Chapter 352

It suddenly felt like the tables had turned in this case.

Noel, who originally looked smug about how things were progressing, became slightly nervous.

Jessica looked unmoved, but her fingers subconsciously clenched into a fist.

Cordy was indeed smarter than Jessica thought she was.

When Jessica planned this out, she never expected Cordy to be able to provide evidence that she did not go to the bank that day.

"Your Honor, please allow me to show the evidence of my client not being at the bank on that day," Quinn requested.

"Approved." Quinn retrieved a USB flash drive, connected it to a computer, and played a video.

She explained, "The account was opened at City West Bank on 15 September at ten in the morning.During that time, my client was at Starstream Group's office building, attending meetings throughout the morning. This is a video recording of what my client did that morning.I sped it up four times to avoid wasting everyone's time."

Everyone watched the video in all seriousness.

With this video, Cordy was basically cleared of all suspicion that the bank card belonged to her.

"In summary," Quinn said as she closed the video, "I have reason to suspect that my client was framed."

"Objection." Victor stood up again.novelbin

"Even if the account owner was not at the bank in person, there is a possibility that the bank staff might have been bribed to do a private transaction. If Cordy Sachs can bribe Henry Lane, why can't she do the same to a bank employee? This video is not sufficient to prove that the card does not belong to Cordy Sachs."

Victor's theory brought Cordy back to where she was once again.

Quinn did not panic, as if she had expected such an objection to be Taised. She said to Judge Faden, "May I ask Helen Zalenski a few questions?"

Approved."

Quinn turned to look at Helen and asked, "You claim that my client was the one who instructed you to submit the tax return and bribe Henry Lane, is that right?"

"What did she give you in return for doing something that is outrightly against the law?"

"She is my leader.I had to follow her orders in order to continue working in my post," Helen said rather agitatedly.

"So my client did not give you any benefit?" Quinn verified once more.

"No, she did not."

"So where did all the batches of unknown funds that you received in your account over the past month come from?"

Quinn retrieved a statement and placed it in front of Helen.

Helen looked at the transactions in her account and panic flashed past her eyes. She hemmed and hawed but was unable to arrive at a clear response.

"Not only does your account have many incoming records, but there are also many outgoing fund transfers. The recipient whom you have been transferring to is North City's largest casino account. You probably lost a lot of money from gambling, didn't you?!"

"T...that's my own problem, it has nothing to do with this case.I can choose not to answer the question."

Helen was pretty adaptive.

"Of course it has everything to do with this case! Because you owed money from gambling and were unable to return the money, you were worried that it might threaten you and your family's lives. So you were instigated to frame my client for ill-gotten gains to pay off your debts!"

Quinn concluded firmly. She looked utterly domineering and aggressive!
