Chapter 22 First Level Raid (1)

Chapter 22 First Level Raid (1)

After setting the bidding time, I opened the shop and went into my home.

I took out the mysterious seed I got from the Wedding Gift Box and planted it on my otherwise empty farm.

"Hello, Master, welcome back!"

I smiled at the invisible speaker.

"Hi, home."

"I see that you have decided to plant something on your farm. Would you like to set reminders to water and fertilize the plant or would you like to buy an automatic watering and fertilizing system from the store?"

"Um... how much does the automatic watering system cost?"

"Please browse the store for the prices."

"..."

I clicked at the home store under "Farming Help". I almost choked at the price. 30,000 gold for a month! The heck. First, I did not have that much money. Second, I was not willing to spend that much money either!

So I did what a good, hardworking player would do. I set up a reminder to water and fertilize my farm every day. And since it would be such a waste to just do the work for one single plant, I decided to plant a bunch of other seeds that I bought from the home store. Onions, leeks, rice, carrots, and tomatoes. Those were all I could plant until my farming level increased.

I went to my Alchemy station and found everything waiting for me. A huge cauldron that hung over the fire pit, and empty shelves on each side. I only needed a pointy hat and then I would be in Hogwarts! Hahahaha! Cough, cough, time to get serious.

Ding.

A message popped up. It was DragonTalon.

"Yo, Antares. I reached 50. I am going for the second job advancement test now. Anything I should be wary about?"

Oh my man. Definitely.

I quickly wrote down some pointers for the second job advancement test, warned him to get enough pots, and told him not to grab the snake when escaping from the wild boars.

"Then what the hell should I grab?" He asked.

I wish I knew.

DragonTalon thanked me for the information anyway and went to take the test.

Now that I had reached the second job and had all the skills that were appropriate for a Healer to do his job, I started to think about raids. The first raid, "The Wrath of Fire Golem", was open for level 50 above. There was no requirement to have only second jobs above joining the raid, but generally no group would take you if you had not passed through the second job advancement. The reason was simple. Fighting a raid required all raid members to contribute everything they had to ensure a successful run. I was a first job myself, and my mage skills were so to say pathetic. The same could be said about DragonTalon.

Aurendiria shared with me the guild raid schedule. It went as following :

Gulp. BlackPuma at his current level of 143 had completed the whole set of the end-game equipment. Amazing. I definitely had to click on his character information the next time I saw him, just to drool over all those equipment. But then a curious question popped up. Why only him? That did not make sense. I really wanted to know, but who to ask? BlackPuma himself? I did not dare. What about Auren, his spouse? I was not that shameless. HellWitch? She would not know. Lazarus even less. Other than those four people, I did not know the remaining guild members well. In the end, I decided to keep my mouth shut and stick to my private business.

It was already Saturday when I registered for the level 50 raid on Monday. The person in charge of organizing the raids was none other than Aurendiria. I later found out that she was the highest level High Priest in the guild, and also one of the Vice Guild Leaders. The other two Vice Guild Leaders were Ingenious and ArrowRain.

Bang!

Two flashy banners with multicolor fireworks shone in the sky, announcing the latest player achievements across the Afterlife Dream universe.

[Ingenious has successfully completed the Fourth Job Advancement. Please send him your congratulations!!!]

[ArrowRain has successfully completed the Fourth Job Advancement. Please send her your congratulations!!!]

Oh. I quickly congratulated them in the guild chat.

"Congratulations, Ingenious, ArrowRain! What an achievement!"

The other guildmates were also busy congratulating them. Meanwhile, I was wondering about DragonTalon. Quite some time had passed since he went for his second job advancement test. Why did I see no banner with his name across the sky?
