Archer looked into Eveline's sparkly red eyes as he nodded. "Yes, we've known each other since we were seventeen. It's not like we're strangers, Eve. We used to meet before I became too busy."
The rabbit woman's face blossomed into a radiant smile and sparkling eyes. She leaned forward; her plump lips meeting his in a kiss full of warmth. He held her slim waist as she turned to face him just as a knock rang out through the room.
Eveline looked up with narrowed eyes as she stood up and spoke, "I'll go get it. Stay there handsome."
Archer watched her approach the door and open it only to see a female member of staff standing there with an innocent expression. When he saw this, the hair on the back of his neck stood up, causing him to cast a Mana Blast into the woman's chest.
The sudden assault hurled the newcomer against the opposite wall, leaving Eveline stunned as she spun to face him. Without hesitation, he sprang to his feet, opened a Gate leading outside the town, and stepped through it, taking the confused rabbit woman with him.
Eveline's brow furrowed as the portal snapped shut behind them, her ears twitching in bewilderment. "What was that about? Why did you attack her?" she asked.
His expression was grim, but shook his head. "The Alliance knows I'm here. That was a spy with some sort of poisoned weapon," he replied, his voice steady. "We need to head for the mountain passage that leads to Emberport."
The rabbit woman looked concerned before asking. "How would they know that? We're disguised and you're not using magic."'
He shrugged while scanning the surrounding landscape. "The Terravians have something that can detect me and they must have given it to the Alliance. It doesn't matter too much, as the attack will overwhelm the defenses in no time."
Following that, Archer felt a surge of mana heading in their direction just as the Oathkeepers dropped from the Battle Barge. Seconds later, a group of Demi-Gods appeared in front of him and Eveline.
'Looks like they can sense me,' he thought before sending a message to Aisha. 'Launch the Avidia invasion. There's no way I can sneak around on this continent.'
Once Archer was finished with that, he turned toward the enemies, who were staring at him with amused expressions. He took out a greatsword which shocked the rabbit woman. She shook her head and questioned, "Where did that come from?"
"I can barely use magic at the moment, but I still have my strength thanks to being a dragon," he answered with an excited smile. "Are you fighting with me, Eve?"
The white-haired woman nodded as she cracked her knuckles while getting excited about the upcoming fight. Just then, ten Oathkeepers slammed into the ground around them, causing Eveline to yelp in fright as she took in the giant knights.
'Where did these monsters come from!' she thought with wide eyes while glancing around.
Archer smiled when he saw her reaction before giving out his orders while dismissing their disguises, which shocked the Demi-Gods. "Thalion, defend my back and make sure none of the Alliance gets to us. I'll kill these fools."
"Yes, my Lord!" the Oathkeeper commander replied in a firm tone and readied their weapons.
Following that, Archer exploded forward, the ground cracking beneath his feet as he launched himself at the strongest Alliance Demi-God. His greatsword gleamed with raw mana, a blur of steel and power as it swung toward the surprised enemy.
The Demi-God's eyes widened, barely raising its weapon in time to block, but the force sent him flying backward. Following that, the clash echoed like thunder and drove the enemy back several paces, his boots skidding against the dirt as he struggled.
Archer's grin was wild, radiating unchecked strength. Thunderous booms echoed as Eveline surged forward, delivering a relentless barrage of powerful kicks. Each strike forced the Demi-God to divert his focus.
While the rabbit woman attacked, he swept his greatsword in a powerful arc aimed at the enemy's torso, forcing the man to leap backward, only to meet a crushing kick to the face that knocked him back.
He found out that fighting alongside Eveline was fun and the two of them overwhelmed the Demi-God. Archer's muscles tensed as the enemy dropped dead when he hit the man with a deadly swing.
Archer turned to face the remaining Demi-Gods and started attacking while letting out an earth-shaking roar. One by one, they fell before him, his greatsword cutting through them with ease.
