Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 34 the end of the war

Chapter 34 the end of the war

---

The God of Light watched Mark closely, now surrounded by five other peak Rank 2 beings.

"Hehe... six on one. What an odd situation," the God of Light sneered.

"Being suppressed by the world's will and boosting your strength... hehe, what an odd thing indeed," Mark teased in return.

"You—" the God of Light growled angrily, but before he could respond, the other five peak Rank 2s attacked.

Though outnumbered, the God of Light had the advantage of his element. Light was not only for destruction and purification but also enhanced his speed. His body became a blur as he grabbed the nearest being, dragging him in front as a shield.

"Aaah!" the being screamed, enduring the other four's attacks. The God of Light sneered and prepared to stab him with his spear when a sudden palpitation in his chest made him hesitate.

The God of Light turned quickly, raising his shield just in time.

*Shinnnn...*

A deep claw mark—five sharp lines—cut across his shield. He instinctively backed away, his heart pounding.

"Oh, a missed chance," Mark said with a slight smile, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous glint.

"Aaah!" the God of Light threw his spear at one of the Rank 2s, using another as a weapon to strike Mark. But Mark didn't retreat. He launched a powerful punch in return.

*Boom!*

A massive shockwave erupted, sending the remaining Rank 2s stumbling back.

"Damn, peak Rank 2s are strong," Luke muttered as he licked his lips. He moved in the shadows, scouting for weaknesses, striking only when the time was right to finish them off.

The battle grew more intense. The Rank 1s had already fled far from the scene, but even from that distance, they could still feel the residual effects. A single attack from a Rank 2 could decimate a million kilometers, while the Rank 1s could barely destroy a fraction of that in comparison.

From afar, the lower ranks watched, stunned by the scale of the shockwaves. But because of the distance, they felt nothing more than a strong breeze—mercifully spared from the real devastation.

***A Few Minutes Earlier***

Ariya looked at the ongoing battle, her heart heavy with pain. Humans were dying every second in this war, and the tragedy unfolded before her eyes. She wanted to help, but suddenly she felt something being ripped away from her.

She collapsed, breathing heavily. The God of Light had severed his connection with her when he awoke. Her rank had dropped to Rank 0.

"This weakness… it's the aftereffect of being demoted," Ariya thought. "I can't help anyone like this."

She watched helplessly as Rank 0 beings were slaughtered like animals. Her heart ached, but she couldn't just give up.

"I can't give up," Ariya whispered to herself, struggling to stand. Her legs shook, her body felt impossibly heavy. Just as she was about to move forward, something horrifying caught her eye.

A 32-meter tall creature, swinging a massive sword, was destroying everything in its path. Each step turned the surrounding area into ashes, with raging fire consuming all. The creature's inverted bat wings spread wide, its tail lashing around. Its terrifying smile sent chills down her spine as it obliterated an entire city in minutes.

"I..." Ariya gasped for air, her body drenched in sweat. The creature vanished through a teleportation circle after leaving the city in ruins.

"Maybe there's still someone alive," Ariya whispered, desperately clinging to hope. She forced her body to move, pushing through the pain.

The battle had moved farther away due to the creature's rampage. Its demigod aura was overwhelming, and it had killed countless beings at its level with a single strike.

Ariya's every step was agony, but she gritted her teeth and pressed on until she reached the ruins. No limbs remained, only blood—a vast, chilling silence.

"The… the center of the city," she murmured, dragging herself to a teleportation circle.

She appeared at the city's heart, and what she saw shattered her spirit. No living beings were left. The ground was sunken 100 meters below, everything razed to the ground. All was lost, save for one building.

The auction house.

Ariya recognized it immediately. She didn't know why, but something inside her urged her to go there. Despite her broken body, despite everything, she felt an irresistible pull.

"Is it because of what I've seen? My god abandoning me? Leaving my father? Holding onto my past, my childhood trauma, losing my mother?"

"I... must... get there," Ariya kept muttering, step by agonizing step, until she finally reached the door. A faint smile appeared on her face as she gripped the doorknob. But just as she was about to enter, her body gave out.

"Not now... I'm so... close," she whispered weakly, before losing consciousness.

---

"Oh..." A woman with an impeccable figure stepped out. Despite her clothes covering most of her body, her allure was undeniable—every curve accentuated.

"What do we have here?" she purred, her voice sultry, capable of igniting desire in any man.

This was the auction hostess.

Ariya's limp body was lifted into the air, her clothes disintegrating into ash. The hostess gazed at Ariya's naked form with a wicked smile.

"Such perfection. She could be my disciple," the hostess mused, admiring Ariya's figure, which was nearly as flawless as her own.

"do you agree?" she asked, and Ariya's eyes twitched.

"I'll take that as a yes," the hostess chuckled, her laugh so charming it could mesmerize anyone.

With a sly grin, the hostess turned back and entered the building, Ariya's unconscious body floating behind her.

***At a Kingdom Now in Ruins***

"Sigh, there's no resistance... it's like taking candy from a baby," Void said, sounding bored as he bent down to inspect his reflection in the blood ocean at his feet.

"Powerful," he murmured, admiring his rock-hard muscles and the black scales adorned with flaming red patterns.

"Fifteen kingdoms, twenty-six cities, and still I don't have enough souls. Is breaking through to peak Rank 1 really this difficult?" Void sighed, a wary smile creeping onto his face.

"Well, just one more kingdom," he said, slinging his sword over his shoulder as he walked forward into the desolate landscape.

