"I only stopped you from working at Levine Ventures because of who you were.It's something the family and I can't abide with."

"And I would never complain about that.I would've starved to death in the streets if you never brought me here," Jay said, before adding, "And Johnny is special.He's plenty enough to take the weight of our family.It was a wise decision you entrusted him with Levine Ventures."

Alan looked up at him then and nodded.

Much had already been decided, and there was no need for lies or deceit.

The phone on Alan's desk suddenly rang, and Lawrence quickly answered it.He started scowling as the person on the end continued, and he eventually lowered it to tell Alan, "Sir, they're reporting that Master John is gone."

Alan's eyes narrowed, while Jay appeared a little nervous.

"Shall we instruct them to bring in more people to find him?" Lawrence asked. novelbin

"Yes, Master Levine."' Lawrence replied.

Jay quietly heaved a sigh of relief, and Alan told him, "Go now.I'm tired."

Zoe was certainly throwing a major tantrum in Quinn's office, and she had been ranting about Jessica the entire afternoon.