Eveline stayed close, her eyes sharp, watching his every move as the Oathkeepers surged forward and the distant rumble of an army from the mountain pass grew louder. Archer swung his sword, cleaving three enemies in half with a single devastating attack.
Following that, his knights lined up in a shield wall just as the enemy army closed in. The rabbit woman appeared at his side, her smile wide. "That was fun, handsome. They were a bit too strong for me, but I'm glad to help you fight," she said.
His grin was fierce, the thrill of battle coursing through his veins as he replied. "We're just getting started, beautiful. Wait until you see the Oathkeepers tear through the enemy ranks with ease."
Archer stepped forward, his voice booming as he addressed the ten men who were ready to fight the incoming horde. "My knights! Show the Alliance what you're made of! Make them pay for their attack!"
Without hesitation, they saluted him just as the enemy soldiers closed in. In an instant, the Oathkeepers descended upon them, cutting through their ranks, their movements effortless
yet deadly.
Blood stained the ground below as the bodies started piling up. While this happened, he muttered to himself with a knowing smile, "Their excellent training marks them as veterans from the outset."
Minutes later, Archer noticed the giant men swinging their weapons and heavy fists, slaughtering the enemy soldiers like they were insects. Eveline's red eyes widened in disbelief as she watched the Oathkeepers carve through hundreds of soldiers.
"How are they so strong? They are like superhumans," she said in an amazed voice.
Archer chuckled when seeing her expression before explaining, "These are my soldiers and are only loyal to me."
Following that, the couple watched the Oathkeepers advance like a relentless tide, their armor gleaming in the fading light as they cut through the Alliance soldiers without mercy. With each step, the couple watched them crush the enemy's frontline.
'Wow they are monsters,' he thought while getting excited. 'Leira and the others did well with the super soldier program.'
The earth trembled thanks to their strength as they stopped the small army in its tracks. A vicious battle erupted as the air rang with the sound of steel meeting flesh as screams rang out across the battlefield.
One Oathkeeper swung his massive blade in a wide arc, cleaving through a dozen soldiers in a single motion. Another crushed an enemy's chest with a hammer-like fist, sending them
flying.
Their attacks were flawless, each knight effortlessly destroying the soldiers. Archer watched as his warriors pressed forward. He noticed the enemy soldiers faltered, their morale crumbling under the weight of his knight's relentless charge.
The battlefield, once a place of chaos, now became a slaughterhouse as they tore through their enemies like a force of nature. Archer quickly noticed the ground was strewn with the
bodies of the fallen.
Minutes later, the Alliance's resistance shattered, unable to withstand the unstoppable fury of the Oathkeeper's attacks. He watched as the surviving enemy soldiers retreated toward the
gap.
'Now it's time to get out of here,' he thought with a pleased smile.
As the enemy forces vanished into the distance, Archer's gaze lifted to the sky, spotting the Battle Barge descending from above. He opened a violet Gate to the massive craft so they
could get on board.
"Everyone gets through! We need to leave before reinforcements show up," he shouted to his
bodyguard.
The Oathkeepers filed through the portal, followed closely by Archer and Eveline. They emerged on the blimp-like vessel, and the captain's eyes widened in recognition. Without hesitation, he throttled the engines, lifting the ship into the air as explosions erupted.
Archer felt the craft shudder, but the pilots fought to keep control, their hands steady as they veered the ship toward Draconia. Following that, the couple was led to the resting quarters, where there was a massive bed, table, and chairs with a connecting balcony.
Eveline glanced around the room with wide eyes as she commented, "Why does it look like a bedroom fit for a king?"
"Because Dellah designed it like that," Archer answered with a chuckle. "She knows I'll be traveling around the empire on Battle Barges."
The rabbit woman nodded in understanding. "That's smart. At least we can travel in comfort
now."
He agreed while sitting down and kicking off his boots as pain shot through his body, causing him to groan. Eveline's head snapped in his direction as she rushed over to him with a
concerned expression.
