A Failure's hopeful Journey

Chapter 319: Treatment.

You Xi Wang was laid down on the bed with Maya and Celestia and Lily stood beside them. Maya was also afflicted with the injuries. The little girl said, "Lily, you call out the sequence. I cast the runes?" 

Lily nodded and said, "You cast the runes for souls, then I will deal with the spirit." 

Celestia nodded and she took a deep breath to stabilize her brain. Lily said, "Start with the rejuvenation rune." 

Celestia cast a few seals with her hands and chanted some words under her breath the next moment the spirit energy in the void began to condense and gather above You Xi Wang's head. The spirit energy condensed into a shining glyph. 

Lily glanced at the glyph and said, "Increase the proportion of earth and a little pressure." 

Celestia made a few more chants and followed the instructions. The glyph in the void became golden and Lily said, "Merge."  josei

The little fairy with blonde hair chanted and the glyph fell from the void, it melted with You Xi Wang's forehead. It was as if water was absorbed by a drought-struck land. You Xi Wang's pale complexion improved in an instant. 

Lily said, "It is working, we should skip the next one. Xixi can use the Soul Gathering rune." 

Celestia nodded and began to cast another rune. As the name suggests, this rune was used to gather soul force from the void and move it to the soul sea of a person. Soul force was something always present in the void. Every moment something in the world dies. These dead beings all have an amount of soul force. No matter how minimal it was. 

This rune will not have any effect on those who were alive. It will only gather soul force from the void and move it to the injured person. These runes were all condensed with spirit energy. However, the spirit energy in the world could not be used raw. So the girls had to refine it from spirit stones, mixing and blending all the attributes and forming a glyph with heavenly spirit energy. 

The girls were not yet able to refine the spirit energy for all the attributes by themselves. Runes condensed with the holy spirit were like the language of the world and heavens, they could cure ailments and a lot of other things. However, this art was almost extinct and the girls learned it with great effort. 

After casting the second glyph, Lily said, "Descend." 

Celestia followed her instructions, this rune was not supposed to be merged inside You Xi Wang's soul force and just to funnel the soul energy inside the target. The glyph descended from the void hovered over You Xi Wang's forehead. Thin wisps of smoke seemed to be passing through the glyph at this moment. 

These wisps were the soul force in the void. However, the soul force must be purified before infused with another living being. It is possible to have some of the consciousness left behind by the previous host. It is possible for the remenant conscious to influence the target. The soul force began to pour inside the soul sea slowly healing him. 

These two glyphs may look like an easy thing to do but they were cast by combining two-hundred and eighty sounds to complete the chant. This chant was not only difficult to learn but also not everyone can learn it. One slight variation in the sound or a delay in hand gestures is enough to change the meaning of the chant from day to night. 

Celestia was a little pale after she cast the two glyphs. Lily asked, "Shall we wait till you recover or do I carry on?" 

It was her turn to cast treatment glyphs now. She was responsible to heal You Xi Wang's body. Despite the injury being micro controlled by the system they were not completely alleviated. The travel along the way had made them unstable again. 

Celestia spoke in a weak voice, "You continue, I will call out." 

Lily asked again, "You sure you can hold on?" 

Celestia gave her a firm nod and her eyes assured her. The understanding between the two was equal to the understanding between the phantoms. They could trust each other completely. Specially when they knew that it was You Xi Wang, they did not dare to be careless and affect their master in a bad way.

On the side, Maya's breathing has improved. This was a good sign, Maya was not affected physically but she was effected by You Xi Wang's condition, the reason she was in this state was because she was sharing the burden of his injuries through the spiritual bond. The two were now strong enough to ignore each other's injury to a certain level, but these injuries were all deep and heavy. 

Lily nodded and began to make seals with her hands and then she began to chant under her breath, a glyph condensed in the void. Celestia said, "Lacks fire by a percent." 

Lily chanted and the glyph shined in gold. Then Celestia said, "Merge." 

The tiny pink fingers cast a seal and the glyph fell down from the void and melted in You Xi Wang's body. His wounds became stable, the blood circulation returned to normal. Lily carried on casting the runes in the void and merge them with the boy's body. 

The process was slow but it was not as taxing as the soul one. They cast repeated runes at this moment because they have not yet mastered the rune to gather spirit energy inside the body and channel it to the most needed parts to heal the injuries. They have praticed on some inanimate objects but the results were not good.

Given the shortage of time, they did not have the privilege to perfect the art of spirit gathering rune, and decided to make use of this one. Celestia will tell Lily from time to time of the attribute she needed to add in the mix to cast the perfect glyph. You Xi Wang was healing to a pace visible to the naked eyes. 

His wounds were gradually returning to normal. His consciousness has been active for quite a time now, and the system has begun to even learn from the two girls. Yes, it has been observing the two little ones and began to learn the sounds and seals for the runes. This knowledge will help him help the others and himself in the future. 

Celestia said, "Lily, you can stop. His body is now healed." 

Lily on the other side opened her eyes, and Celestia gave her a tissue to wipe the sweat on her forehead. She asked, "How long?" 

Celestia said, "A couple of hours. We need to make sure that he is not disturbed." 

Maya sat up on the bed blinking her big blue eyes. The girls smiled at her and Maya rubbed her head against their small bodies. The treatment has been implemented, now only the maestro had to wake up.
