Chapter 272: Igniting the darkness (2)

Yang Dao started speaking. He wanted to wake up Lilian with not much of an interference. Lilian was a senior and the darkness inside her was too strong. If the boy tried to meddle too much it will be a problem for him. There was a risk for the dark energy to start destroying Lilian's body from inside using the laws of darkness. 

He did not want that to happen. He was trying to save the lady not kill her. Only when she is awake can she drive away from the darkness from inside her body completely. You Xi Wang asked, "How can you sleep before your task is complete? Wake up there are people who await your return. Wake up, do you not hate yourself falling weak in front of the darkness? Stand up, only you can avenge yourself." 

He spotted Lilian's eyes flicker, so he eased up. After a few moments, the flickering was getting stronger, so You Xi Wang spoke, "Senior, none has forgotten your sacrifice. They all remember how much you gave up for the sake of humanity. Just wake up once and then you can rest, we youngsters will bear the torch now. We will complete the task you picked. Just stand up once, senior." his voice was soft and warm. 

It was as if a stream of warm water washing over an ice block, slowly cracking and melting it. Lilian's soul avatar opened her eyes. Even when her soul avatar fell asleep it did not vanish. She gazed at the young boy in front of her. She said, "Are you the one who was talking earlier?" her voice was mellow.

You Xi Wang nodded and bowed a bit to greet her. He said, "Welcome back, Senior."

Lilian said, "What welcome? I do not know how to deal with this dark mess. Until even a particle is inside, it will overwhelm me." her tone was helpless. 

The boy smiled and said, "Senior, focus and do not give up. Now I will channel my spirit energy to you. I will then purify this dark energy inside you." his words shocked the lady she did not expect him to take such a risk.

While he was channeling his spiritual energy inside her, at the same time the dark energy inside her can evade his body as well. She was moved that this child was willing to take such a risk for her again and again. Although her soul avatar was asleep. She was sure that he was the one who guided her earlier as well. 

You Xi Wang smiled as he calmed his mind. His body emitted a spirit energy rope. The rope materialized in the air and everyone on the outside could see the golden rope. They all sucked in a cold gasp a breath when they understood what he wanted to do. Yuki was as anxious as an ant on the stove. 

The spirit energy inside him became a rope then, the rope wrapped around Lilian's body but did to affect her. He separated the spirit energy into fine needles inserting inside every pore present in the body. He left only the nasal cavity to stay open. He was very meticulous, and as the needles moved inside her meridians.

The system was boosting You Xi Wang's control and the needles did not hurt Lilian at all. The physical body was infiltrated by the dark energy. The boy first had to clear that to get inside the soul sea. The dark energy has infiltrated to such a limit that the internal organs except for the heart were all covered with it.

The hoy spirit energy evaporated the dark energy with ease. After clearing the meridians, You Xi Wang shifted his attention to the organs of the lady. This was a difficult part. You Xi Wang spoke inside the soul sea, "Senior, I apologize in advance but it will be painful."

Lilian chuckled, "I have been in pain for 98 years. Come on. I can take it."

You Xi Wang felt upset in his heart and started to clean up the organs. The process needed him to invade the dry organs with his spirit energy and wash them through. It may seem easy but the pain was too much. He started with the lungs, then intestines, followed by kidneys and in the end liver, pancreas, stomach, and gall bladder. 

His forehead was now glazed with sweat. If not for the fact that, battle suits keep your body perfectly moistened his suit would have been filled with sweat on the inside. He was almost drained at this moment. He controlled the spirit energy to move towards the soul sea. But he stopped just before entering it. 

He said, "Senior, I will now enter your soul sea. Please lend me a hand." he was tired and could not get inside without her help. She had a strong defense erected after the dark energy inside gained sentience. That is when it started to try and eradicate her consciousness.

Lilian spoke, "Very Well." she took a deep breath and let go of the restraint on her soul sea. You Xi Wang had a soul force barrier around her soul sea to stop the dark energy from eloping. This dark energy inside had a consciousness of its own. Thankfully it was not inside Lilian for 100 years.

Every 100 years spirit energy inside a person will gain a qualitative change. If there is another sort of energy inside the body, that will gain sentience as well. At this moment the dark energy was as strong as that of a teenager. But It will grow into an elder's in just two more years. Don't underestimate it. Even something as wise as a newborn can make people go mad and succumb to the darkness in just a few moments. 

You Xi Wang, used his spirit energy to infiltrate the soul sea of Lilian and the dark energy started to protest. But it was helpless in front of the holy spirit. It was the bane of dark creatures. The young god of war was not going to be easy on such a parasite as well. He started to refine the dark energy slowly and smoothly. 

Lilian was not sitting ideally she used her strength to push the dark energy towards the holy spirit wisp. The system spoke, [The efficiency is low. Let me help.]

You Xi Wang had no qualms about that. The system moved the spirit energy inside Lilian's soul sea in such a manner that a twister was created. It did suck all the dark energy towards it but it did not hurt Lilian in any manner.

Animo Albus gazed at the boy sitting on the ground covered in sweat. Then she gazed at the lady some distance away from You Xi Wang. The lady's complexion has now improved and a constant stream of black smoke was visible coming out of her nose. Animo sighed and said, "This freak pulled it off. Just a little more and things will be fine."

Victoria nodded. Suddenly the ground tremored. They all focused on the source of the tremor. Before Victoria could pass on a command. She heard a loud shout, "SQUAD UP. RETREAT TWENTY METERS MAINTAIN FORMATION."

The squad replied, "AYE."

They saw the whole squad form a circle and move back. The command was issued by Fenny. Just as the squad moved back to the point of command, in their previous spot the ground cracked and a lot of bugs swarmed out.

Fenny spat, "Grade two alert, Fire at will."

The squad started to rain down phaser beams on the small crevice. Maddison asked Fenny through the comms, "What is this?"

Fenny replied, "Dark trash calling for help. Next up is a demon commander. You have to handle that teacher. We are tired and need to conserve."

Maddison did not have the time to ask when a loud roaring minotaur came out of the crevice. It had a battle-ax in its hand and it roared, "Filthy fleshlings. I will..."

Before it could make a proclamation. Fenny cut it off, "Yeah, yeah, you will strip off our skin. The last 300 of you also said the same thing. Teacher, kill him, please. I might puke from the smell of this cattle shit." 

Maddison was already on it. The battle lasted only 5 minutes. The demon commander had nothing to do but wait for death as Maddison took a shot. She can be compared to the god of slaughter.  josei

Just as the minotaur fell, Lilian let out a roar. She opened her eyes and a black ink-like substance flowed down from her eyes. This substance was the residue of the dark energy in her soul sea. This substance was wriggling towards You Xi Wang.

It wanted to invade You Xi Wang as he kicked her out of Lilian. But was it that easy? As soon as it reached five meters near You Xi Wang. The black substance suddenly flew up in the void and around it appeared a ball of golden runes. A roar echoed in the void, "NOOOO"

The runes were spirit runes. Stronger than arrays. You Xi Wang had mastered 3 levels of this lost knowledge thanks to the spirit scroll Gena shared with him. As the dark substance vanished. You Xi Wang opened his eyes. Lilian was already standing on her feet. A little wobbly but yeah she was standing. 

She walked over to him slowly and sat down on the ground in front of him. She said, "So, you are the light at the end of the tunnel?" with a smile.

You Xi Wang scratched the back of his head and said, "Senior, my girlfriend will have my skin if you tease me like this."

The two people chuckled together...
