Chapter 430: 430 Stood Up
Suddenly, someone knocked on the office door.
“Come in!” Shen Yan said calmly. Immediately, she collected her thoughts, took out a document, and placed it on the desk.
Miss Na came in with a folder. She placed it in front of Shen Yan, and said softly, “Miss Shen, this is the budget proposal for next year’s talent show. Please take a look.”
Shen Yan took the document over. The document was about fifty pages long. It seemed like it would take some time. She gestured for Miss Na to sit down and asked, “How far are we on the Li Corporation’s acquisition plan?”
When Miss Na heard Shen Yan’s words, she instantly understood what she meant. She had long disliked Fu Hang, so she smiled and said, “President Fu is still discussing with the Li Corporation. I think we’ll come to a conclusion soon.”
Shen Yan nodded indifferently.
“Okay, I got it. You can go out first,” Shen Yan said faintly, looking down at the new activity proposal prepared by the company.
In less than three minutes, Fu Hang called and said that he would take her out for dinner at the Emperor Restaurant at seven o’clock tonight, but Shen Yan turned him down without hesitation.
Shen Yan’s thought was very simple. She was going home for New Year’s soon, so she didn’t want to create a messy scandal.
Fu Hang continued, “I’ve already secured the acquisition contract for the Li Corporation. Can you treat it as a celebration dinner for the two of us?”
Shen Yan hesitated for a long time before she agreed.
When it was past five o’clock, Shen Yan had already finished reading the documents and was about to get off work when Miss Na walked in from outside.
“Miss Shen, there’s a girl named Bonnie downstairs who says she’s your friend and wants to see you.”
A hint of confusion flashed across Shen Yan’s eyes. She did not know anyone named Bonnie. Just as she was about to turn her down, she heard Miss Na add on.
“Bonnie seems to be the junior of psychiatrist Irene.”
Hearing Miss Na say this, Shen Yan thought that Irene had asked Bonnie to pass on the message to her. So, she smiled and said, “Ask her to come in.”
In less than ten minutes, Miss Na sent Bonnie in, and then left tactfully.
There were only Shen Yan and Bonnie left in the office. Shen Yan exchanged some pleasantries before with her inviting Bonnie to sit down on the sofa.
“Miss Bonnie, do you prefer black tea or green tea?” Shen Yan looked at Bonnie with a smile and asked gently.
“Thank you for your kindness, Miss Shen. However, it’s time for you to sleep now...”
Shen Yan looked at Bonnie in confusion. Before she could react, her eyes closed and lost consciousness.
It was seven o’clock in the evening at Emperor Hotel.
Fu Hang was sitting by the window of the hotel in a suit. He looked at the dim lights outside the window and waited for Shen Yan with anticipation.
Time passed bit by bit. The people in the hotel changed several times. The waiter came over and said politely, “Sir, I’m really sorry. Our shop is closed.”
Fu Hang glanced at his phone expressionlessly. It was already one o’clock in the morning.
“It’s fine.” Fu Hang got up and walked outside. He wanted to call Shen Yan, but when he looked at the time on the top right corner of his phone, he hesitated and turned off his phone.
He walked toward the parking lot and toward his car. From afar, he saw a person squatting beside his car.
When Fu Hang walked to his car, the woman who had been squatting outside his driver’s seat stood up slowly.
She was wearing a white down jacket. Her dark and beautiful curly hair fell over her shoulders, and her eyes were red as she looked at Fu Hang.
Fu Hang frowned slightly and took a step forward. He originally wanted to hold Shen Yan in his arms, but he restrained himselfafter thinking for a while and stood where he was. He asked in a low voice, “Why are you standing here all the time? Aren’t you cold?”
Fu Hang saw that Shen Yan was staring at him and said softly, “I’ll send you home.”
After saying that, Fu Hang held Shen Yan’s cold hand and walked toward the door of the passenger seat. He helped Shen Yan to open the door.
After Shen Yan sat down, he walked to the driver’s seat and drove Shen Yan home.
