A Failure's hopeful Journey

Chapter 278: Reunion.

You Xi Wang ran through the shadow restlessly. Behind him, the other four followed. They did not talk to him, as they were able to see the restlessness in his eyes. It was very rare to see this boy like this. He would seldom let out his true emotions. Yet ever since he passed the tribulation, they were able to sense his discomfort. 

The distance was long but their speed was fast. Shadow skips were faster than the airship. It was as if a wormhole in the fabric of space and time. Within two hours, the team completed half a journey. Yuki spoke up, "Xi Wang, slow down, what happened to you?"

You Xi Wang only replied, "I cannot slow down, Yuki. You guys take a rest. I need to get back home ASAP. Please."josei

The other four knew his heart. Normally, he would never leave them behind. But today, he did not stop for even a second, that meant he had something on his mind so they carried on following him. They might have a single attribute physique but still, they were not weak. Traveling through the shadows took a big toll on the spirit energy inside them.

But the reason they asked for a rest was to not overwhelm them. It will take them only thirty minutes to reach Silica City at this speed. The spirit beasts were also a bit tired. Well, You Xi Wang did not stop but he still slowed down a bit for their sakes. This showed that he still cared for their well-being.

In the airship, Celestia and Lily kept walking to and fro. You Zhichi said, "My two lovely deities, can you stop strolling like this? I feel anxious."

The girl stopped and snapped their heads in her direction, with a squinty glare focused on her. The celestial maiden flinched a bit. She knew that now she snared the beehive. Celestia said, "Tell me why are we like this?"

You Zhichi replied, "Because we missed Gougou?" her voice was low.

Lily sighed as she spoke, "Aunt, you know Xixi would have felt pained when he did not see anyone receive him at the airport?" her manner was that of an elder.

You Zhichi nodded, Celestia said, "Well, it is not your fault. You were also busy with the Array Hall duties. It is all the fault of that old man. I will shave him bald again."

The three girls were late due to You Zhichi. She was now the head of the array hall, grade 7 array master, while Animo was not present she was the one who called the shots. This was the reason she was late in the morning. Celestia blamed Animus for this, now the old man would probably cry to these two little fairies.

You Xi Wang reached the Silica City, he did not slow down anymore he rushed at full speed. With no care in the world. In fifteen minutes, he was already standing at the cemetery entrance. Behind him were his friends. He walked in slowly and steadily. The mood of the group was calm and peaceful. 

The boy located his parent's grave. He saw that it was clean and well kept. Still, he waved his hands and cleaned the graves one more time. This was just for the sake of his own peace of mind. He knelt in front of them and said, "The child has come back to see you, Mom, Dad. Sorry, I did not come before, I was out of town. I hope you two are doing well. Also, I miss you a lot. You Know mom, I was not at home on my birthday, I missed your scolding a lot." his tears fell without even noticing. 

Suddenly he choked on his words. Yuki and the rest also had tears in their eyes. They all knew how much You Xi Wang loved his parents. How his mom would always come to see him off for any big events, how his dad will discipline him with a warm smile when he was being naughty. They all could still experience all this but this boy could not. 

You Xi Wang took a deep breath and continued speaking, "You know dad, I killed over a million dark creatures on my own. I won glory for the family. I became the youngest god of war ever on the planet..." he kept talking to the gravestones telling them his adventures and achievements. He even spoke of the setbacks he suffered. 

He let out everything inside his heart. Unknowingly he fell asleep in front of the ground after he was done speaking. This was his first sleep in the past six months. He would always be half asleep in the base. This time he let go of all the vigilance. This was his real nature. He always cared about his parents whether it was this life or the previous one. In his life on earth, he did not see off his parents as they passed away and shunned them off due to his self-pity and shame. 

Maya emerged from his shadow and sat down beside him on guard.  The other four did not disturb him as well. They all sat down in four corners around him. You Xi Wang would always be like a shield to them. On the battlefield, You Xi Wang saved them a lot of times. Especially Neo who always fought in the front.

You family mansion, a gray airship docket to the port, and You Zhichi came out with Celestia and Lily. They were received by the family with big smiles on their faces. You Naixin and the elders were not present at this moment. They were all outside handling their businesses. 

You Zhichi asked the man in front of him, "Big Brother Shan Wang, did gougou come home yet?"

This man was You Shan Wang, their eldest cousin. The man was shocked to hear her question, he shook his head and said, "No, he did not come yet. Is he back from his expedition?"

You Zhichi pondered for a bit and said, "I am going out." with that said she flew up and vanished into the sky. 

The people were left blank in this situation. They were all worried by You Zhichi being so restless. They all woke up when Celestia said, "I cannot wait to fly."

Lily nodded and said, "Let's go, Xixi will come to call everyone to welcome him."

Celestia smiled and the two girls left after greeting everyone present. You Shan Wang watched them skipping away with a smile on his face. He made a call to You Naixin and the rest of the family telling them what he just heard. As the family prepared for You Xi Wang's return. His sister flew to the cemetery.

The four people sensed someone approaching them at a high speed they stood up with their weapons ready to tackle. Soon they saw a figure wearing a white dress, slowly descending on the ground. The people relaxed. You Zhichi walked over to her brother who laid on the ground, sleeping on the hard floor. 

Yuki used a soul transmission, "He did not sleep well for 6 months. Came here and finally let go of the burden in his heart."

You Zhichi smiled faintly she replied, "I knew he would be here. How have you all been?"

The five chatted a bit when suddenly Maya stood up. She licked You Xi Wang on his cheek. The boy sprang up and took out his spear as he gazed around in confusion. He heard a soft voice, "Gougou."

Only then did he regain his consciousness. He stuck out his tongue and said, "Ummm, why did you guys not wake me up?"

You Zhichi did not reply but walked forward and hugged her brother. You Xi Wang took back the spear and child his sister tight. The two people who have never been away from each other finally met after six months. They both shed tears on each other shoulders, You Xi Wang said, "You will..."

His words were cut short by his sister, "Yeah, I know. I don't mind turning old, brat. Also, why are you not groomed?" their mother always asked them to be groomed. You Xi Wang at this moment was dusty and unkempt. 

He said, "They did not give us much time out there. How is everyone?"

You Zhichi said, "You will know when you go home." after a few minutes, the two separated and paid respects to their parents. You Xi Wang said, "I did not tell anyone, but during my tribulation this time, I felt as if dad and mom were the voice in my head. That is why I could gain Sync."

His friends nodded but You Zhichi grabbed his ear and twisted it, she asked, "What Tribulation?"

You Xi Wang begged her as the four people chuckled at the scene.
