“Mr. Parker?” Cordy was surprised to find Jay at her door with Zoe in his arms.

She assumed that Zoe had again forgotten the security code and rang the

doorbell. It was a regular occurrence, after all. Every once in a while, Zoe would

ask her for the security code again.

Besides, Zoe’s hands were usually dry and her skin easily peeled off, so they
