Chapter 321: Death Parade.

You Xi Wang stood up from the bed and bowed to the two little fairies, who were surprised by his actions. They put the fruit plates aside and walked over to him in a hurry and said, "Xixi(big brother) get up. What are you doing? (2)" 

You Xi Wang raised his head and with a smile, he said, "It is only courtesy for the patient to thank the doctor after the treatment is complete and the patient has recovered." 

Celestia said, "Going by this, we two should kneel in front of you till eternity for what you have done for us?" with a pouted mouth. 

Lily on the side also nodded. One of them was given hope by him while the other was treated from a life-threatening ailment in his hands. They did not think what they did was enough to thank him or could even be considered equal to what he did for them. Their words surprised You Xi Wang as he broke into a chuckle.

He picked them both up in his arms and asked, "How are my sweethearts doing?" he has missed these two little girls a lot when he was out on the expedition but bringing them along would have hurt them. 

They were cultivators but they were not yet strong enough to stand against the winds. They needed to be nursed after carefully. The two girls told him a lot of things, such as how they learned the spirit rune knowledge from the books they found in the elven library, and how the people had given them a nickname. The reason behind this name? Once an elven child was lost in the marketplace where they happened to be buying supplies, so they helped the child by telling him stories, and the child broke into a smile. The parents of the child thanked the two maidens. The girls replied to them, "We are glad to help." 

The sweet voices bought smiles to the people and thus they became the maidens of joy. You Xi Wang felt a twitch at the corner of his lips. He wanted to find the bastard who came up with such a name. This was totally an attempt to make the plot influenced with ecchi but he controlled his urge and told the two that he was proud of them but the name was not very good. 

They were not only his family but also his disciples, how can he let them like something like this. So the fangirls were brainwashed by him to filter all the double-meaning things. After a brief interaction with the girls, he came out of the room and found that all the people seemed to have vanished. 

He asked the two on his side, "Where did everyone go?" 

Lily chuckled and said, "They all went to practice after Celes gave them a harsh scolding." 

You Xi Wang held his forehead in his palm and said, "My deal little fairy, why did you do that?" 

Celes snorted and said, "You are too soft with those big oafs big brother. Humph, they cannot even hold a candle to you, and they wish to fight in the ancestral exam? These horses need lashes to keep them in line."  josei

She did not accept that she was a bit too rude when she scolded the people. Lily shook her head and said, "Xixi, let them be. Sometimes people need some lashing to get out of their range of comfort. Only when you step out of the range of comfort do you reach the pinnacle of improvement." 

The boy was defeated by their logic thoroughly and could not come up with a refutal so he shrugged and took the two people and one big wolf around to check how the people were training. He came to the training field and saw that everyone was sparring with each other. What shocked him was that they all had an intent to kill lingering around them as they fought.

At a distance, he spotted Neo, who waved to him. The two walked over to each other and You Xi Wang asked, "What is with the killing intent?" 

Neo said, "They have controlled their killing intent a long time ago, but now they seemed to have realized that when fighting, even if just to train, the killing intent can help you increase the output so they asked me how they can get better at this regulating action, and this training is a result." 

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "I do not see any problem with this method but what do you do if anyone gets injured? Also, how is the killing intent affecting their minds? You know that prolonged exposure can lead to deviation and mania." 

Neo nodded and said, "Big sister Zhichi took it over her to teach them all Tai-chi so that they can regulate their emotions and relax after they are done with the training. The session will start after this exercise completes." 

Maestro nodded and asked, "What about the rest?" 

Neo replied, "Fenny took the techies and is whipping them up to merge the dwarf refining and elven tech together. Allan is to oversee the support squad training. He is also guiding the medic department. Yuki has begun to train the swordswomen. Gena is deputy to big sister in array science department." 

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "Good. Things are good. I just hope that you all are not pushing it too much." 

Neo shook his head and said, "Despite all your effort we found that we are not strong enough. You were injured so deeply, if it was a group confrontation, given the level, someone could have gotten grievously injured or even worse. So, we all discussed and came to the conclusion of death parade protocol." 

You Xi Wang was surprised by this statement. He asked, "Everyone agreed?" 

Neo nodded. The death parade protocol was something used by the defense forces of the metropia council. This protocol will have the forces engage in training till the moment they are almost dead. The intensity of the training will increase daily and it will take you to the point where one would become a machine. If you endure, you become a sword sharp enough to slay the world, and if you cannot endure, you are scrapped. 

This protocol was banned when the council entered peace times. Since then no one has ever tried to imply this. The reason was the death rate. It was stated in the records that the people who were scrapped, could commit suicide or grow detached from the world, eventually diverting from the path of light. 

Scrapping did not mean any harm to the cultivation, but total collapse of the Dao Heart.
