Chapter 318
Chapter 318
Just as they were about to leave, everyone seemed puzzled.
“The truth is out now, and you still want to leave?” Luo Fei asked, confused.
“Is it because of the DINK issue? Are you worried about your family’s reaction?” Jing Yan inquired.
Guo Yalan chimed in absentmindedly, “Are you really planning to go DINK? Did you and Xiaoxi discuss this?”
Cen Ting also looked at them curiously.
Ji Fei and Qin Xian, however, didn’t seem surprised.
[It seems they’re trying to prevent Ke Yun'er from going crazy and exposing Bai Xiaoxi’s secret later, so they’re leaving early to avoid hurting Bai Xiaoxi. They’re really trying to protect Bai Xiaoxi completely.]
Bai Xiaoxi felt guilty and was about to say something, but Yu Yue took her hand and interrupted her. This time, however, Bai Xiaoxi felt sorry for Yu Yue and took back the conversation.
“Actually, it’s me…”
After Bai Xiaoxi finished explaining the truth, the room fell silent.
Ji Fei had expected this and couldn’t help but feel a little amused.
[Although it wasn’t intentional, I bet they’re feeling really guilty now. They’ll probably wake up in the middle of the night and slap themselves, haha.]
Qin Xian, who had been expressionless, almost laughed when he heard Ji Fei’s comment.
Finally, Yu Yue wrapped his arm around Bai Xiaoxi and said with a smile, “I’m going to treat Xiaoxi like my precious child from now on. Hehe, you guys can have more kids and help us meet the quota. We’ll be godparents. Xiaoxi, let’s make a bet on who’ll be the godmother first.”
Guo Yalan immediately seized the opportunity, “I think I’m the most likely.”
“What are you talking about? You’re not even married,” Yu Yue retorted.
“Who says you need to be married to have kids?” Guo Yalan shot back. “If I want to, I can have one, and it’ll be faster than going through the whole dating and marriage process.”
Luo Fei burst out laughing.
Guo Yalan immediately countered, “What are you laughing at? You’re still single and nursing a broken heart. You might not be the first, but you’ll definitely be the last.”
Luo Fei clutched his chest, “Hey, no need to hit below the belt. Besides, I’m not the only single one here!”
Everyone’s eyes immediately turned to the other two in the room—Jing Yan and Cen Ting. There was something subtle between them.
Cen Ting spoke up directly, “I’m also considering the DINK lifestyle.”
Jing Yan was taken aback but quickly added, “I’ll fully respect my partner’s wishes, so I’m undecided. You’d better count on Qin Xian and Ji Fei.”
The mood shifted, and Bai Xiaoxi was distracted, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Qin Xian and Ji Fei. “When you have kids, can I be the godmother?”
Qin Xian, who never wanted to pressure Ji Fei, was about to change the subject when Ji Fei said, “Of course!”
Qin Xian’s heart raced. Even if it was just a casual response, Ji Fei’s words made him incredibly excited.
Did this mean Ji Fei was willing to be with him and even have children together?
After answering, Ji Fei herself was momentarily stunned.
A fragment of memory flashed through her mind—a game of playing house. She was the wife, and she had a little husband. In front of them were three stuffed toys, acting as their children.
Ji Fei wasn’t sure where that memory came from. She had always been uncomfortable with the idea of love, and the thought of having children made her think of pressure and constraints, which she had always avoided.
But suddenly, the idea of having a child with Qin Xian didn’t seem so daunting. It felt like she wouldn’t have to worry about anything, so she had casually agreed.
Ji Fei couldn’t help but steal a glance at Qin Xian, only to find his deep eyes gazing intently at her.
They were filled with so much love that she felt like she might drown in them.
Could she really understand Qin Xian’s usually reserved emotions? Was he really that happy?
Ji Fei felt her breathing quicken, and her cheeks flushed. It could have been the alcohol, but she wasn’t sure.
She was starting to feel more and more comfortable with the idea of sharing a future with Qin Xian.
Ji Fei’s response sparked excitement among the group.
Yu Yue laughed, “I’d say you two should get married first. Even though we’re leaving soon, if you have a wedding, we’ll fly back to attend.”
This time, it was Qin Xian who responded. “Yes, we’ll have one. Wait for the announcement.”
That night, for some reason, Ji Fei drank a bit too much.
With alcohol came boldness.
The last thing Ji Fei remembered was pushing Qin Xian down. It was a long, lingering kiss that left her breathless.
After that, she couldn’t remember anything.
All she knew was that she had something she really liked, something so precious she wanted to devour it.
When she woke up, a phrase seemed to echo in her ears.
It was a voice so hoarse it made her heart tremble.
“Feifei… are you… trying to kill me?”
The tone was so pitiful that Ji Fei’s still-groggy mind was filled with confusion.
But thinking back to the fragments of her memory, Ji Fei shifted in bed, unsure.
Apart from her swollen lips and sore teeth, she didn’t feel any physical discomfort.
[Did nothing happen?!]
Suddenly, the bathroom door opened, and Qin Xian walked out in a bathrobe. Seeing her awake, he paused, looking slightly uncomfortable. There were dark circles under his eyes, clearly indicating he hadn’t slept well.
“How are you feeling? Are you okay?” Qin Xian asked as he approached the bed.
Ji Fei looked at Qin Xian’s bitten lips, knowing it was her doing, but he was asking if she was okay.
Ji Fei felt inexplicably frustrated.
[Come on, you didn’t do anything. How am I supposed to feel anything?]
Qin Xian, who was about to get her some water, froze. Suppressing his own frustration, he continued, “You drank too much last night. Hangovers can give you a headache.”
Ji Fei pouted, her mind still wandering. [So even after drinking, there was no drunken escapade…]
Qin Xian tried to hold back his frustration and handed her the water. But as he moved, the collar of his bathrobe loosened slightly.
Qin Xian had been wearing his bathrobe strangely all morning, with the collar almost up to his throat, completely covering his neck.
But now, his collarbone was exposed.
Ji Fei, who was drinking water, accidentally glanced at it and immediately choked, spitting out the water.
Qin Xian was startled and quickly sat down beside her, patting her back. But the next second, his chest felt cold as someone boldly pulled open his robe.
Qin Xian was stunned.
Ji Fei was even more stunned.
She had seen a bite mark on Qin Xian’s collarbone and wanted to get a closer look, but she never expected there to be more than just one!
On his firm, fair chest were at least a dozen bite marks of varying depths.
His beautiful body looked as if it had been mistreated, exuding a strange, alluring beauty that tempted her to add more marks.
Ji Fei was transfixed by the sight, and vaguely remembered hearing intermittent groans in her ears—low, restrained sounds that had left her heart in turmoil.
