The smoke started disappearing but Marquis didn't see anyone. Marquis heard soft momvements. He immediately understood Severus' plan. "Playing hide and seek huh dear Severus?" With one swift motion of his palm, Marquis was able to dust off the remaining smoke. Severus was at the door when it happened. It was good that everyone escaped. 

Marquis saw that the cage was empty. His expressions twisted into senility. "Ahhh! You managed to let them escape? I don't care what happens to that twisted sister of Melanie but I needed that little will girl of you. I needed to experiment with her" He smiled so nastily that even Severus started having shivers.

"Uhhh?"

"Where is that old man? Even he got away?"

Dammit!!

"You are going to pay for this. I just got reunited with my master but now he is gone. I feel sad" Marquis spoke with dissatisfaction. As he sulked, he secretly plunged the injection into Maverick's body. It was the same injection which that man earlier plunged inside Severus and sucked his blood. As he did, Severus' eyes bulged out. 

"What are you doing?" He asked in utter horror.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Marquis chuckles evilly.

"Now now, don't make that expression. It's not like it's the first time for you or for Maverick. It's just a blood transfusion" Marquis said as if it was no big deal."

"...."

BLOOD TRANSFUSION...

It's not like how we did it in the past. In the past, a proper procedure was there for blood transfusion. A team of specialized doctors operated it on Maverick. Even he was put under a tight medical schedule in case coagulation happens but now…..

It was set for Maverick's blood to start coagulating…..

Severus waited for some time but nothing happened. Maverick was just fine but the next instant he started shivering uncontrollably. With nothing to cover himself up, he started rubbing his palms and body for eating his own body but soon his strength started fading and he started coughing blood. Not only cough but even his eyes, ears, and nose started bleeding. It was a bloody scene. 

No one was sure what would happen to him. 

Soon hsi nails started ripping and blood was oozing out from there however this was not the horrible thing but it was something else.

Everything that was happening to Maverick, it must be painful….extremely painful but Maverick had no expression on his face. His shivers and cough stopped and he just sat there on his knees. It was as if all those sufferings were not on his body. No painful expression could be detected on his face but only placid. Void…..was there.

Severus had a strange feeling about it. 

Soon the bleeding started and Maverick charged towards him with his full speed but this time the force behind his attacks was extremely powerful. Severus was barely managing to keep up with his pace. Forget about attacking him, the best he could afford was to just dodge and remain in defense but even that was seeming impossible. Soon he started panting as a thin layer of cold sweat broke on his forehead.

What kind of inhuman strength is this?

[It's not him but your blood] Noworry said gravely.

My blood?

[Yes your blood. You already forgot how important your blood is? Because you are Hades child so your blood is intoxicating for cursed creatures and sadly Maverick had always been under the shadow of a curse so your blood is giving him energy as well as desires. The extreme level of strength is coming to Maverick from your own blood] Noworry explained the reason behind Maverick strength.

If that's the case then why don't I possess such strength? 

Severus was baffled. If what Noworry said was correct then shouldn't he become one of the powerful beings in the world so why was he so slow?

[It is exactly the way it should be. Since you were my Lord's child then your body constitution is different from a normal human body. Your body is spiritually strong and thus you were able to withstand hsi blood and hsi powers so in your case, your powers are dormant inside you.]

Severus nodded his head in approval.

So what should I do to activate them?

Noworry just shrugged Severus.

[I don't know. Maybe surpassing your limit may help?] Lil birdie suggested.

Severus "..."

I might die if I surpass my limit.

[ you never know] Noworry said strangely.

Before Severus could curse noworry he was struck by Maverick sword. This time it struck him and slashed Severus' right arm.

Drip!

Drip!

Drip!

Blood started dripping from his arm as Severus groaned in pain. The smell of his blood made Maverick pupils dilated but it was for a split second. Soon the battle resumed and Severus uttered more injuries. It was becoming hard for Severus to survive but he pulled it. 

BAM!

Severus crashed on the wall, the same as Maverick crashed earlier. When he did, he saw someone coming in from the door. He rubbed his eyes to see clearly. He felt like he was hallucinating when he saw an old man coming inside. Gren, nimbly came inside and came to his aid. Both Marquis and Maverick saw him but didn't bother.

Marquis eyes glinted but he didn't do anything to stop him.

When Gren came close to him, he lovingly patted his head. Severus was stunned when he did. In his both lifetimes, no one has ever patted his head, forget about lovingly. For a moment he thought about the feeling of pat but soon stopped thinking about it. He was in a critical period. 

"Severus...you are my grandson. I feel happy to see you before departing from this world. Ahhhh! You resemble so much to her '' As Green continued his talk, his eyes started misting.

"I won't be able to live more. In a year or so I would eventually die because of my punishment to use that taboo art but I don't regret it at all. Not even slightest. Listen here, son. I know you don't want to kill Maverick. Earlier when you were fighting I saw your moves. They were strong but not deadly. Even a fool could see that you idiot. Even after what they did to you, I still care about him….eeshh" Green lamented.

Severus smiled sadly. "I don't know why but I couldn't bring myself to kill him"

Poor child!

"If that's what you want. Listen I know a way through which you can turn Marquis back to his normal state but it will be too risky. Are you sure you do not do it? If I were you, I would never do it. Killing Maverick is very easy than asking for risk, after all, all you need is to stab on his core. When you will, it will break and he will die. So easy" Green said cooly.

"...."

Severus didn't know what to say.

"I would appreciate it if you can tell me how can I save him" He ended up saying this.

"Alright"

"So the plan is that I will use my powers to heal you and fend Marquis so he doesn't interfere and you need to stick your cross on your sword and then concentrate your power on your sword and when you think you have concentrated your power in your sword then just lightly tap your sword on his core. Remember to not use even a bit of strength or else the core will break. A tap is it. After you do, your consciousness will join with Maverick. You need to bring Maverick from his unconsciousness to his consciousness so that he can take over his body and curse could be lifted but remember, inside his mind, you will face a tiny devil. To really free Maverick from his curse, you need to kill him to end the curse"

Severus nodded his head in understanding.

"So are you ready?"

"Yes"

He nodded his head.

5- Will Cynthia have more scenes?

No, she didn't have much role. She played an important role and will continue to play but I am not going to indulge more in her character.
