretful and he should be able to repent his sins. 

Chen Qianbei looked at the other elders. They all nodded, and she said, "Chen Kong, you are given a second chance. But after this, you may not interfere in the ways of the secular world. This means that you can no longer be the master of the family. Do you accept this condition?" her demeanor was cold.

Chen Kong nodded as he kept crying. He wanted to hug his grandparents and cry his heart out for misunderstanding them and ruining the beautiful life he had, but he was not given a choice. Alester Book said, "I have been here a long time. I need to rush back. Waiting for the council to send people to escort him would be wasteful. How about I escort him there personally? That is if you don't mind."

The elders looked at Chen Longxue, who was gazing at his grandson. Chen Longxue spoke in a low voice, "I will trouble senior then."

Alester Book nodded. He allowed Chen Kong to say goodbye to his family and stood on the side quietly. Chen Kong hugged his grandparents apologized to everyone and finally, after a kowtow he surrendered to Alester Book. the old man waved his hand and the space cracked. The old man held Chen Kong and stepped inside the space crack. They vanished from the hall. The hall was then filled with sighs.
