"The man whispered something in Minya eras and from then onwards, Minya started taming that Python. In the early stages, the snake was rebellious as hell and was extremely aggressive too. He was extremely formidable who didn't need food to survive."

She explained.

Severus did not interrupt her as he paid his complete focus on her story.

"Minya tried everything he could. From persuasion to confrontation, nothing worked on him. The snake lived inside the same room. Even after a week passed. He showed no movements. It was as if he was declaring that the room was his territory. No one dared to approach that gigantic and mystical python"

"No one was brave enough…." She described it gravely.

"After every attempt failed, the nobles started questioning Minya's power. No matter how formidable the ex-king was, if his son proves himself in-capable then he needs to resign and give the throne to someone worthy. Minya understood the severity of the situation but his hands were tied. The next day, a discussion panel passed a judgment that Minya would be given a chance to prove himself worthy. If he fails, he needs to willingly abandon the throne and if he passes then no one will retaliate against him. However, the price was not at all simple."

"The test was common for everyone and it was to subdue python. No one wanted to leave such a golden opportunity, so several enthusiasts participated in it and ultimately, met their doom. Except for Minya, not a single survivor survived. Every single one of them died in cold blood and met a ruthless ending."

"All thanks to that poisonous python...." Moon grumbled.

"Did Minya managed to subdue him?" Severus asked curiously. If Minya did manage to tame that poisonous python then it may become problematic for him.

After all, Noworry could sense that beast energy, and Severus observed that Noworry was behaving flustered every time the topic was mentioned.

He understood that Noworry had his own fears.

Moon shook her head. "Not yet"

"…"

Severus was speechless. "What do you mean by not yet?"

"As I told you that except Minya, every other member met his fate. We can say that Minya had good luck on his side, still, he was not able to subdue the beast. The python vigorously fought with Minya, however, in the end, he conceded defeat. It was not Minya who dad tamed Python, but it was the python who decided to be generous for once."

Severus understood more and less about her, Minya, and the backdrop of Znye Kingdom, but the fact remains the same.

Severus was no holy saint who would help anyone just because they asked for it. There were several people in this world who wished for several things including happiness but did not even perform bare minimum efforts.

"Understood" Severus nodded his head.

Now there was nothing more left to ask so Severus shifted to another question. "What can you tell me about the Spring temple of heavenly pavilion?"

Moon became quiet for a moment.

"Severus, there are actually some matters in which I have no say and sometimes we aren't even allowed to discuss them. No matter how much you ask or how much I am desperate to tell you the truth, I cannot."

"I simply can't" Moon refused to discuss anything about this topic.

Severus felt that this was rather odd.

Why would she hesitate to tell anything about a simple temple?

No matter how hard he tried, he could not come up with any plausible answer.

"Why? Even Minya told me a little about it so why can't you tell me about it. You are the guardian spirit who probably had existed for more than several centuries. I know you know more than you show. I am even aware that you know the real motive of mine, for coming here. And I assume you might have answers to my question so why are you hiding it from me?" Severus squinted his eyes as he tested Moon.

Whatever he said currently was just a bluff.

Moon grimaced.

The sheer dilemma was evident on her face.

After waiting for an eternity he finally opened her mouth too. "It's not that I don't want to tell you, but I can't. That topic is taboo as well as we are prohibited by heavens, to discuss about them. I will be facing terrible punishment if I break the law Severus" She said sadly.

"It's just not my place to tell you anything. You are a good kid Severus. I am sure, one day, you will finally stumble on the truth. I hope you take it easy when that day comes.... "Moon whispered but Severus failed to hear.

"What?" He asked her to repeat the sentence but she casually waved her hands in the air. "Nothing"

Severus now had no hope of getting any information about the Spring temple of heavenly pavilion. His face turned sour when he got to know that all his efforts went in vain.

Moon saw Severus was upset.

Well, it was bound to happen.

She wanted to help him but she herself was chained to heaven.

She thought hard about it when suddenly an idea struck her.

"Severus" She excitedly called him.

Severus who was earlier dis-spirited shivered when he heard such enthusiastic calls.

"…"

He narrowed his eyes as he questioned back, "What?"

In the photo, there was a girl who had a sweet toothy smile. She had long black hairs that were tied up in a ponytail. Her face was smiling, while her eyes were like a crescent moon. Happiness was radiating from her face with the innocence of a child.

Shen Yiwen clutched the photograph in his hands and closed his eyes to suppress the pain and the agony he was feeling but soon tears started streaming down from his eyes. He didn't make any whimper or hiccups. He just silently cried. The tears were endless and each one of them dropped on the girl's photograph.

Soon her photograph became wet with tears.

That night Shen Yiwen cried the whole night without any sound. The lights inside the rooms were off and the only source of the light present was from the big window across the bed.josei

Today moon was full and it brightly shone outside.

Inside the room, the moonlight entered and fell on him. In the moonlight, his figure turned more desolate and lonely. Truth to be told Shen Yiwen was a very handsome man with exquisite features but now all that was left was a frail him, who had his own frail charms but so terrible there was no one to appreciate this beauty
