Chapter 342: The test.

You Xi Wang's words made You Zhen Long surprised. He did not expect such a young kid to be the master of the family. He did not think of anything good. He asked, "What happened to your older generations?"

He thought that something bad has happened to the family that made the juniors fight back, thus resulting in their strength. You Xi Wang replied with a calm smile, "The older generation is fine, before me, my father was the master of the family, however, some dark dwellers conspired and killed him and my mother. So, I took up his mantle. The family is now among the top forces in Metropia." 

You Zhen Long nodded and restrained his aura, making the rest of the people wake up. He said with a smile, "I see you have taken the wolves as your spirit beasts. Any special reason?" 

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "On a training assignment, I encountered a night hound. She had given birth to extraordinary pups. So in her passing moments, she entrusted those pups to me and my team. Maya, come and greet ancestor."

Maya came out of his shadow but stood behind him. She was scared by You Zhen Long's intimidating aura. The old man stroked his beard and smiled. He said, "Good, holy spirit beasts. You kid have done well. Let's go, I will take you all to rest above." 

You Zhichi was still the considerate one, "Elder, we heard your anger earlier. What do is the trouble?" 

You Zhen Long's calmed temper raised again. He said, "This fucking earth fire vein. I have been trying to refine a sword embryo but this temperature is not strong enough to make the metals blend." 

You Xi Wang walked over to his side and found an anvil and a hammer laying there. He also saw a heat harvesting array suspended from the lava river, connected to a furnace. He squatted down and raising his hand and pinched at the formation. You Zhen Long did not say anything when he found this boy doing stuff. 

After a minute the guy said, "Big Sis, this is a hybrid array, do you know that blending rune?" 

You Zhichi nodded and scolded, "You brat, I told you to focus and learn that book soon. Even your disciples know those runes." she walked over and after casting a few seals a spirit rune condensed. 

You Xi Wang shrugged and said, "I will finish it before going back. Humph, you dare to look down on the maestro." 

You Zhichi glared at him and the boy stuck out his tongue at her. The girl turned to You Zhen Long and said, "Elder, you can try it now, the array has been modified and it can provide better heat. Please see if it is useful." 

You Zhen Long nodded and stepped forward, he did not mind their quibble just now. He was a free-spirited person. The old man sat down on his stool and picked up the hammer. A disciple from the crowd asked, "Xiao Wang, what do you think is the weight of this hammer?"

The boy said, "A few tonnes, maybe. I don't know. Why do you ask, Brother El?" 

The other person was his family cousin, he said, "I do not see any spirit fluctuation on the hammer." he was a refining expert in the family. Thus he had some knowledge of what was going on. 

You Xi Wang shrugged, he did not have an inkling of what was inside a refinery. He had no interest in it. You Zhen Long did not speak but kept on beating the metallic sword embryo in front of him. The people were focusing on the old man, when they heard a soft voice, "Focus on the sword embryo." 

The people nodded and shifted their focus, they found that the hammer was falling on different spots but every time it hit the metal, it was causing some ripples on the surface. The ripples were like different liquids blending. The process gradually became longer but they all kept standing there in silence.  josei

You Xi Wang had already told them the level of the old man, and if they angered him that will be a sin greater than going against the family. After Nth hour the old man stopped hitting the metal and cut his palm. His actions were surprising but they were not unfamiliar. 

El mumbled, "Blood quenching." 

This was a method used to cast natal artifacts. These artifacts could reside inside the body of the cultivation, unlike the normal spirit weapons. These weapons were stronger and better. You Zhen Long's blood fell on the blade and it gave off hissing sounds. The sword seemed to be trembling more and more. 

Suddenly, the sword embryo began to change. You Zhen Long let go of the weapon from his hand and the next moment a little girl appeared in front of everyone. The old man laughed out loud from happiness. He said, "Xiao Ying, I finally revived you after ten years." 

He wanted to hug the little girl but the little girl kicked him in his shinbone and said, "You worthless old man, how useless can you be to have taken ten years? You waste of cultivation. To think I took on the heavenly bolt for your sorry ass. Humph, get lost." 

You Xi Wang immediately felt the corner of his mouth twitch and he had an urge to laugh. You Zhichi reacted in time and covered his mouth yet his shoulders were trembling. Some other juniors were also doing the same to stop themselves. You Zhen Long coughed a little and said, "You see, Xiao Ying, this vein was not heating you properly, so I was having trouble reviving you." 

The little girl turned her face away and said, "What is with this revive? I was not completely dead, just upset with that scratch on my elegant self and did not want to transform. Humph." 

You Zhen Long almost flipped the table in his mind and destroyed countless worlds. He said, "My little ancestor, I apologize. Please forgive my incompetence." 

Xiao Ling flicked her hair and said, "As long as you know your place. Who made me so kind to have chosen you. Also, who are these people?"

You Zhen Long told her about You Xi Wang and the rest, said, "This is Xiao Ying, my natal weapon spirit. She is one of the four natal swords that resided in our family. Two of them were destroyed in the battles with the dark forces. The other one was called..." 

He seemed to be trying to recall the name of the sword when El said, "Purgatory. The dark phoenix sword." 

You Zhen Long exclaimed, "Yes that one. This sword has always been passed down to the master of the family, however, the sword did not manifest the spirit till I was there. I wonder if it still is seeking for a master." 

The people chuckled, You Tong said, "Elder, the master of Purgatory is in front of you. He did not give you his full introduction." 

You Zhen Long was surprised he asked, "Who is it? Tell me."

The people all gazed at You Xi Wang and said, "The master of You Family, the youngest Nirvana rebirth realm practitioner and the youngest War God in the history, You Xi Wang." 

You Tong spoke up, "Also, elder, just between us, this guy passed the Primal Soul peak and triggered a Heavenly Tribulation. The same thing happened when he stepped into the nirvana rebirth realm."

You Zhen Long was surprised and asked, "You kid turned out to be a monster. Show me the sword." 

The young man did not hesitate and took out purgatory from his space ring and said, "Feather." 

His soft voice made the sword tremble and an ethereal figure of a woman wearing a black hanfu appeared in front of everyone. You Zhen Long was surprised and asked, "You managed to get the spirit to manifest. This is the spirit of dark phoenix?" 

Feather raised her eyes and cast a gaze at Xiao Ying. She bowed a bit, and Xiao Ying also bowed back. This was the respect of the weapon spirits. You Zhen Long said, "Kids since you all have come here, I have a test for you. If you all can break through to the nirvana rebirth realm first stage in one month. Then, I will help you refine a natal weapon. The material will be taken out from my coffers."

The people were excited and replied, "ALL HAIL ANCESTOR." 

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "If you did not break through, you will have to train with me. I will not hold back." 

The enthusiasm died down instantly. Some cousins complained. You Zhen Long said, "Come I will arrange a feast for you all before you go to train." 

You Xi Wang said, "I will help you cook. Grandma Cotton taught me a lot of stuff." 

You Zhen Long did not know, who grandma cotton was but he nodded and the two people led the rest of the group outside the cave.
