Chapter 354

"She asked me to duplicate Cordy Sachs' signature on a huge pile of documents."

"When was that?"

"Around a month ago."

"Do you have evidence that it happened?"

"Yes.I have records of our conversation."

Timothy pulled out his phone.

Quinn took it and projected it in the court, displaying to everyone the conversation between Timothy and Helen.

It was written clearly that Helen had made Timothy help her sign on documents, and there were even pictures of the signed documents and records of the funds transfer.

It was clearly a significant piece of evidence.

Commotion arose in court, and Noel's face was ashen with horror.

She did not expect Helen to be so foolish as to leave behind so much evidence for others to pick up on! She even left behind conversation history, fund transfer screenshots, and pictures of signed documents! Noel had reminded Helen umpteen times to be careful in all things and not to leave any trace behind.

Did all her words fall on deaf ears?! Jessica's entire body stiffened up.

Now that things had progressed to this point, it was looking less likely for Cordy to be convicted of the crime.

She took a deep breath inwardly, forcing herself to keep calm.

Meanwhile, Quinn said solemnly to Helen, "Evidently, the so- called hard copy tax report was not personally signed by Cordy. You know very well your company's approval process and that myclient's secretary only accepts hand written signatures on hard copy before approving it on the system. You made use of this loophole to frame my client!"

"I, I didn't..." Helen shook with fear.

“If you didn't, how do you explain your chat history with Timothy, and why were you unable to explain the sudden appearance of so much funds in your account?" Quinn pushed aggressively. Helen was completely speechless. Noel did not tell her how she could respond in such a situation. She just instructed her to insist no matter what that it was Cordy who instigated her to do everything, and that she would give her a sum of money after the deed was done.

“Your Honor." Quinn turned around. "Based on the witness and evidence provided, it clearly shows that my client is innocent and has been framed. I beseech the chief judge and the bench to make a fair and just judgment. I have made my case. Thank you, Your Honor."

With that, Quinn returned to her seat.

"Do you have anything to say, Prosecuting Attorney?" Judge Faden asked.

Victor glanced at the court spectator stand. Someone from the stands shot him a glance back. likely for Cordy to be convicted of the crime.

Someone from the stands shot him a glance back.

"Your Honor, according to the evidence I have at hand, I am unable to arrive at the circumstances concerning Uhis case aud do net want to inflict unnecessary harm on anyone. I suggest for this case to be handed over to the procurator's office once again for further investigation."

She naturally could not allow Cordy to be affected by this case any more than she already was.

Judge Faden seemed to glance over at the spectator stand before saying, "We'll adjourn for half an hour. The bench and I will discuss and make the final verdict on Cordy Sach's charges of bribery and tax evasion."

Half an hour later, Judge Faden returned to his seat and announced, "Regarding Cordy Sachs' tax evasion case, the official verdict from the People's Supreme Court is hereby announced. Please rise."

Everyone stood up, the air crackling with excitement despite the fact that the outcome was already known!