---

Just as Void was about to step onto the teleportation circle, he felt his body becoming restless.

"System, what's wrong?" Void asked hurriedly, his expression turning solemn.

**(Host, an Original Sin is here.)**

"Huh, you mean an Original Sin like Lucifer?" Void asked in shock.

**(Yes, Host. Its bloodline pressure is being released.)**

"Oh, no wonder. Then why is my body restless?" Void questioned further.

**(Your Primordial bloodline is of the same rank as it.)**

Void's face darkened. "Oh… this just got really bad," he muttered, his gaze shifting toward the eastern horizon.

---

**At the Battlefield**

Every creature on the battlefield froze as they felt an overwhelming presence approaching. Their bodies became paralyzed, though their minds remained conscious.

"What's happening? What's this dreadful feeling?" the God of Light thought, his body almost colliding with Mark's. His armor was battered, and both his spear and shield lay in ruins.

"This… I can feel my body resisting, but it's useless," Mark thought, his heart pounding faster.

"This… this is similar to Master's aura..." Linkir, who had woken up but was still immobile, thought. Despite being an Aeron, she was only a mixed-blood Primordial demon and couldn't resist the pressure.

**Tap... tap... tap...**

Everyone across the entire world heard footsteps, each one reverberating through the battlefield. A gigantic figure moved with deliberate steps, each one covering billions of miles. What had seemed so far away was now towering before them.

The figure's size dwarfed everyone.

"Aaah..." The massive being took a deep breath, exhaling with a sense of satisfaction.

"Such vitality," the figure chuckled before turning its gaze toward Void. Despite never having seen the Original Sin, Void instinctively knew this being could see him.

"What do we have here?" the figure mused, raising a hand. In an instant, Void found himself in the palm of the giant.

"What the—?" Void exclaimed in shock, retreating several steps, though the being's palm remained vast enough to surround him.

"System, scan him," Void thought urgently.

**(Ding)**

**{Host: Asmodeous. Race: Original Sin Demon (Clone). Rank: Quasi-Rank 3}**

**{Strength: Early (Rank 3). Stamina: Early (Rank 3). Speed: Peak (Rank 2)}**

**{Blessing: Original Sin (gains strength from corresponding emotions). Law: Lust}**

"Lust? His figure... why does it look like the most beautiful girl I've ever—" Void trailed off, feeling a surge of lust take over his body. He quickly snapped out of it the next second.

"Interesting. You have a unique bloodline, but the scent… you're not from the Abyss I know," Asmodeous said with a chuckle.

"He's just a clone… seriously? System, explain this clone thing," Void thought.

**(Host, higher-level demons create clones that start from scratch to study their Law. This helps them perfect it, increasing their strength, and allows them to gather souls. No matter how strong a being is, having multiple hands is useful. Beings like the Original Sins can't travel to many worlds or universes with their main body.)**

Stunned by the explanation, Void quickly responded to Asmodeous, though only a split second had passed.

"I'm from a different Abyss. I'm a Primordial demon," Void replied, sheathing his sword—it was useless. Despite being thousands of light-years away, he had been pulled here by this being in an instant.

"Primordial demon? Interesting. You may leave," Asmodeous said with a smile, gently placing Void on the ground.

Void was shocked. Why would he let me go? he thought. But he knew he stood no chance in a fight, so he rushed back toward where Linkir was frozen.

"Aaah, back to you all. You will die… But let's start with the natives of this world," Asmodeous declared with a smile. Each and every being saw the most desirable form of their race and became lost in illusions.

Asmodeous looked at their frozen bodies, minds trapped in fantasies, and snapped his fingers.

**Tick...**

A second later, every native—whether gods, orcs, humans, dragons, wyverns, or monsters—faded out of existence.

"I can't let their souls go to waste," Asmodeous grinned, waving a banner to collect the souls.

As Void hurried past the battlefield, he saw how the natives disappeared and his eyes widened in shock. Though he had grown stronger, compared to these beings, he was still nothing but an ant. He felt small, insignificant.

Void increased his speed and soon spotted Linkir's frozen body. He picked her up quickly.

Drawing a rune, Void opened a portal to the Abyss.

"It really is different," Asmodeous muttered, watching the portal close as Void and Linkir disappeared.

"Now, where were we?" Asmodeous asked, turning back to the remaining combatants. No one could reply; their bodies were frozen, trapped in a lustful illusion. Both men and women wore crazed expressions that Asmodeous found amusing.

"Now you must die," Asmodeous said, preparing to strike, when he suddenly heard a sigh.

"Sigh… enough."

Asmodeous felt his body stiffen for a moment. In the next instant, he disappeared, and the ground beneath where he had stood collapsed. The second layer of the space was briefly revealed, but it quickly recovered.

"You have done enough. Now die," said the old man who had previously destroyed the Divine Plane, appearing once again.

Asmodeous, sensing a threat to his life, gathered all his power and clashed with the old man.

The others were freed from their paralysis just in time to see the two figures standing still, no sound or movement between them.

A portal suddenly opened, and Asmodeous was sucked in. In the blink of an eye, the old man stood where Asmodeous had been moments before.

"Let's go," the old man said, waving his hand as they all disappeared.

Moments later, the entire world vanished, leaving behind only a ripple and a few remaining buildings. Among them was the auction house.

"Sigh… we should go too," the hostess's voice echoed as the auction house disappeared from sight.
